Terrible service, owner hung up on us on the phone, we talked to Expedia and they called and he hung up on them . We made an error with the booking and simply wanted to see if there was something we could do, he would not even entertain a conversation. You should never, ever stay at this property. Sleeping in the car is a better option.

The room smelled very moldy, especially the bathroom. Our reservation was for three adults, but there were oily two bath trowels and two glasses in the room.

Black fingerprints all over the walls. Old bits of food in the carpet. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Refrigerator unplugged and closed on arrival - horrible smell. Room itself smelled like mildew and bad air freshener. Air freshener was one of the little pine tree car fresheners

Smell of smoking in non-smoking room.

No frills, but basics included. Comfy bed, hot water, tasty burger. Good to have a safe place to stay the last town before the border. Coffee, bfast not included. Not much to do in the town

This is a no frills establishment, but it is comfortable, warm, dry, in relatively good repair, the staff is friendly, and accommodating.

I have never had such horrible customer service in my life! Stay away at all costs! This is the rudest women I have ever had to deal with!
I recently had a coach travelling through the area with a group of athletes and stopped in there very late and was exhausted and needed to rest. When he stopped, it was closed and lacked any noticeable signage. He was forced to continue his journey without the intended break.
We still got charged. I called the women to explain the situation and asked for a refund. Well holy efff! This woman starts yelling at me on the phone and calling me a liar, keeps yelling and then hangs up on me!
As someone who regularly sends staff to the area and is familiar with the Yukon community, I am appalled by the behaviour exhibited by this owner. The complete lack of respect and decency shown to a paying customer is beyond comprehension. It's disappointing to see such disregard for business ethics and common courtesy.
I implore the management of this establishment to reflect upon their customer service practices. Treating customers with respect and understanding is the cornerstone of any successful business. Regrettably, this incident has compelled me to sever any potential business ties with this establishment in the future.
In summary, the treatment I received from this establishment's owner was shockingly disrespectful and unprofessional. My experience serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering doing business with them.
Just WOW! Grab some sense!

very nice lady who runs it. Very unsanitary and smells worse than anything I have ever smelled

No pet option when booking. At checking clerk was very rude. Would not allow our dog to sleep outside our door. Said they were full and people had allergies. We were on second floor, which was empty but for us. We were outside and were told to put him in the vehicle. I do not recommend.

Owners were horrid people. Would never stay there again.

The restaurant was shut down by the health inspector. The lady at desk didn’t even know how to find a reservation place is run down, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Laughable ameneties. Paid nearly $170 and there was no fridge, no microwave, not even a coffee pot. The internet was working for maybe the first 30 minutes and then nothing. For that price they could have atleast put a $20 coffee pot in the room and made sure the internet works.

I will never stay here again. Rooms were dirty and had a horrible smell. Worst motel I have ever stayed at.

No hot water and heater at night time. Bed sheet is dirty and mattress is soft

Dirty, fitted sheet so small it completely came off bed, no Wi-Fi and you have no business even offering this place. Could not sleep and left in the middle of the night. Would like a refund

Beyond critic. The room had the feel and smell of an old closet at grandma’s house …. neglected and in disrepair. The bed was covered in pet hair, 1990’s tv didn’t work, stains and warped floor coverings, broken shower curtain, nearly no water pressure, etc. Zero amenities yet expensive. Probably one of the worst rooms/hotels I’ve stayed in years. Staff were nice and friendly though! If you’re desperate, have a sleep sack, and won’t mind spending a lot of money for this experience, you’ve found your hotel.

It is an old building in a one horse town. Matt Dillion, the owner offers clean rooms and not much else. Across the street is buckskin Betty’s, the only game in town. After 5 or more hours of dust and gravel, it might be considered an oasis. Best feature by far, were the road construction crews that called it home during the week. Small store that sells gas, Canadian whiskey and beer, as well as a few other things. For a one horse town, a real gem.

