Golden Hill Town Forest Loop, a trailhead for leisurely wooded hiking, is less than a quarter mile of the home. Sandy Beach on Laurel Lake is directly across Rte. 20 from Golden Hill. The public access boat launch for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and ice skating is less than a half mile. 2 minute drive to downtown Lee, 5 to Lenox, 10 to Stockbridge, 15 to Pittsfield and 20 to Great Barrington. 12 minutes to Bousquet Ski Mountain and Resort, 21 to Ski Butternut and 34 to Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort. Very convenient location to access all that the Berkshires has to offer! Overview of Home: The main floor offers an open living plan with many windows, sweeping views and an abundance of natural light. From the front door, the entryway will lead you into a welcoming living area with sofa, loveseat and gas fireplace, where you can relax after a long day of exploring the Berkshires. Beyond is the open kitchen, fully equipped and stocked for preparing epicurean meals in the company of your friends and family while enjoying our lake views. The space flows into a dining area with dining table and seating for six. A hightop table at the bay window offers additional seating for 2, and countertop seating accommodates 5 more. Sliding doors will lead you to our 2nd story deck with grill, dining table for 8, bench seating and patio chairs. Speakers on the deck allow you to enjoy the bluetooth stereo while mingling with your company. This spot is a highlight of the house, and in pleasant weather, where you will want to gather. You'll enjoy the peaceful setting and stunning views - and in the evenings, watching the breathtaking sunsets over Laurel Lake. A very relaxing and enjoyable space! The main floor also includes one bedroom with queen bed and full ensuite bath with walk in shower. The living room sofa opens into a comfortable, full size bed, offering additional sleeping for 2. The spacious upstairs loft is furnished with a queen bed, full sleeper sofa and daybed with trundle. In all it accommodates sleeping for 6. The full ensuite bath has a jetted tub, walk in shower and seated vanity. Comfortable sitting areas and marvelous views make the loft another great space for hanging out. The lower level has its own kitchen (not stocked), eating area and living space. Board games and bluetooth TV are provided, making this a good go-to spot for children to play. Sliding glass doors will lead you out to the brick patio, where additional outdoor seating, dining and entertaining space is available. There is an umbrellaed table with seating for 6, as well as a sitting area with loveseat, patio chairs and coffee table. The patio flows into the spacious back yard where corn hole and ladder ball can be set up for your recreation, weather permitting. The lower level also includes one bedroom with 2 twin beds and full ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. The living room sofa also opens into a comfortable, full sized bed, offering additional sleeping for 2. The garage is outfitted with a tournament grade ping pong table, foosball table and electronic basketball, creating an additional game space.

This property easily fit all of my family of 11 for our girls’ weekend in the Berkshires! The house and view were beautiful, and our hosts were very communicative and thoughtful. The location is great and it was a quick drive to the downtown area as well as the nearby Harvest Festival. I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable, relaxing, and wonderful vacation!

We enjoyed our stay this weekend and highly recommend this property. It was clean and well equipped. The layout is open and bright, very comfortable, pretty views from the deck, very relaxing. The owners were responsive and provided helpful and clear instructions. Easy check in and check out. The location was perfect, close to everything and it's a pretty area for walking. Thank you!

This was every definition of a lakeview retreat! The house and property were beautiful and clean and had everything we needed to have a fantastic stay. There was plenty of sleeping space for each member of our group as well as a large common area for meals, playing games and hanging out. I would highly recommend this property to other large groups!

We rented this house to ski in the area with 2 families (4 adults and 6 children) and it was exactly what we were looking for! Very clean, had everything we needed, very easy to communicate with the owner and overall a great experience. We will definitely come back next time we ski the Berkshires!

Best host ever! Kari is the perfect host, from communicating about check-in, answering questions, and getting things fixed when needed. She is flexible in accommodating guests' requests and sharing information about interesting events close by that guests could enjoy. Her hospitality was top-notch; leaving us thoughtful tokens to welcome us to her beautiful home. We had a really good Friendsgiving and it was because of Kari sharing her beautiful home with us. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Lakeview Retreat during our long weekend trip to the Berkshires. It was well-stocked with amenities and was very neat and clean, so everyone felt right at home the entire time. The location was beautiful and quiet – we loved waking up to the water every morning and looking out over the views while we had breakfast. It was very clear that our hosts had put a lot of care and attention into making sure that we felt comfortable as a guest in their home, which we all appreciated so much! We would definitely recommend this host and location to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in the Berkshires.

Located between Hartford and Albany making fly-Ins easy. Hosts exceeded all expectations about communicating, clarifying parking options, room options. We would return without any concerns. As landlords ourselves we hope to model this hosts’ behavior.
