This home has a rich history, is beautifully decorated, and well maintained. The guest rooms are large and well equipped for an older home. Our room had a modern, updated bathroom and a Kuerig coffee maker. The outside areas are wonderful-we sat in the evening with a glass of wine. Elizabeth, the host, is gracious and gave us several great suggestions for places to eat. Janice was terrific. One morning she told us all about the history of the house and the original owners.
The reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is my opinion of breakfast. Any B & B I’ve stayed at breakfast was plated and served. Here it was “help yourselves”. I don’t mind but I was confused the first morning & had to ask other guests what to do. Most of the breakfasts were good, but we didn’t care for the couple southern breakfasts. They’re nice to taste but I would’ve liked a more traditional option as well.
All in all , you’ll love staying here.

Beautiful home and gracious host. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable beds. The only negative comment was the room we stayed in. Three girlfriends so needed a room to accommodate the three of us. It was the attic room and it looked like it had been thrown together and not finished but we still enjoyed it!

We took a long weekend trip to Vicksburg and stayed at Oak Hall! Location is great, property is amazing, hosts are so friendly and welcoming! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends or family needing a place to stay in Vicksburg.

We really enjoyed our stay!

Oak Hall was a lovely little BnB on our route to our destination. I normally wouldn’t have booked a BnB, esp for one night but the reviews for all of the hotels in the area were awful, rated as unclean, etc. We were happy with our choice and would definitely stay again! The home was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood was so quiet! Definitely give them a chance in you’re in the area!

Oak Hall is a gorgeous, well kept historical home!
It is very clean with no musty odor! Our bed was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the nice bathroom. The shower had great water pressure!
Would have appreciated someone there to greet us on arrival; assuring us we were at the right place & showing us our room.
We ate breakfast when it was first available but the eggs and bacon were warm, not hot. Biscuits were fresh and delicious!
We were happy to meet our host in the morning and learn a bit more about Oak Hall!
Overall a great place to see and feel Vicksburg!

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The owners were terrific, the house was beautifully restored, the breakfast was fantastic, and I enjoyed sipping wine in the evenings while finishing my work on the front porch. My room was also excellent; very clean, the new bathroom had great water pressure, hot water, and soft towels, and the bed was comfortable and cozy. I'll definitely be back.

A beautiful and well restored historic mansion near town center in Vicksburg. Owners and staff were terrific partners in us enjoying our stay. Great breakfasts and pleasant socializing organized by Elizabeth the owner.

We absolutely loved our stay at Oak Hall BNB. We arrived super late but we were still greeted and showed around. The house is beautiful and our room was perfect for our family of 5. The beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying there next time we are in Vicksburg.

We traveled with another couple and all four of us kept raving about Elizabeth and Oak Hall B&B! From the moment we walked into the massive front hall, we were made to feel “right at home”. The spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms upstairs, along with the beautiful wood floors and stained glass windows, are absolutely gorgeous! Elizabeth and Don definitely have a vision for the home and a plan for implementing it.
Our rooms were each unique and very spacious and comfortable. Elizabeth calls her breakfast “Grab and Go” but each morning we came down to find a full hot breakfast of eggs, bacon…well, let’s just say, the works.
We would recommend Oak Hall B&B to anyone making a trip to Vicksburg. If you go next summer you just might be able to take a dip in the new pool being installed!!

Best accommodation of our trip in a beautiful house. Lovely host and enjoyable breakfast.

Beautiful property, our shower is going to be updated, there needs to be another table in bathroom for placing bath items, nice breakfasts, not much interaction with owner, having coffee in room is awesome and ac control was a big plus.

Oak Hill was a great choice for our stay in historic Vicksburg. Check in was so easy. The room was spacious and spotless. Fluffy towels and a comfortable bed are essential and Oak Hill had both. The house is beautiful and the morning breakfast was delicious. Owner Elizabeth told us they will be installing a pool next year so we'll need a return trip.

We had a wonderful stay at Oak Hall. Elizabeth and her mom, Nancy, made us feel right at home. They were helpful with ideas of things to do and where to dine. Maria had done a great job with cleaning and having needed items in our room. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. The air conditioner worked well and kept us very cool for July in Mississippi. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Elizabeth put a lot of thought and time in preparing a pleasing menu of unique flavors. I highly recommend Oak Hall.

What a beautiful home. Oak Hall is a treasured craftsman-style B&B with modern amenities but filled with authentic mission and 1920’s decor. The entrance hall is stunning, with a large door, grand staircase and beautiful, original stained glass windows. The gorgeous coffered ceilings in the library, with comfy furniture makes a great relaxing place to read a book or play a board game. The dining room and butlers pantry are well equipped for breakfast with many choices and delicious options. The rooms are spacious and also well equipped with amenities such as a coffee maker, refrigerator, television, hair dryer and we found the mattress comfy and loved the thick, Turkish towels. Elizabeth runs a tight ship and the house is immaculate! She served a casual breakfast that included many choices such as fruit, breads, waffles, yogurt parfait, eggs, juice and coffee. She also told us as long as she is told ahead of time, she can accommodate for dietary needs.
We plan on staying in the future and love this hidden gem in the quaint and historic city of Vicksburg. You will not be disappointed!

The BNB and staff were great. The surrounding area is a mix of old homes being remodeled and old homes falling down which is why I rated it moderately. However overall it was a great stay. Highly recommend.

Oak Hall was beautiful with a lot of woodwork and gorgeous stained glass windows. Beds were extremely comfortable. Room stayed a perfect temperature. Breakfast was wonderful and so was the breakfast lady.

Staying at Oak Hall was one of the best travel decisions we could have made! The historic charm and interior design, the comfortable amenities, plus the warm hospitality of the owners/property managers Don and Elizabeth made our stay in Vicksburg most memorable! In addition to some nice offerings in the communal kitchen complete with chilled filtered water, breakfast with homemade jam, cheesy grits, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and biscuits was also a delight! Highly recommend visiting Vicksburg, and staying at Oak Hall.
