We were excited to be able to book a deluxe room for our anniversary. Once we checked in, we were put into a standard room. We were told there was nothing the front desk could do. People were already in it and we could move in to it the 2nd night of our stay. We were offered a $25 gift certificate for the next time we stay. No thanks. Aside from the disappointment of the room not being what we booked, we had a pleasant stay.

Location is central and walking distance to anything in Lava. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is friendly and attentive. Pricing is reasonable and hot pool would bring me back again.

Wifi was weak, everything else was amazing.

There is a private hot pool, just for guests. Most of the others are open to the public, so it was a nice surprise to have the entire pool to ourselves 3 different times!

The Train is loud tooting it's Horn...reason why??? Passed thru 10x's during night. Shower head is in need of a very good descaling cleaning. Refrigerator is not cooling properly. Recommend rooms facing away from railroad tracks.

Was here for business. I have stayed at this property before and it was a unit on the main road. That room was great. This time they put me in the "Courtyard", which was horrible. It's an old cinderblock building, not updated and, frankly, dirty. The towels in the room were filthy, spackle-covered holes in the walls, and the kitchen faucet was on the tub. This is not a great place. I ended up with mouse droppings in my brand-new bag and clothes. Wont do this again. I travel ALL the time to this area and thought I had found a diamond in the rough, boy was I wrong.

Hot tub was dirty, full of leaves. TV Remote had defective buttons and barely functional. Room did not have a single chair. When I asked if I could at least get a folding chair for the night, they refused the request.

From the customer service to the quality of the room and cleanliness was actually really great. One thing I would say is that the pillows were pretty small and and blankets were thin. But my girlfriend and I still really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back in the future :)

The property is dated but clean and in good repair. Check in was seamless and Peggy at the front desk was welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the private hot pool though it is a tiny bit inconvenient in the cold weather because it is a bit of a walk from the rooms. Not the end of the world though. We will be back.

Just an incredible stay all around, the staff was so friendly and responsive and the room was incredible. Especially loved the soaking tub in our room! Perfect weekend getaway!

Many places in Lava are converted homes and I wanted an actual hotel. This place was nice, had a large bathroom and walk in shower. The train tracks go right by town so no matter where you stay you're going to hear them, this place is no exception. It's right in the middle of main street and all shopping and dining were 1 or 2 small blocks away which was fantastic. Parking is cramped as far as availability but we got a spot (last one). My only real complaint is the heater was loud any time it kicked on, which was often in order to keep the room warm in winter. We could also easily hear the people above us and every time they used their bathroom. It didn't bother me so much but it really bothered my sister. Just the way sound transfers through pipes you could hear peeing then really loud when the toilet flushed, their sink, or using the shower. Wasn't a deal breaker for me though. the state owned hot springs were an easy walk, about 4 little blocks away. I'd stay there again.

Parking was very tough, and you have to have an ETA of when to arrive, but we enjoyed our stay and liked the mineral pool

I didn’t like the noise of the heater overpowering the volume on the TV. The floor creaks really bad. Bed is not comfortable.

It was a nice stay. Just needed a place to rest our heads overnight. Enjoyed the private hot spring pool down by the river. Middle of winter and middle of the week so most restaurants close at 8pm and the lobby of the hotel didn't open until 9am. Wishing for a cup of coffee a bit earlier.

Cindy at the Front Desk is the absolute best! The Tiny Home was cute, comfortable, and clean. The hot tub and pool access were worth it as well.
