This was our third time staying at this hotel. We have always loved it in the past but this time we booked a room with two beds because we had family traveling with us. The noise from upstairs was unbearable. We could hear the other occupants talking, screaming, moving furniture, and everything else. We would stay here again but not in one of these type of rooms.

Second time here in a month and we loved it. The room had a ton of space, the pool is great, and the drinks are fantastic.

The facility is very nice.
Staff is extremely friendly.
Some rules such as no outside beer allowed on the beach when 3/4 of the selection offered was unavailable! Seems extreme.
We order al lobster pizza prices at 1026 pesos assuming it’s a nice place it should be good…. Was disgusting, frozen crust and gross disappointed with that for sure.

While the property is phenomenal, the service and hotel policies are unfortunately the opposite.
- A US$1,000 deposit is required at check in. This is absolutely ridiculous amount for what this hotel offers. Not even the Four Seasons asks for this much!
- Debit cards are not accepted for deposits. Only credit cards. All other hotels accept this without question. It is actual cash at hand!
- Food and items at the hotel boutique shop is way overpriced and does not do justice for the quality that is offered. Ie. a pizza was US$44! A straw hat US$300! Insane! These guys think they are in the maldives or something
- We felt like staff was trained to forget about what customer service really means and focus more in to how do we profit the most from guests. Ie. No juice refill at breakfast and portions of fruit and yogurt were probably smaller than kids size. Anything extra would incur in an additional charge. The whole time felt like they were monitoring every single drop that guests had. Very disturbing. Zero tact and no clue about customer service.
- Every time they would bring a bill, it would be printed with a "suggested" total with 15% tip included. Although this practice is common in other places, particularly the US, this is not appropriate. Gratuity should always be optional and discretionary based on quality of service. Never to be imposed and demanded.
We will not stay here again and we'd rather pay more to be at another where they know how to treat a guest.

The service was wonderful at this property. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They went up and beyond to make sure we have a pleasant stay. Especially Orlando is such a gentleman and a problem solver. Him and Ignacio (nacho) our heroes. On our last day there was a state of emergency due to a high waves taking over the island. There were no means of transportation in the island.
They did everything to protect us and make us feel safe and comfortable. They arranged all the transfers for us to make sure we make it to our flight. very grateful for this team, knowing so many people got stuck cause their hotel staff abandoned them.
The free breakfast was pretty awesome. They provide freshly cut fruits, granola and yogurt as a starter and let yo choose and entre from the breakfast menu, fresh juices and coffee and it goes until 12pm.
The pool is heated and The beach at this hotel is the best among the rest of island. It's exactly like in the pictures, turquoise color flat water looks like heaven. do not go during windy days then the ocean gets rough. The food at the hotel was average, I recommend eating out at downtown. There is a bit walking distance from downtown but it totally worth it to be right by that beach cause the shore near downtown is not nice.
Even though it has a old rustic look the rooms and facilities are new, nice and very clean. There are yoga sessions 3 times a day everyday. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Loved this hotel! The rooms and hotel were so beautiful!! But the best part had to be the beach access the sandbanks started from our hotel and the view was just magical. I truly can't wait to go back! We drove by all the hotels near by and this was by far the best one, so happy with our decision in staying here!

We stayed at this property on NYE. The hotel hosted a loud party until after 2 am on NYE - we were not informed of this party when we booked the reservation and because of the party, no food or drinks were available at the hotel on NYE and we were forced to head back into the city center to find an open restaurant on NYE (which the hotel did not assist with). The room walls are very thin, you can hear everything in other rooms, and we were woken up at all hours from people walking around outside or upstairs. We also had no assistance with luggage, and the service was extremely slow.

The property is stunning and it's definitely located on the best on the island. The staff is extremely friendly and nice. Food is fantastic. A true gem - perfect to relax and disconnect. Highly recommended.

Amazing vacation.

The hotel is really nice, clean and accomadating and it was great to have breakfast included daily.
The only negatives I would say is that you can hear everything through the floors, so bring ear plugs. Also, we booked this room for the amazing stone tub (hard to find in Quintana) and the hotel doesn’t have hot water. We thought it was just a problem with the water but we asked and no, they actually don’t have it and the weekend we were there was stormy and cold for august. That was disappointing to not be able to enjoy the bath. Would stay here again, but not for the tub :)

I booked this hotel for my parents and the following is their review:
“Very nice structure, but terrible service.
Conclusion: Avoid this hotel, as on the island, there are plenty of better opportunities.
We spent 2 nights in this hotel and had several issues with the way they attend to the clients: we booked a tour, but they canceled it 15 minutes before the start, leaving us without options and losing one day out of three. We had breakfast included, but it starts late (8:00). We asked to have breakfast at 7:45, as the tours start at 8:00, and they asked us to pay the full price because it was out of the planned time (a scam). While we were enjoying the beach, they sent us away because of a private event. They have a small number of sunbeds, but they let people occupy them even if they stay away for several hours (resulting in several clients occupying them early in the morning and then going around the island).
In addition to all this, the rooms are not properly designed, and you can hear any noise coming from other rooms or from the traffic outside (impossible to sleep without earplugs). As partial compensation, they gave us a 3-hour complementary late check-out, but it was definitely not enough for all the problems they've created.”

Okay, so to be fair the location is the only good thing.
The rooms are terrible in the sense that you can literally hear EVERYTHING from the upstairs rooms! Everything, as in like a wife mad at her husband and calling him an ahole lol.
Not to mention the steps, you hear every single one of them.
Is way overpriced for the food (not good or authentic).
The beach is the only beautiful thing.

