The people at this hotel are so friendly and welcoming, it is a joy to come here. I was disappointed the pool wasn't available, but still it is a great location. The chocolate on check out was a wonderful treat.

I asked 3 times to check A/C. Had it at its lowest setting but room would not cool. Put the fan on high speed and it made a terrible racket. The only thing I was able to determine was they turned the fan on low to stop the racket. Room was always hot. When I called at 5 pm they sent me a fan. Am I glad I am out of there.
I stopped by conceige desk one morning and waited 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. When I asked about hop on, hop off bus tickets they told me just a minute. After about at 5 minutes I was told to come back later as he was out to lunch.

Lovely welcome by reception staff, had call to request walk in shower after an accident and was given a fully accessible room which was great. Great breakfast and again very welcoming staff each day. Hotel very good for Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Park

Good location but very small room , dont even have a space to open the luggage in full. You can only open the luggage halfway but the location is good and close to everything.

Paid extra for a “premium” room which is usually larger and comes with complimentary water, etc… from previous experience. No such luck on this occasion and the same can be said for hot water from the bathroom sink. I understand that the changing rooms for the gym/pool are under renovation, but they have been for some time now and none of the lockers have locks so you leave your valuables at your own risk…where else are you meant to leave them?!

Dirty hotelroom! We even found A piece of glass in the bathroom. Bad aircondition. We ordered a kingsize bed and got a 140cm bed. I would not recomend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I wanted a relaxing afternoon hence we decided to book a room for an overnight gateway.
I must say we received a very warm welcome from the staff at the reception.
I am disappointed though because we went mainly for the wellness centre but the swimming pool was full of kids diving and screaming, the hot tub wasn’t working, the steam room was smelly and we didn’t had the courage to get in.
The room was ok, facing an old building but the bathroom sink is ridiculously small.
Breakfast buffet had many choices with cold and hot food, drinks and coffee, I’d say 9/10.
Did not really get what we went for.
Did not leave feeling refreshed.

The kettle is very dirty. We stayed on 5/F and it was very noise cos nearby the road and hotel entrance.

The hotel is looking quite tired. The gym had work going on next to it, lots of used cups lying around and no bin, and floor tiles missing. The room was showing its age, mattress very uncomfortable, and the tv wouldn’t angle properly towards the bed. My room overlooked the goods/ car park entrance so was very noisy, and although I had booked a king room the best was suspiciously double sized.

We always enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Kensington, a warm welcome and high standards throughout the hotel. The hotel is also well located for shopping, sightseeing and the underground station is just 2 mins away.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington and overall it was a nice stay. The hotel is good, the pool warm (my 2 year old daughter enjoyed it) and everyone is friendly. But one thing stood out - it was raining all day (and night long) and my daughter woke up way too early. With nothing to do we went to Starbucks, which is IN the hotel and met Ali. He was our sunshine!!! I enjoyed every conversation, he was so sweet to my daughter and he has the purest heart! He seriously has been our HIGHLIGHT of our London vacation. People are what matters and Ali is a gem! Thank you so so much! We hope to see you again, Julia (Emmy & Henni)

First I checked into a standard room and it was in a very bad condition, no heat in room and eletrick not working, so a lovely lady called Misha found me another room in perfect condition so my stay the rest of my days went very well. Thanks to Misha.

My allocated accessible room had a faulty air conditioner which meant it was freezing. I was told that I had to move rooms. I advised that my friend who supports me will help me move and we agreed I would inform the reception desk when ready. I did so at 22:10. I was told a key would be brought up soon. Minutes later, I rang again and was told “2 minutes” and again and was told “immediately”. After 45 minutes of waiting for a key to my new room (after 10 o’clock at night) I went down myself to collect the key. Ludicrous it should take that long to bring a key up to a room. I also asked why a defective room was allocated in the first place. Maintenance were able to find that my air con system was defective very quickly. In this case, why was this not checked beforehand and subsequently put out of service. Further, at breakfast, the wheelchair lift from reception to lower lobby was out of service meaning we had to go outside just to breakfast. I gathered the lift is prone to faults - why is not replaced then? It was such a chore being at this hotel and is not worth my voucher redemption from Hotels.com. I will not be back.

A large, sprawling hotel with huge ground floor area with meeting rooms, dining room, bar, coffee shop and plenty of room to socialise. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Didn't manage to use the pool or gym sadly. Just need to work on eco credentials - choice not to wash towels or cleaning rooms may lower emissions, but also saves the hotel time, effort and costs. Highlight and focus on other aspects and show how they are part of plans for Net Zero!

It was great- so lovely to have such a large foyer area with lots of comfortable sofas a coffee shop and a bar and restaurant. The pool wreception staff were not that friendly. My son was so excited to swim but reception staff did not look after us or talk to us, more interested in talking to each other.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Great breakfast and good service

Our welcome was good the reception area and restaurant and bar were pleasant. The room was compact and clean. The sliding bathroom door had no guide rail so felt very wobbly and perhaps unsafe. Despite appearing fairly up to date there are no usb ports in the sockets and I don’t think the fridge worked at all. We had to spend a long time queuing for the pool. The pool and changing areas are in desperate need of renovation, there were also dirty towels everywhere.

Sofar is excellent. The amenities are great-but for me it the staff that makes the difference.
Adil at concierge, Mishi at the front desk, Newton at the bar and Ali at Starbucks-literally can’t say enough about them.

The stay was incredible, we were very well received.
The room and all the hotel's facilities are very well organized and beautiful.
But I wanted to thank the worker at Starbuck, Ali, he was incredible with us and made our first experience in this city incredible.
We intend to return because we know we will be well received.

Disappointing stay this time and won’t be booking again. Room allocated was a shoe-box and the bathroom tiny. With luggage it was impossible to move. After requesting an alternative we were able to upgrade but had to pay another 25% of each nightly cost to do so (we had hoped having been a regular visitor to the hotel, it might be complimentary but sadly not). On the 2nd night there seemed to be some sort of construction happening above our room, which went on literally all night so very little sleep. Had a couple of drinks in the bar and service was good. Clean room, decent location and good for Royal Albert Hall. The hotel is tired and there are better places to stay for similar money nearby so this will be our last visit.

Having the pool makes it. However the room had a broken window catch and the air conditioning would not blow hot.

Common areas look high end but standard rooms are definitely no-frills.
There are also none of the usual things in the bathroom so don't forget your toothpaste.
Take your own robes/slippers for the pool as they're not provided unless you book a spa treatment. The day we went the hotel didn't receive their laundry of towels so there weren't even any towels available for the pool.
We rang ahead about the parking and, whilst it advertises parking, its expensive and on a first come first serve basis. There are much cheaper ones in the area so shop around.
Breakfast was good though and the beds comfortable.
All in all it's adequate if you're not expecting more from the website photos of the reception and common areas (which are nice). Just about manages to be value for money for the area.

There was no water bottle in the room.
No proper shampoo and soap in washroom.
