The owners are super friendly. The rooms are so so, clean but shabby. Unfortunately they placed us at the highest floor with no elevator. I’m fit at 72 but my son is disabled. Once we figured out that we could go up a steep 1/2 flight to the street behind the hotel it was much easier to get to and fro. In the summer the wisteria grows on the trellises and probably lives up to its name.

The place was comfortable and cozy. Nice amenities. Really nice decor at the time of writing (december). The staff were really friendly and helpful. Tony one of the maintneance was the best. Really helped out when the hot water wasn't working. This has been my go to place here in catalina island. And will definitely be coming back.

This is I believe our fifth time at this property and we likes everything about this little paradise,Tony his family are very professional and friendly.. I can wait for our next stay.. this time we stay for 6 days for our 27 Anniversary and our experience was unforgettable.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful unique hidden cottage. Has a full size kitchen. Wish there was a heater; it got cold at night. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay and if ever we visit Catalina Island would definitely stay again.

We stayed in #6 room and the room was very small. The door knob on the rest room was wonky and always gets stuck. There was NO handle on the inside of the shower. One of the lights was always flickering. The room was clean.

I loved staying here!! The place itself is so relaxing and beautiful, and was walking distance from everything we wanted to do. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in an apartment style room which had dishes, a small fridge/freezer, a microwave, a toaster, and a coffee maker. The bed was super comfortable, however the bathroom is very small and the water felt a bit weird and made our hair and skin very dry. We didn’t really mind that though because that is to be expected for old Catalina buildings and the price was so reasonable it didn’t matter to us much in the end. Would definitely recommend for couples or people on a budget who still want a beautiful and relaxing stay!

There slid some sort of downy mattress topper like they use in Europe. Super comfy. This is an old building(s), but instead of feeling run down like some of the other old hyped in town (catalina cottages), it is well kept and charming! Loved the whole vibe and will be back.

La Paloma is a charming, rustic group of tiny houses facing a common long outdoor stair-path, each bungalow with a small front patio with chairs. There are windows in front and on the sides. Our bungalow had two rooms plus bath, with sink outside of the bathroom. Quiet. Comfortable, clean, and with courteous staff. Pricing was lower than many places. While you do not have a view, the location is close to Vons, and easy to walk to from the main street. You cannot cast your handheld to the TV :( But overall, we were well satisfied.

Very close to the beach and the Vons across the street. Clean and adequate facilities including a kitchen. Very affordable price for the accommodations. Definitely recommended staying here!

It was a very good experience overall. The building was not new but had everything we needed. I could recommend to take a corner unit to have more privacy, but it's the best quality-price proportion you can get in Avalon. The only our complain was neighbors who were noisy in the morning from 6 am and in the evening till midnight.

It was a relaxing stay. Really recommend for anyone looking for a nice calm place to stay. So much green all around with plants great views.

Such a cozy little place with so much character. If you are looking for a pristine resort with unlimited amenities, this is not the place for you. Minimal amenities here, but everything you need to stay comfortably. Unique little rooms with slanted floors and crooked walls that have stood the test of time. The rooms are updated, but without losing the feel of their original design. Great location within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Would stay again

La Paloma Las Flores is charming. We didn't want to stay in,"new". La Paloma was built in 1920 and has all the charm of stepping back..The rooms are spotless and anything you need the owner Tony is more than happy to help.. location is wonderful..right down the street from the new Vons and a quick walk to town and the sights..will book again for next trip.

My favorite place to stay in Avalon.

This is our 3rd time back to Paloma and we love the convenience of a full kitchen, the staff is great, very friendly and helpful and there are so many plants and flowers which is a great setting to spend time at. We plan on making this our Catalina Island Hotel.

Was very nice and cute cottage and I as nice visiting with everyone on patio. Family friendly. Just doors need some TLC they get stuck a lot or don’t close all the way.

Charming place with lots of pretty tile creations and a fountain. Room had everything we needed, jetted tub was really nice. Room had a large balcony. Walkable to groceries, the beach and shops.

We had an amazing stay at La Paloma Las Flores. The staff if very accommodating. The hotel is filled with charm and quaint art decor. I can't wait to stay there again.

What a cute little bungalow! Stayed here for a few nights because it was one of the affordable options and I’m so glad I chose this place. Great service, cute clean room, cozy vibes. Lots of plants around the property making it nice and green. Walking distance from everything. Cold AC, warm shower. Very happy!! Would recommend!

On an island of boutique hotels, I thought this one was the cutest. Warm, friendly, helpful staff. Cool in August as rooms are under an arbor of wisteria, I didn't need the air conditioner. Must be able to walk steps & incline of Sunny Lane, which has a big population of hummingbirds. Quiet most of the time, with some neighbors pausing to converse with kids outside my door in the morning. It was clean and comfortable. Just the right space for busy island vaca! Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, great service, great location and great staff. Highly recommended, will stay again.
