This is an old hotel that has been carefully maintained and is generally kept in very nice condition. Nice lobby area with great seating, 24/7 tea & coffee, cookies and sherry in the afternoon, very friendly staff, convenient-but limited-parking across the street. Great location for Japan Town, pretty close to business areas, but more of a hike to others. Bathrooms updated and nice. Only 2 modest negatives. Breakfast is included, and the breakfast attendant was awesome - but the food selection was somewhat limited. It is kind of at the level of what you would get at a Hampton Inn type hotel. It would have been nice if they had yogurt, granola, and perhaps an egg option other than hard boiled. Selection of breads, waffles, and fruit were fine. The other was the bed was on the soft side, and made one feel like one was tilting a bit. I slept fine, but it could have been better.

This is a lovely hotel, with old fashioned decor and architecture. Rooms are a little dark, bed comfortable with lots of pillows. Furniture is heavy and antique. Bathrooms are clean and well set up. No AC but a fan available in every room. The windows open, and it's San Francisco, you're unlikely to need AC. Nice lobby with tea and coffee available.

Free but limited parking. Beds are as old as the building. Very, very uncomfortable. Unable to regulate temperature in room.

An unfortunate visit as the linens were not very clean, I requested a fresh set after 1st night and on the 2nd night ended up with bed bug bites. I had to check out and am currently going through steps to insure I don’t bring them home.

The place was like a museum. It was in good location. The beds were to soft and charging devices was a challenge. I would stay there for the price, parking and location.

The staff was very friendly which is something I am very grateful for as someone who has severe anxiety. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the amenities were very nice. The view was beautiful and everything was so clean and cozy. This is the only hotel I’ll stay at in San Francisco, can’t wait to go back. <3

Beautiful Victorian house that transports you to the 1800s with its decor of antique artifacts. It's like stepping back in time. The rooms are large, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing stay. I just wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it all.

Great location for the Edwardian Ball.

Absolutely genuine decor, friendly staff, amazing furnishings in an old style luxury hotel. Our room was spacious. The breakfast was nice as well and the dining room has plenty of space. Make time to just enjoy this place. Close walking distance to Japan town for authentic ramen. Note: there is parking in a well lit lot across the street but do not leave anything inside. We were fine, no one had breaking, but be smart.

Enjoyed my stay at The Queen Anne. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is not super fancy but quaint and clean.

I booked the hotel because of the proximity of my scheduled workshop. I did not know that the hotel was haunted until we settled in room 410 and I googled it. The first night at around midnight the mattress moved as if somebody sat down which scared me. Fortunately the heater and the fridge made noises that calmed me down. The next 2 nights were fine. The breakfast was good and delicious cookies and sherry were served in the afternoon. The only other unexplainable thing: both my husband and I swear “The Mary Lake Suite” sign on our door was invisible to us during our 3 day stay. We only saw it later in pictures of the hallway that I took.

the place is incredibly old which is incredibly beautiful. The administration is good but the cleaning is very basic. We were in the living room on the night of 12/31 and a mouse appeared between the furniture. We also realized that the walls and the carpet were very very dirty. I was afraid of finding a mouse on the fourth floor! The included breakfast is basically hot water, tea, coffee and slices of stale bread.

Very enjoyable stay at this historic property (Built 1890). Michael at the front desk was excellent at check in. Other front desk workers were also excellent. Room was comfortable. Breakfast is well done with hard-boiled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, etc. Sherry and cookies in the afternoon!

Always fun to see The Queen Anne at Christmas. Friendly staff in the breakfast room. Just one issue - no recycling container in the room or information on where to place items that can be recycled.

Lovely setting. Room quiet and comfortable bed. Small trouble with cold water handle, but otherwise room was perfect. Used complimentary driver to go out in the city. Will be coming again!

If you want to step back in time, go, stay. DO NOT expect it to be luxurious, expect old timey, expect run down, expect to see rust and dings in furnishings and lumps in the mattress. Comfy, clean, but super old. I enjoyed it, my hubby did not. The info gal at front was very helpful and friendly but the main gal behind the desk, super rude. Parking is a nighmare. Christmas decorating was very beautiful victorian style. Very lovely step back in time.

You are in for a one-of-a-kind treat in this marvelously decorated Victorian-era hotel with sherry at happy hour, a smorgasbord for breakfast, fireplaces, big blanketed beds and a 24/7 front desk.

Lovely Victorian Hotel! Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Internet fast. It’s an ‘old’ style hotel, so no too much modern stuff, but it’s clean and cozy.

The historical uniqueness of Queen Anne...rich furnishings, decor...stepping back into time. Great location! Easy Uber or Lyft pickup. Parking visibly across the street. Cookies and sherry in the afternoon for all guests. Get your waffle fix in the morning with a quick turn. Great hospitality and security measures in place to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable visit.

It was awesome stay. The old fashioned decoration is beautiful.

It is every bit as nostalgic and old as it appears. In the middle of neighborhood (not bad) Not much near by. Was kind of creepy as it was kind of like a scene out of horror movie with it being so old. Front desk person was kind.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Feels like you stepped back in time to a beautiful English hotel. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. No resort fees and insane parking fees like many hotels in San Francisco.

Lovely boutique hotel. It was pretty warm and there is no AC so the room felt a little warm. There was a fan which helped. We have stayed here several times and this was the only time we felt the room was too warm.

Lovely property, rooms very nice. A bit worn in areas, as expected given it’s age and the way Covid impacted the industry. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

The lobby was beautiful, but the room was shabby and not very clean. The bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was terrible. There was no place to put anything in the room or the bathroom except for on the floor.

Beautiful Victorian hotel. Great old world charm.
