I was very impressed with how clean the room and bathroom was, it wasn’t even loud.

Kitcuen could do with a drop area for dirty sink clothes. Suggestion only 😀

We loved how cozy the hostel felt. It was comfortable and clean and convenient. A little noisy with the music downstairs, but we expected that. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Everything was bad

Location. It is located eating area, many different types of restaurants. There is one parking lot near it, and it is free between 8pm-8am. The smart lock on the room door was broken, but a key was provided. It is worthy the price paid.

Management was quite rude towards myself and my partner and there were messes in the bathroom that remained in cleaned the entirety of our stay. There was no flexibility with check in and we were faced with rude responses when asking if we could check in even 10 minutes early. However the bedroom was clean and we had nice clean towels.

This establishment is downright disgraceful. Located under a bar, it serves as a place for parties after closing hours. The place is trying to give itself a friendly air for backpackers and small budgets, but it failed. It's dirty, noisy and unsafe. Do not try to obtain service in the event of a problem, it is impossible. Absolutely avoid. I was supposed to stay five nights. I left after three nights. No one responded to my multiple complaints. Expedia: You should not recommend this place to your customers. It's a shame.

Location is excellent. Checking in is quick. Room is dusty. Drunk ladies came at 1:00 am laughing, chatting while everyone was sleeping.

Some neighbours described as a "Hell Hole"; someone else told me that:" it is better to sleep in your car than in this place..!" I was really idiot to book this place. Big mistake! No liquid to disinfect your hands, no distanciation! Dirty and somber! If you call, pray that somebody will answer you for help! Stay away. There are better options.

Stayed for a night as it was the cheapest we could find in Canmore. This is a cooperative building and had self-check in. We did not have any instructions on where to park and it was hard to contact the hostel owner. The room was small and you have to share washroom and kitchen with others. We found an used Q-tip on the room floor.

The place has character. In comparison to other hostels, this was the worse one I’ve been to. You get access to a kitchen and washroom, both of them dirty when I arrived. The rooms were okay. They weren’t lying when they said the hostel would get REALLY LOUD. Not from the bands or DJs from the bar below the hostel, but from the other guests. You’ll have people running up and down the halls yelling at each other at 10pm. From what I could tell in my 3.5 hours staying at the hostel, expect that to continue well into the night. Lights out at this place doesn’t exist. Masks in common areas aren’t enforced either; no one wore a mask there. I had enough and left the hostel at 1:30am to drive to my next hiking destination. Had a better sleep in my car through a thunderstorm than I did at the hostel. Different culture there but not my cup of tea. You get access to a bed, washroom, kitchen, wifi, and a roof over your head for the night. I picked the wrong hostel to stay at in canmore! Do yourself a favour, take that $40 and stay at the canmore DOWNTOWN hostel, or drive 21 min up to Banff and stay at Samesun Banff or Banff International Hostel. Either this place is charging too much or other places are charging too little but for that same $40 you would have spent here, you can get a vastly better experience and stay at any other hostel.

No AC in 30°+ weather. Impossible to sleep. Room wasn't cleaned out properly between stays and the sound insulayion was terrible.

we booked a private room for a Thursday night and it is quite shock to know the room is exactly above the bar when arrival. the bar hosted live music performance and the whole room was vibrating. I do not think any person would be able to sleep even with ear plugs. We tried to communicate with manager but the result was quite disappointing and not helpful at all.

Do not stay here if you plan to sleep. It is meant for party crowd! People were constantly having issues with key cards not working. Good luck getting staff to help with this early in the morning after they’ve been up partying all night!
