Loved everything about the property

The Guesthouse is delightful, with beautiful views. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. Our room was lovely, particularly the bathroom which was supplied with very nice toiletries. We enjoyed a delicious antipasti platter and cheeseboard in the evening. The complimentary wine-tasting was a great bonus! Breakfast was excellent. Overall, we felt that the Guesthouse provided great value for money compared with other places we have stayed. Would definitely recommend!
Unfortunately, the Guesthouse does not serve dinner on Mondays, which was disappointing, but we knew that soon after we booked it and decided to go anyway. However, a limited Light Bites menu is available and what we had was beautifully presented and delicious.

The food was great and of good quality. The breakfast which was hot was much appreciated as opposed to cereals and bread. My partner and I really liked staying at this place - out in the country but not too far from country Armidale. Inside the facility we loved being able to sit in the lounge area on comfortable chairs in front of a large open fireplace. As the kitchen was just in the next room the smell of food being cooked was sensually stimulating.
A small thing but two mornings in a row they seemed to burn my toast or perhaps I should have said to them that I preferred it lightly done but other than that I had no issues with the food.

No shelf in shower.

This is a special stay in a country house with wine tasting and great food on the property. A real treat to step back in time and relax in the lounge or on the verandah or in the garden. Delightful!!!

The accommodation was very comfortable, the staff were wonderful and the meals were excellent.
Unfortunately the weather was very wet and stormy so we didn’t have an opportunity to walk around the impressive property.

Very pleasant stay

Breakfast nice. Location lovely. Evening meal excellent.
Aware tent going in the front which will return the ambiance of the garden. When parking at winery could see the back work area which was untidy. Suggest playing some music related to the period of the house. The containers outside the northern garden bit of an eyesore. Be good to have some deck chairs/ comfortable garden seats or picnic rugs to relax in the garden for reading or take in the views. Maybe have photos and write up about the Suffolk Punch horse which was bred at the property.

Meals were lovely, would have liked to enjoy the outdoor areas/lawns with comfy lounge to read a book under the trees. Would have enjoyed a picnic on the lawn.
More history about the Suffolk punch 🐴
More information regarding the wines at tasting
Shipping container spoiling the beautiful vista

only 7 rooms for guests made it very personalised
in summer could be a bit hot without air conditioning

The location on a wine-growing property was delightful. The buildings and outbuildings reeked character and were superbly maintained. The staff were great, dinner in the restaurant was first-class (as were the house wines) and breakfast looking out on the manicured gardens was way above our expectations.
Nothing to dislike - our stay was perfect

Beautiful old property in amongst the fields and vines. Friendly, attentive staff. We arrived too late to go to the cellar door but the staff gave us a personalised tasting on lounges in their great hall in front of the fire. Dinner was delicious and good value. The included breakfast was top notch.
Loved the elegant room and the gorgeous old garden.
Looking forward to staying again!

Petersons House is a fantastic find. The history of the house, wines, the food, the staff went above and beyond. The suites are of a great size and very quiet. Love the heated bathroom floor. The great hall (reception) is an incredible room. Sarah who met us at reception, took care of everything and was just amazing. It is our new go to place between the Sunshine Coast and Sydney.

The Breakfast and Dinners where above expectation Compliment to the chef.
The furniture could have been better arranged in the rooms a little boring would like to see the chairs with a table under the window looking outside instead a cool leather lounge looking towards the bed.

The ambiance, the warmth of the log fires in the evening. The old world charm and the good service.
Didn't appreciate the curtains in our room hanging off the rail, certainly an eye for detail in everything else. This was not a cheap room but it made it feel like it. Understand the Heritage listing but it should be rectified before visitors arrive.

Petersons was fantastic the homestead converted into accommodation is stunning. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful and spacious. The dinner I had was delicious and those beef cheeks out of this world.

Warm and comfortable room. Spacious. Lovely dinner and the wine was excellent. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. It was great to sit in front of an open fire before our meal.
Breakfast choices were a little basic and our room was a little dark.
