The guests were very friendly, despite difficulties in communicating in English. They even went out of their way to prepare a salad for me when I arrived, even if the restaurant was closed. The room was clean, very well maintained, reasonably spacious, and I liked it overall.

The town is what it is: small, provincial, with people a bit suspicious if you speak anything other than clean German (even an accent is somewhat frowned upon).

An extra blanket would be useful, especially if we only get a little one on each bed, thank you!

Positive: + Room was very nicely appointed; it would not look out of place in a 5-star hotel + Perfectly clean + Plenty of free parking + Walking distance to a few restaurants + Right in the city center

Negative: - Very loud! The hotel sits in the intersection of three roads, so it has cars stopping and going at all hours. When we were there, it was hot, so we had no choice but to open the windows. Unfortunately the noise from the cars and the people walking by was too loud. So we closed them and just suffered with the heat - The breakfast was just ok, limited selection with no cereals. Drip coffee in Europe? I do not remember ever staying in another hotel where the coffee was not to order, freshly ground. - The door on our room was broken and would not lock without picking the door up and slamming it closed. We had to stay with the room because it was the only room available for a family. I notified the hotel; they could not repair it. - The restaurant is under renovation

Everything you basically needed (clean room, good service, comfort) for a safe and comfortable trip was provided by the host.

Upon entering the hallway and room, there was a strange odor in the air, probably from cleaning agents or the restaurant's kitchen.

Location was perfect for where I needed to be for work. The facilities were as expected and were fine for what I needed. The restaurant is fantastic and the portions were almost too big.

The breakfast was a little lacking but again did the job for what I needed. Facilities were a little sparse and the lack of air con was noticeable during the hot weather.
