Great comfort at a great price, Convenient location near Fisherman's Wharf. Plenty of dining choices nearby. Only drawback was the bathroom floor and shower were extremely slippery, but that seems to be the case at most hotels. Friendly, easy check-in, as was the maid. Will stay there again if I ever make it back to Monterey. Finally a hotel that has a great handicap accessible room.

This was probably the cutest motel I've ever stayed in. Rose bushes line the parking lot and the place looks like it has a fresh coat of paint. The person who helped us seemed to be the owner. He was very kind helpful. He walked the property during business hours to make sure guests had what they needed. This place was clean and when we walked in the room it smelled really good (not something I'd expect from a random motel room.) the location is fantastic for exploring Monterey and you're within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. I would definitely stay here again but the bed was so uncomfortable that we'd need to bring our own pillows and maybe a mattress topper.

Simple, clean and quiet at a ok price. No frills. No breakfast no coffee. We'll come back if they don't raise prices. Room was nice. Just need lamps next to beds, the lights on ceiling blind you laying in bed or you're in the dark.

Very clean room comfy bed microwave and fridge clean tub and shower good location near restaurants and shopping. The small thing TV stop working during the right. The night clerk came really quick to fix it did a reset of the cable box but no TV. The day clerk is a nice man. Other than that I would stay again. There were no lamps in the room just overhead lights. Very quiet place.

It was perfect to sleep at with my sons and it was very affordable. Small, but clean, and safe.

The lovely front desk lady allowed me to check in early and was super friendly. The room was very clean, smelled nice and was roomy for my needs. Some people have noted thin bed coverings so either plan accordingly or turn up the heater but no concern for me. For the price in the area, the room and service I received was so well worth it, would stay here again anytime when in the area.

Power went out. Get it. Not motels fault.
But ...closing office door and not even offering blankets to guests for cold night without heater? Not cool, not cool.
Also, no refund or partial refund for night without power, heat, hit water. Not cool.

This place was nice and clean. Especially the restrooms are super clean and neat. Parking was also good. The person in the front desk was really awesome and friendly. This becomes my favorite places to stay whenever I visit big sur.

The modern, updated, clean room was miles ahead of other, more expensive motels in the Central Coast region, and in an area that felt safe. But my room was very cold (despite the very loud heater unit, which i finally had to turn off to sleep), and the room was noisy enough that i had a very hard time sleeping (outside street sounds, but also the room's fridge, heater, and the lobby/staff lounge area immediately next to my room, along with other inexplicable bumps and bangs). I finally dug out my earplugs and got some rest.
I'd probably stay here again just because of the cost -- but I'd ask for a room farther from the staff area, and might not stay again in winter.

The place was clean and looked newly renovated. I wish there was a carpet. The floor was too cold during winter. I also didn’t feel very safe around the area.

The manager does not speak or understand the English language and is inept/slow with computer skills. He repeated himself several times requesting identification while I was standing in front of him pulling out my driver’s license. Several requests for a receipt were met with a blank stare. I don’t blame him for his lack of qualifications or training; I blame the owner for putting him in a position for which he is not qualified. When I went into the room, the window was open. I didn’t notice (because the drapes were closed) until I got in my car ro go to dinner. So, I went back in to close and lock the window, but the lock would not engage. So I had to take all of my belongings with me. There was no safe in the room. While the room seemed clean, there were food droppings between bed and nite stand. There are no lamps, only harsh overhead lights without dimmer switches. Heat pump was the loudest I’ve ever heard, requiring me to adjust TV volume every time it turned on or off. The price was right and typically I enjoy staying at small, independent “mom and pop” type establishments, but I would not return or recommend this place.

This little place was just what we needed. The manager/owner is top notch on service. The place was super clean and recently updated. They have everything you need (microwave and fridge!). Bed was just okay. Location is a bit out of the way and you need to drive places. If folks outside are noisy you can hear them, but we didn’t have much trouble with noise. Overall I would recommend, especially for the price.

This is probably the only place I will stay. My parents have offered me to stay at upscale hotels and I’d rather stay here. The price is cheap all I need is a place to put my head bed is comfortable! And instead of paying 300-600 dollars I save way more money and can do things cause I have more money! The manager is polite he makes sure that everything is fine with my stay that I don’t get from upscale hotels. If you don’t need to be pampered this is the spot and all around you are stores.

Great value for money. Very clean and well maintained property. The bathroom floor was so clean that I could see my reflection on the floor. Toiletries included body lotion which is going out of fashion in motels. I loved the property for the short stay we had at Monterey.

Super convenient and close to the wharf, beach, aquarium, and other shopping areas. Cute and clean room. My husband and I would definitely consider staying there next time we visit Monterey (it was our first).

We were here for weekend getaway. Just slept and left for day activities. But in my opinion rooms were small and floor was really dirty. Ice machine was broken so we couldnt get ice. Traffic area and close to airport. We can hear airplanes during day. Once were were asleep we could not hear anything. I guess okay for what we paid for compared to other hotels.
