Worst motel experience ever. Mattresses are completely shot and belong in dumpsters, pillows are terrible, carpet is stained all over, bathtub doesn't drain properly, dirt and hair in all the corners, smell is awful. On the upside the breakfast is acceptable and the pool isn't too bad. When I asked for new pillows I was told that there were none available.

Property was not clean nor do I feel it was unkept in any type of way.

What an absolutely bad experience and the worst place I have every stayed... the smell was beyond words...

The Smell is horrible

The place was filthy. There were people openly using drugs. There were women soliciting sex. The rooms had black mold. The bed sheets were soiled with bodily fluids. One of the rooms had a door that didn't shut. We left and rebooked at another hotel.

Everything needs repair, outside and inside. Carpet smelled dog pee, there were stains on linens. Towels felt like used. We saw the other reviews and we panicked, we called other hotels but because of St. Patty’s Day, nothing really available in the area we needed to be. Plus we arrived late around 11pm after a 10 hour drive.
Hotel needs to do some serious remodeling, it’s bad as it is. We have used La Quinta before and liked it, but because of this hotel, we will not use La Quinta again.

Could tell this was a old, but re-furbished place. Was obvious there wasn't been much attention put towards details (rust around fittings in tub, bathroom sink loose from wall, dirt on floor, exit lights broken and hanging)

Our particular Hotel had no working ice machines, no working elevators. Room was quite average usually La Quinta's are better than this one. Tub was either dirty or stained with something. Check in was fine no problems there.

Was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Bathroom was gross, plugs loose, trash and beer bottles all over outside. Elevator was broken, which I know is not the hotels fault. But there should have been some kind of compensation for that. Please do not stay here, especially if you are not from New Orleans. This type of place is the reason New Orleans gets a bad reputation. We have stayed at la Quintas elsewhere and nothing like this. There was also a police officer there when we got there because someone's room had been robbed. He said it was because their room was left unlocked.

Our bed sheets and towels had stains and were not clean. Very run down but service was really good!

Terrible service and maintenance no ice, machine was broken no coffee available in the office to take back to your room. Poorly trained personnel of the guests for service and lack of concern of comfort for guests badly maintained lack of even basic maintenance. This hotel was barely a two star and was represented to be higher than that

The smell was horrific i thought i was gonna die it smelled like there was 10 dogs living in the room smoking cigarettes. The staff was not friendly

The hotel was extremely rundown and very dirty. The sheets in our bed had hair and lint. The sheets in the sofa bed had stains. That entire hotel needs to be overalled and needs to hire a different housekeeper.
That being said, Jasmine who worked at the reception was working all by herself and went out of her way to find clean sheets for my kids and me. She had to put up with an incident involving the police, upset customers and then my linen issues, and handled it all with such grace. You have an invaluable employee which I hope you remember to recognize. But please do something about the hotel itself.
We won't ever go back there, simply because it absolutely isn't at the standard we are used to seeing in LaQuinta hotels.
Also our hotel room is advertised as sleeping 5 people but there only were on king size bed and one sofa bed. The room could only handle 4 people to the most.

The people there were so nice. The hotel was beyond filthy to where it was a permanent filth. It needs to be overhauled PDQ! The light fixture had a short in it in our room we had to unscrew the bulb to where the light would stop flickering. The second floor carpet oh my word that was bad. It’s not the employees fault it’s the hotels because you can only do so much. We had to change room keys three times because the door didn’t want to work.

Outlets didn’t work microwave, or refrigerator didn’t work Very dirty and Nasty outside of the rooms..

Sheets on one of beds hadn’t been changed from previous guests. Stains on sheets, covers and mattresses and box springs. Water still on floor from previous guests in bathroom. Bathroom light went out within a few hours of being in room however maintenance came same day as we reported it. Walls have been painted recently (over mold in bathroom) however rest of furniture needs updating.

The only positive about this place was the front desk girl. The bed and linens had stains, the smoke detector make noise all night, tried to shower and bugs ran out of the drain, half the bathroom door was missing from water damage.

Elevator isn’t working, room smells upon entering the room, some lamps doesn’t work, barely had outlets.

2 to 2 and a half star. Adequate. Some highway noise in the area. Rooms need a luggage rack. Bed is good as is the TV. Fridge and microwave in room is nice. Older property. For us it is not a long term stay property but for 1 or 2 nights it will do . Gas station is 2 minute walk away and Denny’s is right next door. McDonald’s is 6 minute walk away along with some assorted bars and nightclubs. Only 6 hangers in the closet. There is an ironing board and iron. There are 4 big drawers to put away your clothes if need be below the TV. Shower is finicky as you have to adjust the hot and cold water with separate faucets. Pool is good but subject to highway noise. Breakfast was decent but get there early. Breakfast hours are from 6-9 am.

Checked in, went to our room where the lock on the door did not work & the door jam was loose.
15 minutes into being in the room, cockroaches ran across our nightstand, multiple.
We left.
We weren’t going to chance them crawling across our faces in the middle of the night or moving to another room.
Disgusting.

Even after booking suite, room was not clean and smelling terrible. Not recommended.

The staff was friendly and fast. The room smelled. There was a roach in the sink and one in the shower when I went to take a morning shower. Needless to say I didn’t take that shower. The bed was really comfortable.

Good Location.
Date of departure time, could not open the door with the card. we were on the second floor. No elevators working. I have a balance problem.
Ice machines,Elevators were not workingBreakfast area rest room were not working. My wife had an emergency situation with need to go to use toilet. I mentioned that to desk clerk and asked if she can use rest room for stuff. She said no. Mind you that this was not a normal situation. Nuway I was disappointed. I expected better from a reputable hotel chain of LaQuinta..

For the money this is a great place. Clean and comfortable. The room and fixtures are somewhat dated, but functional. Very easy parking, right next to the room. Coffee and simple breakfast items in the morning. The surrounding area is full of dining and shopping places. Easy 15 mins drive to New Orleans downtown.

Not good at all. First sign was checking in watching front desk argue with another guest already staying there. Poor fellas door wasn’t working all his stuff inside and she could absolutely care less. Can’t do attitude. Vagrants all over. Unsafe area. We had been on the road 13 hours and we’re traveling with a dog we didn’t have a choice about staying. The suite we booked for 140, almost 160 after taxes, for one night was located behind the office. You were led to it be the most filthiest carpet I have ever seen in an establishment. They have never cleaned it. Ever. The stench of cigarette smoke permeated the entire floor, but it seemed like some had smoked a carton in our suite. No way to get that out. The covers were filthy we removed them and slept on top of the sheets which I believe were clean. The suite layout was spacious is about the best thing I can say about this stay. We were up and out by daylight. My husband attempted to get cereal from the breakfast, but found the milk to be chunky with ice. I went to checkout and was told to leave my key in the box sitting in front of the desk clerk she couldn’t be bothered. Definitely no ask about how the stay was. Close it down it’s old and tired and not a soul there cares about the property or the guests. Shame on you.

This hotel is a disgrace. Most of the staff was unfriendly, the bathrooms were moldy and the outside was strewn with debris.
