The Retreat was so well equipped and absolutely spotless.

Lovely village location, quiet and private but only a short walk to a great pub for meals. Hosts very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to returning.

All on one floor, so amazing safety wise for kids. Everything is a short drive away, or in the case of the pub a very short walk away. Clearly the owners have put a lot of care and attention into ensuring everything you need is on site. We will be back!

Fabulous location, friendly and helpful owner, clean accommodation with everything we needed, flexible booking allowing for the length of stay we need, fantastic trampoline, convenient bike storage etc etc 😀

The bed mattresses felt a little more sunken, this time. Perhaps they're ready for renewal.

The Retreat is a lovely bungalow set in the host's back garden with its own garden and views over the neighbouring field. Parking for at least 2 cars is available. The property is very comfortable and well provided. It is set in a quiet village a few miles from Hastings where you need to go for shopping etc.

This little bungalow is so wonderful and convenient. We had a toddler with us, and she could happily bumble about with no stairs to worry about. It feels much bigger than it looks in the photos, with one bathroom per bedroom, and the outside space is beautiful. The host made us feel very welcome.

The property had everything we could need, was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean in a stunning location. The hosts were lovely and even provided a couple of welcome gifts including milk which was much appreciated. The pub directly across the road served lovely food. The beds were comfy and the shower nice & powerful. Overall was a fantastic stay.

Stunningly situated, lovely hosts, everything we needed, completely clean, trampoline for our 7-year-old, lovely garden and veranda. Convenient location for beaches, cycling, walking, cafes and visiting my Mother-in-law. Loved the geese and the Marsh Frog choruses. Also, good value for money. We'll definitely be returning.

The air fresheners had quite strong smells, but we could remove those.