The room itself was not bad. I was not pleased that we asked for a room with two beds because my wife and I have our a 15 year old, and they tacked on additional $20 Canadian charge because we have “a third person.” We did not ask for a cot or any other concession, we used the 2 beds already in the room. I guess we could’ve lied and said they were only two of us but we don’t do that.
The restaurant referenced in the title is also closed permanently. They need to stop advertising having a restaurant because it is not true.
Not a bad stay but I won’t stay there again given there are two other local options.

It is good if you stay there for one night. The bed is good and the room is clean but fridge doesn’t work and no microwave. No internet (so weak that you can’t use)

friendly staff, old property, nice considering age.

I didn't have the highest expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Just fine for an overnight while driving the Alcan.

We were grateful to find a room on Canada Day weekend. The gentleman who checked us in was polite and efficient. The room was basic but clean.

Called earlier knowing we’d get there after hours due to Covid testing issue to cross the border. We had to wake someone to get our room. He did say we could change rooms if we weren’t happy, but it was 1:00 a.m., and we were only staying until the morning. The room reeked from mold. And despite the ‘sanitized’ wrap around the toilet seat/lid, it was clearly not sanitized because you could see diarrhea residue on the rim. I travel with disinfecting wipes which further showed the lack of cleaning. And on this particular lengthy trip, I brought sheets and pillows. The sheets on the bed were stained. We stripped them off revealing an even more stained mattress cover. The mattress itself looked to be 20-30years old by the cover pattern. Above the bed was a thermostat which didn’t do anything. It was a cool night and we’d the window to try to air out the room (didn’t remove the smell). The only heat was the bathroom heater on a 15 minute timer. To top it off I noticed I was charged a higher rate than my Hotels.com email showed.
The next morning, I mentioned to the same man who checked us in that the room really needed attention to deal with the smell and he said we should’ve asked for another room. Given the overall condition, I can’t imagine a better room exists there. I pointed out the overcharge and had to argue with him until he finally made a phone call to someone else and received a refund of the overcharge. If the hotel had been decent, I wouldn’t have even asked.

Bed was hard, shower curtain was disgusting, refrigerator didn't work...you'd think for the price we could have gotton some ice. Next time we'll stay at 1202 fas gas across the street. Went there after checking out and she was amazing and helped us out!

Ownership is not good. Booked a room for 2 people, was very clear about that at check in, night attendant still forced second person to pay for their own room (yet still stay in mine). Language barrier, not a major issue, thought I'd fix it with management the next day.
Management refused a refund, said I caused the misunderstanding despite me showing my hotels.com booking receipt that showed 2 people, and the attendant being the one with poor English and communication. Disputed the charge with my credit card, got my money back.
Avoid this hotel, there's a few others right across the street that are way better.

It was the end of the season but, no coffee pot, fridge, microwave - no heat until a portable heater was brought in, wifi didn't work, all this for the rock bottom price of 114.00 dollars!

This is a beautiful place for a place that is literally in the middle of nowhere, clean and well maintained for an older property.

DO NOT STAY AT THE IDA INN
What finally got me to leave?
There was DIRT in the bed. The bed was made , sheets tucked tight, dirt all over inside the bed.
Everything was dirty. I squatted to go potty. I didn’t know want to sit on the bed or touch anything.
I left. I put the key, an actual key,( also, there was no deadbolt or chain lock in the room) in the drop box, got in my car and left. I ended up sleeping in front of a gas station because not only was I not going to pay for another crappy motel, there were NO gas stations open!
See pictures.
I arrived exhausted after midnight. The sign on the door directs guests to room 101 after hours. There were barely any lights on outside, just one bulb on over the door. No sign or lights on outside of room 101 confirming someone was inside the room to help.
I was given room 20, which was in a separate building on the left side of the main building. Room 20 was also on the left side of the building with ZERO lights! No lights anywhere.
The Ida Inn is something out of a horror movie on so many levels.
