Cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in all year. The was such a fun place to stay for my husband and I. Good breakfast bar with gluten free options. Loved the modern minimalist look of the room. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back.

Never again! Computer had no keyboard and the touch screen was too hard to use. Shower was IMPOSSIBLE to figure out and couldn't get hot water for 10 minutes. Front desk dude couldn't care less. TV remote was cryptic and impossibly difficult to use. No canopy over entrance - got soaked by rain unloading car. They should focus on making the amenities easy to use instead of making everything stylish but difficult to use.

We had a very good stay. It was very clean and very fresh—I’m guessing they remodeled recently. A good continental breakfast with oatmeal, omelettes, sausage and pancakes. There isn’t a pool, but they do have a fun gaming room with a pool table, dome hockey game and board games available. There is also a variety of snacks for sale. There are several restaurants a short drive down the road.

Very clean facility. Staff was very friendly. The only drawback I would say is that the room thermostat was pre set with no way to adjust. Room was cold for our liking.

It all started upon arrival. Found hairs in the shower and then that led me to doing a better check of the bed. And sure enough that also had hairs from previous guest. Called front desk and was given another room. SAME EXACT issue! And another, same. Finally I got tired of being bounced around so decided I would stay if they made sure I got clean sheets and replaced them myself. Sheets and even the mattress pad underneath had to be replaced because they both had pubic hairs left from previous guests! In the morning, the staff member on staff was super rude and refused to give me her name. Finally spoke to the assistant manager Jerica Shiu. She also didn’t offer any apology for the inconvenience and was rather more concerned with getting me out of there. And made excuses for her staff member rudeness and the condition of the hotel. Granted this is not an expensive stay, but at the very least I would expect basic maintenance to be upheld. I have documented all this in case they try to dispute.

First time at a Tru hotel was very impressive. I traveled extensively for business few years ago so I stayed in all 4-5 stars hotels. This one was on the top of all of my stays. Heidi the manager was over the top with friendliness and help with anything. Will defiantly be searching out Tru hotels in the future

My brother and I decided to break up our 12 hr drive from MN to MI by staying overnight in Madison. We had no idea what hotel to book but I always remember that any Hilton property has always had great beds and are very clean. The Tru by Hilton in Madison was great! Of course the beds were very comfortable which was great after being on the road all day. The cleanliness of the room and especially bathroom was superb! The breakfast was wonderful also, with pancakes, already made so you don't have to stand and wait and the nice array of egg fritatas, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit selection. We had many choices for hotels in the Madison area in the $75 range, but Tru by far, exceeded our expectations! Thank you and we will be back!

Great hotel. Nice dining area with games and stuff for adults and kids. The service was great. The kids loved the pancake maker. The rooms were really great and the beds were great!

Larry was at the front desk when we checked in and was very nice and welcoming. He gave us recommendations on restaurants in the area and answered all our questions. It just happened that he was at the desk the last night of our stay. We enjoyed sharing with him our dairy story and why we were in Madison. It was his turn to ask us questions and he was truly interested in all that we did back in Virginia.

This is maybe good for a single person staying on business but not so much for a married couple. Rooms were small and minimalist. We had some trouble with a faulty electrical plug. Only two body size towels for the shower and most women use that on their own (one for body, one for hair). Went to the included breakfast at 9AM and a bunch of tables still had chairs on the tables which seemed odd why no open the entire area? Pancake machine didn't have batter but employee quickly got some. Coffee was empty and desk clerk rolled eyes when I told her but it got refilled. Employees didn't seem real interested in doing much and were a bit indifferent to guest needs. All in all won't go back.
