Stayed to make regular trips to the Prince of Wales Hospital, my father was hospitalised there. 12 minutes walk from the hotel to the hospital.... was perfectly clean and enabled me to rest well while making regulsr visits.

First time I've stayed at the hotel and can't find anything to fault it, though was disappointed that the pool was being serviced (could have done with email to let me know - given it's a 5* hotel). Had been looking forward to a roof top morning swim each day. Concierge service was very good trying to find us a larger taxi, helpful and friendly. Did not have time to eat in the restaurants. Nearest MTR (tube/local train), was 10mins walk away, there is a SevenEleven at the base of the hotel. Though it's in the New Territories, you have to get the Red taxis rather than Green ones (same price - cheap).

We enjoyed the stay very much. The safe inside the room is a very nice feature; before we go, I wasn't sure per the online description because it describes both front desk safe and in-room safe, didn't know which one is true. Just one thing: they didn't turn on the heated pool function and that's a disappointment; the whole time we stayed there, it's not hot Summer so we didn't actually use it much at all because it's not heated, heated pool is a part of the selling point / attraction (especially the night skylight view) to us.

10 min walk to the closest station but it is manageable. Not much shopping or restaurants near the hotel. Lots of options with 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel is nice and clean. Staffs are friendly. Has the shuttle bus to the shopping mall etc, it is a plus to the hotel.

Great shower. Rooms are small but clean. Location wasn't great but the hotel does provide free shuttle bus. Not much shops in surrounding areas. Overall it is pricey.

5-10 mins walk to the MRT station. They have free shuttle buses but the wait time is long and limited. It is easier to take the city buses instead. Otherwise, the hotel is new and clean.

Very clean and cold. Too cold for seniors, we turned off ac upon entering the room. Entrance door very h heavy , staff didn’t know how to turn thermostat down. Cleaned room every day without charge, the shower door closed ajar, so floor was always wet after shower. Good thing they clean every day. The shuttle is on time and goes to couple of metros. Bikes are free to enjoy bike path and garden across the street. Check in and checkout was outstanding. Look forwards to returning.

The staff and customer service are excellent, the hotel condition is clean and neat keep up the good work and I definitely will recommend others to Hotel Alva. If the shuttle bus service can expand to few more popular locations and longer hours will be much better.

There are rooms for improvement in enforcing no smoking in hotel rooms as it was absolutely disturbing in smelling smoke from the air vents in the midnight.

The Alva hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and nice. The location was great for me because it was close to family, but it is not in the major tourist areas of Hong Kong. There was a free shuttle to an MTR station, so overall convenience was good, too. Overall, I had an extremely pleasant stay and would happily stay there again.

Staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. They went all the way to help us. This is true for everyone - from front desk, concierge, house cleaning, dining room. Facility is very modern and clean.

Liked rooms as they were modern and comfortable with very good bathroom facilities. We didn’t like the fact that the bars and restaurants seemed to close so early - we feel as a resident of the hotel we should have been able to purchase a drink at the bar at least until 01.00 am.

Nice hotel. Clean, quite. Swimming pool and gym are nice. They also provide free bikes. It is a smoke free hotel, but I smelled smoking cigarettes in the corridor, after complain, they responded. I stayed there for 14 nights, it happened only twice. I think I will book this hotel for my next visit.
