Room was nice. Beds could have been softer and needed to clean the shiwer head with vinger. It had a lot of build up which made it look nasty

Everything from checkin to check out was smooth. The staff was friendly and I felt at home.

I was greeted by a wonderful desk attendant who was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you Lisa! The sofa in my room was a bit worn, yet still nice and comfortable. Overall, the property was very clean and my room was prepared well.

Very friendly staff, great customer service! Check in was quick, rooms were clean, miscommunication on times that the cafe was open but made a coffee drink for me (just after they shut things down). Saved me from having to venture out of the hotel, really appreciated that!

Elevator rattled, startling my wife. Employees sitting in the smoking section near the door eith their personal belongings, camped out smoking. Cigarette butts all over the ground. If employees hang out smoking all day, at least keep your area picked up. Elevator looks like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Room had food crumbs on the couch and such from a previous guest.

Helpful & polite staff.

The room we had originally reaked like cigarette smoke, we were then given a suite as the only available room which still smelled like smoke, but we sprayed room freshener to make it better as we had no other option. Throughout our stay, there were still hints of cigarette smoke, which seem to be coming through the ventilation. It was really disappointing for the amount of money we paid. The amenities at the hotel were nice, but our room situation was extremely disappointing.

The facility was great. We had a no-smoking room and when we walked in it smelled horrible from marijuana smoke. $320 for one night in a fairly new hotel and the smell ruined it. Staff was good but no other rooms were available. Sad.

The employees were friendly and helpful. I found the hotel and property clean and in a nice quiet location. The room would have been more comfortable with more lighting, hooks in the bathroom and bigger mirrors in the room. It is a nice hotel.

For our 1 night stay the Hotel and room was clean, There was no trouble with noisy rooms all around us which can make for a miserable stay so we were thankful for this. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, comfortable, and courteous.

They had an issue checking me and my young children in. Had to wait 45 minutes. While everyone that booked through the hotel got their rooms before me. Then they only gave me a free appetizer for my time. Once I ordered the free appetizer, they had the order wrong and it took another 40 minutes. By then, my two kids under 10 were very hungry and restless. They just wanted to get into the room as go swimming. The woman behind the bar and food counter was very friendly and hard-working.

I was actually really impressed with how great our room was! First, it was very clean and that is a priority for me. The room was a decent size, and attractive with dim and regular lighting choices. I thought that it was pretty clever to hide the fridge and microwave behind a panel in a space with the coffee maker. I would not hesitate to stay there again!

The staff were trying to barge in my room to clean before check multiple times even after I told them that I was still in the room. And then she sat in the room across the hall watching tv waiting for me to leave the room. Very unprofessional.

Of all the hotels in this hotel circle, the Courtyard was the best choice and offered the most for the value of this room. I would book here again.

Booked rooms but where not available when we arrived

First, I much prefer to write nice happy reviews of wonderful places providing excellent service. The Marriott Courtyard in Battle Creek is NOT one of those places. My wife and I checked in for three days. The place was generally not clean and the elevators were so bad they posted a sign to let you know in spite of them shaking to the point of scaring people, they had been inspected. Not reassuring. The next day, our room was not refreshed. It was then, for the first time, I was informed their new policy is to only refresh the rooms every third day, meaning, no refresh of any kind for our three day stay. The General Manager did not make herself available to me during my entire stay to explain this horrible customer abuse. I actually believe there was NO management at this property. They clearly misled me on the website knowing no one would make reservations if they knew they would get no service. Plus, they never informed us of “their new policy” until one day after arrival. There are many other places to stay adjacent to this Marriott Courtyard at lower rates which are actually managed. I will not be choosing Marriott Bonvoy for anything in the future. Shame on Marriott. How far they have fallen.
