This place makes us feel cozy. However, the cleanliness is not up to par. There are lot of dead bugs in some corners of the room and around the windows. Also found some calcium around the kitchen faucet. Look like the cleaning service didn't do a good job. Why should I pay for cleaning service?

The owners were professional innkeepers and it shows in the decor and amenities. Loved the location and the peace of the river. Very quiet neighborhood.
The cottage is getting a little run-down and needs a little TLC. Would have been nice to know about the well water. Would stay here again.

Manny and Susan were gracious hosts. I’d rent from them again. Very accommodating during a very busy weekend!

Darling cozy cottage. Bed super comfortable. Quiet except occasional neighbor dog who greeted us when we arrived in the dark when we didn’t expect it! Shower valve could use improvement. Back patio nice to just sit out on. Open floor plan which was nice.

Nice cottage feel. Enjoyed my morning coffee on the back patio, nice way to start the day.

This cottage is in a small community, set far from the road--very peaceful and lovely, where you can just sit and watch the river go by, or play horseshoes in the front yard! Some maintenance issues made it harder for us to enjoy our stay, but the owner is very responsive. We loved being close enough to RIT and all kinds of shopping and dining, yet we could retreat at any time to this cozy, well-appointed getaway.

Small cottage along the Genesee river. Very eclectic furnishings. Bed was comfortable, kitchen functional. We enjoyed watching the boats go by as we sat out on the back patio. Quiet, secluded setting.

Was cozy and comfortable. First time in Rochester, so we did sightseeing for most of the day and relaxed at the cottage in the evenings. Good place!

The property matched the description and the pictures. It was very quaint and cozy. We had a great time visiting my daughter for Thanksgiving and spending time together. It probably would have been even better if it was warmer but it was November.
The neighbor dogs were a challenge to deal with since we had our two small little fur babies with us and the dogs seem to just openly roam around. This is nothing like where we live where that is not allowed.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this property. Everything was clean and cute. We appreciated the simple things such as the fluffy towels, clean and warm bedding, the stuffed mouse in the rafters, shampoo samples if we had forgotten, etc. There wasn't anything that was missing and we truly appreciated that things were there if we had needed them. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy time with our adult kids.

Nice quiet getaway with relaxing setting- great location with easy drive to Rochester or Letchworth State Park

This cabin is very close to RIT and is just the right size and has super-cute decor. The air conditioning worked as it should, and there were plenty of pots & pans. No dishwasher, but there was a working coffee maker and the fridge and stove/oven had no problems. The property needs some maintenance (feet-tall weeds growing out of gutters, acorns absolutely everywhere in the back yard/porch, inches of dust on the ceiling fan, mold in the shower...), but there didn't seem to be any issues resulting from accepting pets. Though we might have stayed west of Rochester if we knew the area a bit better, our family & doggo were content.

Stayed here to visit family in Rochester, great location, close to grocery stores and restaurants 20 min drive into the city. Super clean and cute place, everything we needed to prepare quick meals. Also washer& dryer was appreciated.Communication with owner was excellent! Only negative were the mosquitos, could not enjoy the outside area, not a fault of the owner.( they did provide bug spray)

Quaint waterfront cottage giving the feeling of a vacation away from the city, but minutes away from RIT, groceries, stores, restaurants. Quiet cozy space to be with family and friends. Will go back every time I visit my college student.

The cottage was a perfect place to unwind and relax while visiting our daughter in Rochester. We loved that it was pet friendly as we aren't allowed to visit without her dog. We headed over to beat some spring snow and the owners let us go in a few hours early at no charge. We love finding places that allow us the comforts of home and met and exceeded all expectations. We will certainly booking it again the next time we visit.

Great place to relax and unwind. Quaint and cozy. Close to parks and hiking trails. Spent quality time with college daughter and able to give her some well needed home cooked meals and family time!

It was very relaxing to sit on the back patio and watch the river meander by. The house was much larger than the pictures suggest. There was plenty of room for each of us (4) to find private space. Wifi worked well. Kitchen was well appointed. Could easily make Thanksgiving dinner there, except no dishwasher. The well water contained a large concentration of minerals. While safe to drink, bottled water is a must! Water pressure was good. The shower was a bit finicky. Where the hot water was on the shower dial depended on the day and on the moment. Sometimes 10-11 o'clock. Sometimes 1-2 o'clock. Off was either 6 or 12 o'clock. We were there to quarantine per New York requirements so our daughter could start her freshman year at RIT. If we have a need to return to Rochester for another visit, I would try to rent this house again.

we had a great time. The house is really nice, clean and comfortable. The view over the river is great. Rochester is really close and so is Lake Ontario. We enjoyed staying at Susans house! Many thanks for letting us stay in your house!
