The staff at the Villa Durante were outstanding! They were professional, friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcomed. The family suite was spectacular; the entire Villa was a testament to days gone by and made us feel like we had been transported back in time. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our room. The Villa is a very short walk to the Herculaneum and various restaurants and outdoor cafes. Staff at Villa Durante made a dinner reservation for us at Lo Re and our experience was superb! We highly recommend the Villa Durante and cannot say enough good things about the lovely ladies running this establishment.

The property was styled in an authentic Italian style. The rooms were very spacious and well appo. The communal areas were massive and beautiful in decorated. The staff were polite efficient and helpful.

Our short stay at villa Durante was a beautiful experience from start to finish. We arrived at a very humble front entrance and was treated by the lovely Valentina. She escorted us up the ancient stairwell to the front entrance of Villa Durante…the doors opened and the magic began!!!! I felt transported, back to the renaissance era. The beauty of this palazzo has to be experienced to be believed…. although the pictures on the website do a good job of sharing the exquisite rooms. The lovely and gracious Theresa, had our breakfast beautifully laid out for us at the dining table, at the very early am, as we requested. The breakfast was delightful and plentiful. The location…. steps from the Herculaneum ruins… and proximity to old Naples was perfect for our stay (20 min by car, local Transit makes it great location) In all… if you enjoy history and beauty Villa Durante, and their staff will not disappoint!! Teresa, Valentina and Maria were lovely hosts who made our stay extremely comfortable and pleasant. The accommodations were breathtakingly beautiful and comfortable.

We stayed here because we went to Ercolano Scavi. Only 2 restaurants within waling distance and the Pizza place was good. Room is better in person than even in pics. Some items in disarray and broken (like mirror, etc) but our overall stay was amazing. The Breakfast... no words. Blew us away with the amazing food and presentation.

Wonderful old mansion converted to a BnB. Apartments are incredibly spacious with multiple rooms and decorated and furnished with old world charm. Excellent breakfast delivered on a table to the room.

A beautiful 17th century villa converted into a three room B&B. Literally steps away from Herculaneum and across the street from a reasonably priced Michelin restaurant. Private parking inside an enclosed courtyard. Helpful staff. Overall a fabulous place, where would certainly stay again.

Villa Durante is a magical place to stay. The staff is extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. The facilities are gorgeous and historical. I felt like royalty staying at the Villa! The Herculaneum ruins are a 5-minute walk, so this is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the ruins. In addition, they arranged our transportation to Pompeii, which is only a short 20-minute drive from the property. It was such a pleasant stay here, I would highly recommend it for a one-of-a-kind experience!

The door is easy to open from outside, but not easy to lock from inside. The breakfast is good. You can request milk. Easy to park since it has own parking spots, maybe only two since there are two units. I am not sure. The staff is nice.

The receptionist was very helpful and guided us to a very good pizzeria in the area. The room was smaller than I thought it would be but was comfortable. We were glad that parking was available but tight. But I guess it’s normal for Italy. The breakfast with very nice and the staff was very thoughtful. Thanks for the hospitality.

This BnB was truly breath-taking. We loved our stay here and would return in a heartbeat. The breakfast was incredible and brought to our room each morning. It was also easy to explore the local area and walk to the next town. The staff were great and we would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing place to stay and enjoy a quieter part of Napoli. Great restaurants nearby that the ladies recommended for us. Room was gorgeous and great for 2 adults and 2 kids in the upstairs room. Thank you!

Within seconds of meeting Maurizio we knew this would be an excellent stay. The whole family are fantastic--very personable, eager to help any way they can, and incredibly accommodating. Breakfast was spectacular with endless choices, and the property! Oh my what a spectacular villa. We had the suite and the views of the bay at sunset, the incredible vaulted ceilings and the amazing furnishings and decor were absolutely stunning. I do hope it wil be available on our next trip, what a fantastic stay!!!

It was quite fun staying in a true Villa with common areas that were huge with soaring 20 foot high ceilings. Our review had a circular staircase leading to a loft bedroom.

This is a beautiful property. We stayed as a family of 4. The staff were amazing, breakfast very good and it’s a walk to Herculaneum. You need to call before you arrive to get in and have a parking place inside. We recommend Herculaneum before Pompeii as a visit so you see the better preserved first. For those that don’t mind a short drive and the real grande experience. The bedroom is fantastic.

Huge historic property

This is a beautiful old Villa in Ercolano. The area has grown crowded around it but I would stay there again as it is located walking distance to amazing historical Herculaneum ruins. It is close to train line (think Sorrento and Pompeii) and good local dining sports that are reasonably priced. The staff are really great and worked to make our stay the best experience.

Great location for visiting Herculaneum. Super comfortable bed, good shower, very clean. Lovely staff Claudia and Theresa. Recomended

You will never stay anywhere like this It doesn't have a bar It doesn't have room service It doesn't have a pool It will HAVE memories Lovely restaurant literally across rd.and a few bars nearby Excellant and the person who moaned about water temp hope he doesn't have any mirrors at home or that will be more negativity

Lovely old palazzo, cheerful staff, hotel located next to Ercolano ruins (our reasons for staying here) … book the w large rooms if you can - expansive, well priced, and quite elegant. Also a very generous breakfast served with a smile! Of course this is not the Four Seasons but it is priced very well. Issues? It was super hot the days we visited - airco was - well - barely adequate - but that often happens; we have friends who own large palazzos in other parts of Italy and it can get very hot despite airco. The owner of Durante was helpful and did what he could. They could have more electrical outlets for chargers - computers - etc. But perhaps that is only an issue in the small room we rented (only one available). We just unplugged a couple of lamps —- The town of Ercolano isn’t very touristy except for the ruins - inexplicably the ruins are closed on Wednesday during high tourist season! But Villa Durante has parking, and if you are driving it could be a good ‘day trip’ central location to drive to Amalfi Coast or Napoli to explore, and return to palazzo to sleep every night. There was a large outdoor market as well very near the hotel that was fun to see. Also - the owner Mauricio has a charming and quite tasty restaurant just across the street we would recommend.

18th Century Villa very well preserve and with the best breast ever “do not skip it” Teresa, Claudia and Georgia are amazing and they will go out of their way to help you in anyway. 5 min away from the Archeological site 1 minute away from a Michelins tour guide restaurant (Viva Lo Re) 25 minutes from the city of Naples away of the crowds but close enough to visit the city. Great place and great town overall. Hidden gem location and central for all tours to Sorrento, Positano Amalfi, Pompei and Vesuvius Good travels!!

Rare accommodation in the first level of an old palace, feel thrown back in glorious old times. We had a room on two levels. Partially old furniture in connection to the house, partially modern furniture. Instead of bath towels you get a bath robe. Tasty breakfast was brought to the room. Parking in the courtyard. It was a special experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, we have appreciated that. Herculaneum in 7 minutes walking distance.

Breakfast was wonderful and on our schedule. We really enjoyed the living spaces for relaxing in the evenings. This Villa would be great to book all three suites for family gatherings.

Very rural but fabulous place to stay, excellent service and the staff helped us organise travel to Vesuvius and Pompeii. You must try Viva Lo Re and the fabulous wine bar just around the corner.

The room is beautiful, large, and having a lot of frescoes. The in room breakfast were delicious with plenty of fruits. Staffs, Teresa and Claudia were very friendly and eager to communicate with us and help us. We enjoyed our meals at the owner’s Restrauant across the street every night. This hotel is in walking distance to Herculaneum and short train distance to Pompeii ruin. I would recommend to stay in this hotel if your main interests are visiting Herculaneum, Pompeii, and Almafi coastal cities in three days.
