We were very pleased with our accommodations at the Murray Hotel. Check in was quick and friendly. We had a king room and it was larger than I had expected. Amenities included a microwave, refrigerator with a separate freezer, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The room was very clean and quiet. There was ample seating to watch tv as well as a desk and chair. The location in old town was convenient to shops and restaurants. Although they don't have a parking lot, there was ample parking on the street in front of the hotel. I highly recommend the Murray and we will stay there again on our next trip to Silver City.

Friendly at check-in. Hotel was nice, room was clean. Issues - coffee available 24 hours, but we could not get them to fill the empty decaf coffee pot. Both coffee pots were empty at breakfast. Guests were not happy. Breakfast did not include any hot items. Replacement of original radiators was not done correctly, our thermostat in the room did not work. They said they had no other rooms available, and brought up a portable radiator. Printer trouble prevented getting a receipt, and the desk employee was away cleaning up the breakfast area when we arrived to check-out. More attention to customer service is needed. Street parking only, so you may be parking some distance from the hotel.

Staff was fantastic! Room was clean. But, that was all I can say. I think they overcharge since their pricing was only $20 less than the next higher hotel. The first night was very hot, making it difficult to sleep. The next day they put in a window ac upon request. There is no parking lot. No microwave, tiny bathroom w/ no counterspace. The room was extremly small. The tv was set for you to add your personal info to access Disney+, Hulu, or Paramount Plus but not even a news channel for free. The hotel boasts old world charm but it is only 80, not that old to me.

The best thing about this hotel is its location in the historic district. All the regular rooms have queen beds and window units for air conditioning. Multi night stays involve going to the front desk to get supplies. Room was tiny but air conditioner barely kept it cool. Staff was minimal and elevator rug needed a vacuum.

I understand the “Historical “ Hotel thing..
But……bathroom sink was unclean and needed to be replaced…also the headboards were fabric and GROSS…
Location was great…

Nice hotel. Comfortable room… everything we needed … and dog friendly.

Room keys did not work; had to be replaced; toilet would not flush due the tank being totally empty; bathroom so small you can hardly turn around; and no ventilation or fan in bathroom whatsoever!

Need better breakfast and water glasses in room.

The property was a good place to stay and walk around downtown.

Aged property with paper thin walls making sleep difficult

Nice but fairly basic hotel. Well located to downtown shops and restaurants. Staff, including the Manager, were super helpful.

Enjoyed a step back in time and a pleasant taste of history. The brewery nearby had a great dining experience.

Walking distance of main street

Great location. Staff was helpful! Very walkable. Room and bathroom very small. No way to control the heat. We had to open a window to cool off. Parking is on the street so can’t always get close to hotel. Breakfast was basic. They could offer a little more for not much effort. We were off-season so most of the shops only open on the weekend, which was a bummer. Lots of history in the hotel.

A charming hotel that takes you back in time. Super clean, comfortable beds, a lobby filled with interesting books, a good simple breakfast and just a short walk from everything in town.

I love the art deco decor and furniture. No thermostat control was disappointing. I cracked a window to cool the room off, and it worked fine, but if I had to open a window more and it was raining with strong winds, that would be a problem.

The hotel was close to cool shops and eateries. Thehotel it self takes you back into a different era in time. The bed we got was really uncomfortable and I did not get much sleep during my stay. Warning to guests that need quiet while sleeping there is an event room on the upper floor and on our last night there was an event that was oud in our room until 10:30 that night. For us it didn't matter as we are musicians and are used to it but just an FYI for those who are not in all I enjoyed my stay and enjoyed Silver City.

Its a pretty old building. Built in 1938, I believe, but it is in good shape. It made me feel like I had stepped back in time. Very polite and professional staff and the rooms were cleanish. The beds were firm and comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate to start my day.

Lovely hotel, nicely removed foyer and rooms. Walking distance to restaurants, might be improved with a bar 😄

Very nice older hotel. Walking distance in town very convenient

Loved the Art Deco styling. Laura at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Pretty good continental breakfast. Would have liked to have an ice machine available rather than the tiny ice cube tray (but we appreciated the good-sized fridge and freezer). Neighborhood *felt* a little sketchy, but there were no issues during our stay that we know of. Extension cord to desktop would be nice so one doesn't have to crawl under the desk to plug in device chargers. Would probably stay again.

Third or fourth time staying at the Murray. It’s our favorite hotel in Silver.

it was nice and quite. We couldn't check in until after 3:00pm. The parking sucks, I had to park on a side street

Only downside of this property is that city street parking only.
Area does appear to be very safe, but.

Loved the old school feel. Right in the middle of town. Short walking distance to restaurants and shops. Heads up parking is on the street wherever you can find a spot. At No cost. Hotel has no parking lot. Was not a problem for us found one right in front. But you may have to park a couple of blocks away.

Very clean. Nice breakfast options. Staff was very friendly. Would have liked to of been able to get an invoice when I left, but was told because I paid in full a month ago they could not give me an invoice.

The historic quality of the property was the most appealing part of the stay. Parking was a challenge but not a deal breaker. My travel companions walked to a pub and got us dinner which was very good.

I really enjoyed the history of the hotel and the aesthetic of the entire hotel, room, and lobby.

Everything is where it should be, in the room, in the lobby, etc. I felt comfortable the moment I walked into the building. A lot of time and money must have been spent to keep this place looking new.

Most of the staff were courteous and helpful. A few were aloof and focused most intently on callers. One was abruptly dismissive of my request at checkout and waved me off because he was on the phone with I presume a prospective customer..

The late afternoon desk clerk was not friendly, but the morning clerk the next day was very friendly. The room lacked a bed table with a lamp for reading in bed.

We have stayed at the Murray before and have always enjoyed it. We appreciate all the rehabbing they have done and it is what it is supposed to be...historic. It is comfortable but not huge and a good place to stay when out and about whether it is shopping, art exploration, hiking, biking...and a wonderful coffee shop is just around the corner.

Bathroom was too small . Rug was old , I didn't like walking barefoot. No parking, i had to drive around looking for parking.

I really like the old era style and quiet.

The nicest Art Deco hotel. All the comfort of a new hotel, but a beautiful 1940’s Art Deco building. And the food in the area was excellent!
