Sixth year there always good experience

It is just blocks away from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and close to Florida City for shopping/dining. It looks a bit outdated that may have a musty smell in the rooms closer to the beach area. The 24 hour open beach area is small but has clear water that you can see crabs and small fishes at night with a flashlight. Plenty of free parking and a standard breakfast included.

Cons:Older hotel, could use some updating, beds were not the most comfortable.
Pros: Beautiful property
Wonderful, friendly attentive staff. Great breakfast each morning, clean, large dining area. Loved the pool and outdoor tiki bar area. Enjoyed seeing all the iguanas on the property and watching the beautiful sunsets from the beach area.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again when in the area.

The hotel was very nice, but what really made our trip excellent was Stephanie at the front desk. We had 2 rooms under 2 separate reservations, I called to ask for our rooms to be close together and she got us next door, with an adjoining door!!
It was a birthday celebration trip for the family and she gave the kids snacks as well as a boat rental as a gift. Friendly, kind and the best representation the hotel could have! We had a great time and will definitely be back!
The rooms were great, but the open shower was sort of messy, water came out of the shower all over the floor.
We had a great time at the beach area and the pool. We borrowed games and they have a good breakfast as well as coffee and tea free all day in the lobby.
Microwave and fridge in the rooms.

This hotel needs room renovations. Several things were not in good working order. Hand lotion was empty. Sliding door was in bad condition.

I wish we hadn't stayed here. While the property and location was nice, we were miserable. The bed was very uncomfortable, and we got up early simply because our backs hurt so much. We regretted opening the mini frig, because it reeked of spoiled food. Our room was clean. The room was heavy with some kind of concentrated cleaning scent. It was so strong that our luggage and clothing adsorbed the smell and we had to wash everything to get rid of the smell.

What’s not to like. This Hampton is on the bay, has a beautiful heated pool, good breakfast, and the rooms are very clean with great amenities. In addition, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We hope to be back.

as just ok. Nothing special. The room felt damp due to the humidity and the air conditioner was a bit loud. The location is quite nice and the staff were super friendly

I love this hotel! Second time staying here. We saw manatees in the bay. Rented kayaks right from the hotel. The room is clean and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and well up kept. The free breakfast is the best continental breakfast I’ve had at any hotel. It has a tiki bar and beach. Very clean hotel.

When we arrived at the property, we walked in the door and immediately smelled overwhelming air freshener that was hard to breathe. I took two pictures of the rust that was at the base of the shower and at the base of the fridge that was leaking.
The floor was soaking wet when we came in and we tracked it through the bathroom and into the bedroom area where it was running into.
The air conditioner was so loud that it woke you up, “Every time”it turned off and on, the sliding door had a little lock on it that felt very unsafe and then in the morning when we woke at 6:30 AM to pounding and banging at the centre of the building, where everybody was leaving for breakfast
The 500CA $ that we paid was the last and will never share your hotel to anyone! Disgrace to tourism.

We were not able to adjust the thermostat in the room - it was either freezing or stuffy. The water pressure in both the sink and shower was so low it was very inconvenient to wash properly. There were not enough towel racks to accommodate even 2 towels in the bathroom. The microwave did not work properly. We did like the small beach on the property.

The Tiki bar and the beachfront were GREAT for watching sunsets. The complimentary breakfast was extensive and delicious. The breakfast dining area was spacious. The accommodations were lovely.

Staff was professional and helpful.
The room had no ventilation in the bathroom. Our room was clean but faced the parking lot. The remote on the tv didn’t work well on the features had to scroll through.
The sliding glass door had a broken lock so maintenance had to try to fix it only 1 lock out of 2 was fixed.
The breakfast was very good.
The grounds and the common area were dated and needed refurbishing.
The beach was private and comfortable.
Good for a quick stay.&

Perfect location if you don’t wish to stay in Key west. Only disappointment was the tiki bar closed at 7pm. Would highly recommend Hobos cafe for a meal

Furniture out dated but clean. Buffet breakfast was great. The tiki bar was a blast.

Have high expectations from Hampton Inns. This facility was old, not refurbished for a long time. so room was smelled damp and moldy, causing me very bad allergies. Bathroom had not been cleaned properly... had to get it done after checking in.

The staff led by Chey are the best in the business. Extremely kind and knowledgeable

The “musty” smell of the room was awful, the paint “bubbling” off the walls in the bathroom wouldn’t happen if the bathroom ventilation fan worked or was cleaned. The staff was AMAZING and mostly why we stayed here. Hard to believe this was a Hilton franchise.

Convenient location, good breakfast, nice sunsets. Our only complaint: our room was damp- even with the air working constantly.

The beach is not great. The room was nice, but the air conditioner made a really loud sound when it kicked on and off. We did not sleep well.

The hotel is on great need of some remodeling. We stayed at Hampton Bay in Marathon and it was so beautiful and amazing. This hotel should work on following their decor and upgrade. The hotel seemed dingy in the hotel room and not very appealing.
The ladies at the desk were polite and nice.
Would consider another place to stay if I ever returned to Key Largo.

The staff at this hotel are exceptional! There was a slight issue with the ceiling fan in our room, they quickly resolved the issue. They took great care to ensure our comfort and made for an enjoyable stay.