The property is amazing! The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Everything about the property is wonderful however, the staff is HORRIBLE! They over charge for things. We asked for an early check in so they charged us $50 US and let us in 20 mins before regular check in even though we arrived 2 hours before. Everything we asked for they would not accommodate.

The service was terrible. They were rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. All hotels, start with good customer service. They have potential because the property and beaches are beautiful. They need to change how things are run. It’s obvious that the management is the problem. Or lack of.
Secure knocked on our door one night, or I should say pounded, and told us we were not allowed to talk in our room. Never had an experience like that. He made us feel unsafe and threatened in our presidential suite. Unacceptable!! Any other hotel will have better service than this one!

Amazing and unique hotel. Excelent service.

We had 3 rooms. One room was ridden with mosquitoes and had to move. One night our room door was pounded on like it was a police raid and we were told by security to stop talking. No music or anything, just sitting at the table. They came and pounded again after we had gone to bed and were just in our rooms. 5 people in a little house, of course we’re going to talk and laugh, that was the point of the stay.

Amazing location, very nice hotel with the best beach we saw on all of Holbox. There biggest downfall is that they charge more than anyone for drinks and food on the Island. Would stay here again but will drink and eat elsewhere. One other thing if you have trouble with stairs get a ground level room as there are no elevators.

We loved Aldea Kuka! It was really neat & we loved the private beach in front of the hotel! We will definitely go back!

If you're looking for a slice of paradise on earth, look no further than Hotel Aldea Kuká in Holbox. From the moment you arrive, you'll be transported to a world of tranquility, beauty, and relaxation.
The hotel itself is a stunningly designed oasis of calm, with beautifully landscaped gardens, cozy hammocks, and a refreshing pool to dip your toes in. The rooms are spacious, stylishly decorated, and offer all the modern amenities you could need, including air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a luxurious bathroom.
What really sets Hotel Aldea Kuká apart, though, is the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. From the friendly and helpful front desk team to the attentive housekeeping staff, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable.
And let's not forget the food - the on-site restaurant serves up some of the most delicious meals you'll find on the island. Fresh, locally-sourced ingredients are expertly prepared by the talented chefs, and the menu offers a great variety of options for all tastes.
But perhaps the best thing about Hotel Aldea Kuká is its location. Situated just a short stroll away from the pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters of Holbox, this hotel is the perfect base for exploring the island's natural beauty. Whether you want to swim with whale sharks, explore the mangroves, or simply relax on the beach, there's something here for everyone.
Overall, I can't recommend Hotel Aldea Kuká enough

Absolutely loved the hotel. In my opinion they had the best ocean view and cleanest beach area. The staff was super accommodating and so attentive. The details of this hotel are just wow! Worth every dollar! Highly recommend

Amazing location on a quieter section of the beach but close enough to walk into town. Property is great, kept clean and lovely setting. Staff you meet around the place were all great, bathrooms lovely and good showers. we had a free 15 min massage and Denise was brilliant.
BUT it is not worth the money you pay. When we had questions for reception, they couldn’t offer recommendations or helpful answers which id expect from for this amount of money. The food is too expensive considering how much cheaper restaurants next door are. The breakfast menu is confusing and on different days some bits were included some weren’t. They too often ran out of what we asked for from the menu. The biggest problem however is the noise in the rooms. I could hear my neighbour showering from my room which isn’t right for that cost. You can hear conversations, music from the bar (and we were furthest from the bar). A bit of soundproofing couldn’t go a miss. I’m glad we were on the top floor as I imagine the sound would have been much worse.

The property is absolutely amazing and the staff is all so kind and accommodating. The food presentation and quality was top notch as well. The location is great as well as its not near the very busy part of the island

This property is AMAZING. Yes you are on a rather remote island. Knowing this going into it helps. The food, staff, accommodation are worth every penny. Go check it out!

It’s my second time to This resort, it’s pretty quiet here. Everything is very cutely decorated but the rooms are not mosquitos proof, one night I was bite so badly that it kept me up til 7am even if the spray that the hotel provided. The mosquitos kept coming in through the gap of the door. Also if you want privacy do not book the honeymoon suite. It’s next to the alley by the convenient store and you can heard they music and people’s conversation very clearly. I wanted to move to another room and the hotel is wanting to charge me $200/ night for the next upgrade . People are nice and it’s one of the nicer hotel in Holbox but be prepared of mosquitos attacks at night.

This was our second time in Holbox, but first time staying in Aldea Kuka. Absolutely amazing hotel. Attention to details, all stuff is very nice and helpful. The design of the hotel goes perfectly with the landscape which makes it look very natural. What we loved the most was the breakfast, 5 starts to the chef and 5 stars to the breakfast team, all extremely nice and helpful.

The property is beautiful, very good service, food was great and place was nice and quiet. Only issue is there are too many flies around the restaurant area, so difficult to enjoy a nice lunch on the terrace.
5.0
Very unique property. We were welcomed with cold towels and a welcome drink (full drink, not a cheap welcome drink as would be expected). The beach is AMAZING, one of the best I’ve ever seen. The food is really high quality, better than most we’ve stayed at, and the service and friendliness of the staff is exceptional. The only thing I noticed was that the pool had a lot of debris floating around and there was bird poop around the edge. But who needs a pool when you have the amazing Caribbean right outside your door with no seaweed unlike most everywhere else in this area!
5.0
This property was not only well maintained but they also provided top notch hospitality, beautifully designed rooms, and some of the better food on the island. The stretch of beach where the hotel is located was ample and clean compared to other resorts. We would highly recommend Aldea Kuka and will be back one day!
