Villa Corisande - A beautiful, child-friendly Villa with breathtaking views
About this villa rental
Villa Corisande is a three bedroom villa with uninterrupted views of the unique Bay of Kalkan, and the Taurus Mountains tumbling to the sea, from no less than four levels. Most afternoons, a gentle sea breeze is welcomed by our guests, to temper the heat of the Turkish sun. Kalkan is very hilly; but unlike so very many properties, no taxi is needed to get from Villa Corisande to the restaurants and beach - it is only a 10 min walk downhill to Kalkan village centre or the weekly market. Villa Corisande offers its own private pool and terraces on three levels. The roof terrace offers simply spectacular views over Kalkan, the bay and mountains, and a brick-built BBQ for al-fresco dining. At pool level is a shaded breakfast-terrace; afterwards bask in the sun or laze in the shade of the parasols by the poolside, taking in the unforgettable views. A further brick-built BBQ is available at pool level. The substantial pool terrace has loungers and parasols, and plenty of space so you don’t feel crowded. The third, lower terrace has cushioned garden furniture, allowing comfort and relaxation away from the noise of the pool-fun, but still with lovely views over the bay. Also at lower level is the Ottoman-style undercroft – with its own cushioned seating, offering total shade in the heat of the day, and a secluded retreat with soft lighting for a romantic evening. Inside, the villa is comfortable, with open plan kitchen, dining and living areas. There is air-conditioning throughout; three shower/bathrooms (one en-suite) and a separate bedroom balcony. The villa is very child-friendly. The internal stair-cases are gated. We have three high-chairs, travel cot and a play-pen, on request. There is also available a Graco buggy. There is a wide selection of childrens books and toys for children up to age 7 and a large box of Duplo. The villa has Internet Access

Clean and spacious property with everything you need including very good wifi. Great communication with property manager who popped by day after arrival to check all ok, also gave loads of tips on where to go and what to do. Only 10 minute walk to town down hill and can get a cheap taxi back. Lovely pool, outside area and roof terrace with views you never get bored of. My 18 year old daughter had friends stay for a week and they loved the downstairs bedroom/bathroom annex with separate entrance. Property is on a steep hill as is most of Kalkan which you do get used to.

We had a lovely time in Kalkan but there were a few issues with the Villa. The key one being the third bedroom wasn’t in the Villa but in a separate annexe downstairs. This would have been a real problem if we had traveled with young children and should be made clearer in the listing. The outside dining space didn’t have proper chairs just camp chairs so we couldn’t sit at the table comfortably. We used the dining table chairs but there were only 5 of those and they were uncomfortable. So was the sofa seating in the lounge. There was no furniture on the roof terrace which was a pity . You couldn’t use the barbecue as the new iron railings that have been fitted on the door now block the barbecue. The kitchen facilities were adequate but the cafetière only served one person making it a laborious chore to make coffee for multiple people. There were no small bowls. We couldn’t find anywhere to buy small bin liners for the toilet bins so had to use shopping bags which seemed an unnecessary inconvenience for something so cheap and easy to provide. The road is not busy but so very steep that any car, moped or van passing grinds their gears and makes a terrible noise. The neighbour is grumpy and has a noisy dog. You cannot park at the top gate despite being told you can as the refuse collections cannot pass and we got shouted at ( by grumpy neighbour) to move the cars. It’s in a nice location albeit a very steep climb, as with most Kalkan villas to be fair, but with lovely views and with some TLC and new furniture could be lovely but it’s a bit tired and not enough of the little touches were provided to compensate. Looking at neighbouring villas of a similar style we were envious of their shady and well furnished roof terraces and modern patio doors!

Would have liked mirrors on the bedrooms. It had a nicely stocked kitchen however although there was loads of crockery we were forever running out of glasses

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The villa was very well appointed and homely. Although slightly dated, it is exactly as pictured. We would definitely book again.

Just returned from Villa Corisande after 12 nights of complete relaxation. The Villa had absolutely everything we needed, was spotless, spacious, had fantastic views and a lovely pool. The wifi kept our teenagers occupied, the cool breeze round the pool kept my husband happy while reading one of the many books from the villa. The villa is about 10 mins to the big supermarket and market and a tiny bit further to the centre with lots of shops and restaurants. (Mostly Turkish) Some of the restaurants deliver food to the villa.
The resort is hilly and steep outside the villa.(we had already been told this)
Sharon & Rambo who look after the villa and its guests are lovely. Sharon very kindly helped arrange a surprise evening boat trip for my husbands 50th. She was able to give excellent advise about the resort and replied promptly to any messages sent. Rambo came every morning with fresh bread and had a quick natter. Fantastic asset to our holiday and the villa.
All in all, a brilliant holiday was had by all.

A real home from home with everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday. The Villa is located in a peaceful community just far away enough to ensure a tranquil stay but not too far to walk down into the centre of Kalkan even with young children. The Villa sits on the brow of a hill with the most fabulous views from the outside terrace day and night. This is our fourth visit and we'll definitely be back!

Thank you Fiona for letting us stay at Villa Corisande we had a fabulous week! The villa was fantastic, everything you could need and more. We especially liked lolling in the pool (which is lovely, very well maintained) while looking out over the pretty bay of Kalkan <3 We loved it so much we ate IN on the first night! Had a lovely BBQ on the roof terrace while wowing at the views. The snug is a very nice place to chill out with its pretty lights and traditional ambience. The aircon was great and well needed during the heatwave from Africa...phew! Ramo and Sharon were very welcoming and helpful, brought us fresh bed everyday and kindly replaced the water butt when needed. Really don't have anything negative to say about Villa Corisande I'm sure we will be back :) Although it is situated further up the hill it really wasn't a problem. The walk into town through the back streets was very pleasant and didn't take long at all. Meant we saw and discovered more of Kalkan's little gems. We walked back and also got taxi's which were very cheap 10 Lira which is next to nothing. Kalkan itself is stunning and hosts some fabulous restaurants and bars. We hired a car and visited Patara, Kas, and Saklikent Gorge which was amazing and well worth a visit. There were plenty of options to get around without a car, such as buses and organised trips. Really do not have anything negative to say about Villa Corisande or Kalkan. Would highly recommend to everyone :)

Quaint villa with a lovely private pool area. Wonderful views across Kalkan. Not too far to walk to restaurants. Rambo and Sharon made arrangements for us to spend a day out on a private gullet which is a must. The food was amazing at lunchtime and jumping in the sea to cool off was just perfect.
Lots of evenings were spent sitting on the terrace enjoying the cool breeze. Kalkan is a lovely place to spend a holiday.

The villa was a delight, homely, comfy, with fantastic views out to sea from terrace, it had every convenience of home. Very welcome use of washing machine and a dishwasher which was a godsend. The pool was fabulous and used constantly by all the family. We enjoyed eating in the villa as the facilities were first class. The town centre had some lovely restaurants where we dined out regularly as well. The air conditioning was very welcome, however there was a wonderful breeze also. A Car wasn't necessary as taxis were on hand and the shops are in easy walking distance. Wonderful service from Sharon and Rambo the managers who attended to any request, plus a fresh delivery of bread early every morning which was lovely. One of the best family holidays we have had and will definitely be going back as soon as possible.
