Completely ok room for the price. The door to the balcony was not possible to close properly so a lot of sound from bars outside came in. I spent miminal time at this hostel

Great location within the gay neighbourhood; close to all the attractions and to good restaurants. Not a particularily comfortable room though, and on the fourth (4th) floor without elevator, so it’s a walk up.

The hostal is really clean and very quite. The only thing is that if you have heavy luggage is really hard to reach it is on the 4/5 floor without lift.

Extremely well located, close by Gran Via and very quiet room. Congratulations to your staff, very helpful and friendly. Only drawback was it was on the third floor and no elevator- so you get your cardio workout! But overall excellent!

Nothing special. A beautiful old building but not all that well looked after. A most unfriendly welcome, reckoned we were never booked in there & tried to overcharge. We have to go back to N.Z. in Dec & go through BANK STATEMENTS to prove we had paid & bow much.
Are you able to check for us & get the refund please?
We have always found Expedia great, but certainly not this time.
We found much more accom. 5min walk away at half the price . Certainly would Not recommend it to anyone.

The stay was nice and pleasant. Great location just two blocks away from Gran Vía. The only inconvenience was the lack of an elevator, the stairs were a bit uncomfortable. Not a big deal for me but it was for my 67 years old mother. Aside from that, I would recommend it. It’s right for the price.

Well, I liked the quaint element of the hostal. Its like being in a piece of history or a reminder of it. Not a modern, plush place but classic with a few, modern touches.
NO bedbugs, mice or any other crawlers. I'm thrilled with that.
No Air Conditioning Unit but a high ceiling fan was in the room and working if needed.
They serve basic foods for a free, continental breakfast. I like that the small, dining room is set for all the guests who eat, dine together. Its like a community of sorts.
The downside is that there are no elevators so one would have to walk to the hotel's 4th floor location but I was fine with that.
Overall, im satisfied with my stay. The price was right. I felt at home and would stay there again.

Clean and very Nice staff. They even stayed up for me arriving after midnight. The loccation is just wonderful. Loved it! It is a hostel and not a 4* hotel so the expectations should be to that, in terms of breakfast etc

Happy with that place. Great area with lots of restaurants around. Breakfast was pretty good. Friendly and helpful receptionists. Pleasant stay.

La Dolce Vita is a lovely place to stay - vibrant, funky and great location. Tasty self-serve breakfast with rocket fuel coffee. Lovely secret roof terrace away from the bustle and steps from Plaza Paulo Zerolo with cafes and bars, performers from breakfast to late night cocktails - but all closes at 130am to aid a restful sleep! Highly recommend!!

I had a really good time in Madrid and the room provided everything it needed to: a good location and a place to sleep at night. The breakfast was a little limited but that was a minor inconvenience. There's a bit of a climb up the stairs to get there so maybe don't book if you have a pram/you are not very mobile.

The location was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the place extremely clean. The only downside was the 4th floor walkup and my room was right next to the bathroom and you can hear everything, water pipes, etc.

Caution: there is no lift and it’s in the 3rd floor (that’s the fourth if your American). Nice enough for a hostel; en suite bath which was nice. It’s in the heart of the gayborhood, so lots of people out at night. It’s walking distance from the Art Museum Triangle, but be sure to use a maps app - Madrid is a maze and it’s easy to get turned around. Friendly staff, but elles no hablar Ingles, so polish up your espanol. Small room but had a ceiling fan. Breakfast included, but it’s minimal. No coffee/tea in the room.

While it was a long climb up several sets of stairs the cost and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff outweighed this drawback considering the very economical cost. The location was close to several attractions and the area was very interesting. It was also close to public transport and the airport bus stop.

Great place to crash in madrid. My tiny cozy room had it alll, tv, desk, little balcony, 2 blocks from gran via. Great plus was the breakfast. Jose @ front desk was super welcoming

I really liked this place and the staff.
I didn't much like the breakfast, the coffee ran out and I had to wait for more to be made. This may seem picky but I need coffee before I can talk so that made me grumpy. Also some cheese or ham would have been nice as there was a lot of sweet food. I don't really like sweet things for breakfast.

It was fine;welcoming and comfortable. The situation was great for what I wanted as I could walk to the art galleries I wanted to see from the hotel. The area was full of character with plenty of cafes and bars and lovely squares. Very enjoyable.

In the middle of Chuecas uncountable bars, just a few steps from Grand Via. Helpful staff, small, clean rooms, the third floor could be streanous without lift, so just take your hand luggage :-)

It's on the top floor of the building. No lift so if you're older and have heavy luggage it's not that easy to carry everything up the very old and worn stairs. Breakfast is served late - starting at 8:30 which means if you're leaving early you miss out. My own room was very small but did have it's own bathroom and a window for air and sunlight.
