Our stay was very enjoyable. Customer service was really good as most our excursions were booked through hostel...we had everything booked prior to arrival. Buying groceries was not easy and they really get you on exchange for credit card (US cash not accepted). Pool was very refreshing as the 38 degree temp and no A/C was tough on us older folks and we finally caved after 3 nights and got a room with AC. I would of liked filter coffee just to get my day going. Overall if you are into hostels I would recommend this Backpackers

Nice atmosphere, clean rooms, friendly staff in a pleasant quiet location on reasonable walking distance from the town centre.

Beware of booking transportation with this property.

Stayed two nights. No water and power on the first night until 10pm. Water ran very weak and had times with no water. Did not wash hair for two days. Other than that it is a lovely place to stay with its peaceful and quiet. It is not close to city centre. Need to take taxi, appr. 5USD each trip.

Everything was as advertised and they all have good hospitality. I enjoyed the fish massage and swimming pool where l had a chance to learn how to swim.

It was evident that management really cared about the experience their guests would have. No matter how busy, they were cheerful, helpful and always took time to answer questions as well as provide information and help arrange activities in the area. The whimsical touches throughout the property were delightful. It was easy to meet and have conversations with other guests which resulted in several activities we felt lucky to hear about and participate in.

good cheap place,mostly young backpackers.iwas the only older person I saw,. The staff were friendly and helpful. and the place is charming.and very colorful and pre try.

Rooms and premises are alright, but they charge 3 US Dollars per day (!!!) for the WiFi.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The chef was especially great :)

My second time here, I love it! Great staffs who fully supports your activity booking, nice pool and poolside to chill out.

Nice laidback hostel place. Ensuite baths nice feature for a hostel. Big surprise was the fish spa, worked well on dry calloused feet👍 The meal service was a little uneven, but IT’S A HOSTEL.

The Darter Room is small but nice - although it would benefit from better separation between the bed area and the bathroom as the two are more or less wide open. Lots of interesting stuff around the place itself (like a fish spa and hammocks) that were fun to use. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is generally good although additional payment is necessary. Rooms get hot but can be cooled down sufficiently using a fan. Wifi is good but very annoyingly requires a payment of $3 per person per day, which is almost unheard of even in budget hotels these days. Location is not bad - far from the main area (though this is true of most hotels in Victoria Falls) and is very safe and quiet.

What an awesome backpackers. The staff were BEYOND helpful during our stay. They organized everything we asked them to. Very friendly people and the place was so unique. Would definitely suggest to friends!

The VFBP was great value for money. The ‘room’ was clean, had comfortable beds and the necessary mosquito nets, although was a little small with two people standing up. The property had been well thought out with quirky extras such as swings, fish pedicure pond, free to use aloe vera plants and hand carved garden chess as well as the pool. The showers, toilets and kitchen were basic but perfectly functional. The highlight for us was the great service, especially from Jay, who with no fuss for us, arranged all of the activities we wanted with the outside organisations so that we could fit everything in. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Had to pay daily for internet that didn't reach room, which they did not tell us. Up on arriving have to ring a bell to be buzzed in but had to wait quite a while to actually even hear from a person on the intercom. Chef can only cook 1 thing at a time, so it can be slow, but he was lovely and food was good. Rooms as clean as can be expected. Overall good experience. Would book again.
