Very close to Jonkers street. Within walking distance. A little dated but worth the location. Don’t plan to be mobile with a vehicle, foot patrol is highly recommended. Lots of things to see within this location. Double jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise

Staff were uninteresred before 3pm. Reception was present but on the phone. Only saving grace of the hotel is Wong who attended to us when we arrived before 3pm. We were allowed to deposit our luggage. Rest of the stay was "meh" corridoor was covered in obvious water patch. Rooms were spacious, everything was chargeable. Nice if you like bugs for room mates

Was a good stay. Had all the basic amenities and was close to the red square and Jonker street. They had maintenance on our floor which took out power and water but we were heading out anyways and by the time we were back, it was all functioning with no problems.

The staffs were very helpful, always ready to help us with the door when we had a handful of bags haha. The environment was great too, walking distance to tourist attractions. Room was clean as expected. Overall great service and great stay!

my room didnt have hair dryer. my sisters' room didnt have air-cond. my room was more expensive than my sisters' rooms but was so basic and ugly. their rooms were so nice. my room didnt even have a window. very claustrophobic. the only positive is the location - walking distance to Jonker Walk

Stayed in the celebration suite. In-room jacuzzi was good! The cabinet under the sink was falling apart though. The sheets and pillows were NOT CLEAN. Didn't dare to touch the sofas either.

The facade is all colonial but the amenities are few. Parking was sparse and outdoor on rocky surface. The towels and other hotel supplies were below my expected standard. Having stayed at other colonial type of hotels, I expected a higher standard. Even the welcome area / reception was dull and not inviting but the hotel room was clean and spacious enough. Breakfast was OK.

The receptionist is not friendly and doesn't even explain where the breakfast is until I ask. The room carpet smell and is old. Not worth the money paid.

The building outside look nice but the service and facilities were very dissappointing. Firstly, the receptionist not very attentive. She only provide my breakfast voucher when I request (she didnt aware). Secondly, the room was small and didnt provide tower. Third, the breakfast area was really small and lack of choices. The breakfast tasted bad too. Please reconsider.

Unique boutique hotel within walking distance rom historical sites and Jonker Street. But quite disappointed our breakfast was not available due to Chef on emergency leave.

the water is hot in contrast the room also hot the air-con is not cold enough even I adjust it to 18 degree and high wind but once setup high wind, it is noisy. some small black ants walk around in the room and buffet room

Very nice hotel with a really strategic location. Almost all famous sightseeing places is within 1km. The only thing need to change is the fragrance around hotel walkway. Other than that, all good and totally recommended.

Congratulations to the hotels web presence.... certainly highlighted its best side, however reality was no where near the photos. Room was ok though a little tired and carpet was in need on a good clean. Air-con didn't work and bathroom was very average. Breakfast was an attempt at western, however the Asian offering were not much better.

We checked in the Deluxe room 216 on the 2nd floor. We were surprised that it was facing a black charcoal like wall. The last time we came to Malacca, we stayed in the Pines Hotel and the view was simply fantastic. In this case , there was literally no view and it was so upsetting as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. We went to see the reception and told them about the room view and asked if they could change the room to better view as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. They could not changed the room and told us to check again the next day at 11am. We were given 2 options to downgrade to a standard room or upgrade to the room with jazzuci by paying RM100 for 2 nights. We decided to take the upgrade. The view was slightly "better" because we could see the shop houses roof tops. We told them we would only come back in the evening as we were going out for the day. We came back around 10pm and thought the hotel would have done something to the room to surprise us on our 30th wedding anniversary. We supposed, Sterling Hotel would not go any extra mile to please or wow their guests on their 30th wedding anniversary.
