Brought my kids for a little fun at the water park over vacation week. They loved the water park. The room however was horrible. One of the two queen beds was two mattresses stacked on top of each other and so lumpy you could see a 4” difference from the head area to the foot area. When o called the front desk to have them swap up to another room they said it was fully booked and could do nothing about it. Left with my young kids after dark to get dinner in the resultant inside the hotel and due to construction hallways are closed and no lighting. It made us go outside into and unlit courtyard to get from the room to the front desk area. Felt horribly unsafe. When walking down our section hallway every other ceiling tile was missing and wires were a mess above. Would not recommend at all until after margarita ville takes over.

This hotel is not ADA-compliant, making it illegal to be open to the public. Rooms, restaurants, water park on different floors with no elevator access. Each time I asked the staff where the elevator was, they all replied that there was no elevator. I am a disabled individual, traveling with my infant grandchild and struggled to use the most basic of use.

This is a little dated indoor water park, but still a good for family fun. The water park itself needs renovation and I know that they are working on that. My biggest annoyance was that the water park itself wasn’t part of the stay. It’s a lot of money renting a suite for 2 nights and then you have to pay $60 (5 of us) person per day.

We had a good time, and it is definetely a good bang for the buck. We were 0leased with everything. I think the resort is in a middle of a renovation so some aspects are not up to par but we loved it.

We enjoy the cape codder and are excited to see how it’s like when the renovations are done… water park looks great with new paint only complaint is one night the hot tub wasn’t hot but they got it working.. only complaint really was the beds were not comfortable in my room I’ve been in other rooms where the beds were good but this time out bed sunk so hopefully new beds get put in with the renovation. My little one loves this hotel so yes I will be back over all day

The rooms were very dated. The TV was small, as was the bathroom. The water park only had certain parts open at a time, likely due to lifeguard staffing issues. The concessions by the pool were not open at all. Housekeeping came in while we were still sleeping (around 9) when checkout wasn't until 11. Not bad, but not great. They have a lot of work to do if they want it to be a Margaritaville. Check in staff was lovely.

They didn’t have the room I reserved and paid for, and then gave me a downgrade while also checking me into a room that had people already in it that I walked in on. Humiliating! I stepped on glass in wave pool area. To end our evening we had people slamming on our door at midnight, when I called down I was told security would “be right up” and they never came. 0/10 will not be going back and I deserved a FULL refund.

Definitely liked the room it was spacious and had all of the amenities you would expect plus some and it had two bathrooms so that's always good with a large family. What I didn't like however is that when you book with something like expedia.com or say another type of booking third party, you're told a different amount than when you get there and the amount you actually end up paying is higher for the resort fee and incidentals costs. Regardless of the fact if you get most of that back as far as the incidentals they need to get on the ball with making sure that their third party booking companies have the correct information because let's just say you were getting multiple rooms and you were unaware that it was going to be anything more than you planned for you might not even have that in your debit card or you know you might have to use a credit card that you didn't intend to use it's just misleading. That needs to be fixed.

Half the pool was closed so another half could be opened. We paid full price and only got to experience half the fun. Pretty disappointing. Also seemed like they were way way under staffed.

We had a wonderful time. The kids had a blast as well as the adults. Very relaxed after our weekend will be doing it again often. Thank you

Great for short visits, the water park was severely understaffed and only allowed a couple areas to be open at a time. The restaurant had good dinner service but poor breakfast service. Rooms are very outdated, electrical outlets were hit and miss for working ones.

We had a terrible time. The place wasn’t clean, wasn’t staffed, under construction, long wait times, dirty rooms. It needs to close for a month or so to get all of the things addressed.

Booked a room for son’s 4th Birthday (Never again!) was supposed to be a double queen bed with water park view so we could be close to water on the 1st floor seeing both my kids have special needs/disabilities and instead we got a king size room with one cot to accommodate two kids on the second floor on the other side from the water park smh…. Upon arrival No Wi-Fi … the rooms wall paper is peeling and bubbled up no microwave for me to heat my kids food up again had to walk to the business center to use microwave…Shower water is Luke warm just sad!!!! … not to mention the hall ways are freezing ..due to them being short staffed if the lazy river is open then the wave pool/jacuzzi is closed …when we first arrived everything was closed beside the kiddie area which my children are 2 & 4 is the only area they can be without me holding them all the older kids were running around trampling over the littles just ridiculous if you ask me NOT ONE lifeguard said anything to the older kids …it gets better….as soon as we got into the kiddie area the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate. And they had NO CLEAN TOWELS both Ice machines didn’t dispense ice …Needless to say I won’t be a returning customer or recommend coming here don’t waste your time

Came for my sons 9th birthday & Lights flickering while in water park they shut down lazy river and wave pool for hours and then fire alarm went off not to mention there was no hot water while I tried to bathe my 3 children . The rooms are out dated . Very disappointed and feel was a waste of my money .

The hotel is tired old and not well run. I never give bad reviews but this deserves special attention. The water park that was the whole reason we went was only partially open since they didn’t have enough staff to keep the slides open. Mostly we were only able to splash around the lazy river. Also the fire alarm went off THREE times! For my 6 year old kid this was probably the worst I have ever seen he as he kept thinking he and his brother were going to burn (even though I told him it wasn’t a real alarm) . I plan to complain to the hotel too but wanted to also spread the word here. We will never go back.

Very sad to say after 20 years of stays at the CC its completely broken down from the front desk to the rooms.

When i was checking in i was told that there were extra resort fees on top of the cost of the room. I was very upset and ended up having to cancel the reservation. I booked through Expedia and am still waiting for a cancelation email. Very upset.

We (hubby & I) went to the CapeCodder Resort for a 3 night mid week getaway in the winter. had a Blast!! There was a problem with the ice maker closest to our room. I notified the front desk. the next day it was fixed!! We had so much fun in the water park! From the lazy river, fun slides, wave pool to the hot tub we tried it all!! I was impressed with the lifeguards. Each took their job seriously but still allowed for fun!! We were able to enjoy a cocktail there as well that we brought from our room & restaurant. Speaking of The Hearth & Kettle Restaurant(inhotel) WOW!! Outstanding!Fantastic!Great food! But it’s special people who work there that make it so! Jon leads this Amazing group! Molly, Dave, Jon& Elizabeth were our servers during the week. Going in it was like seeing old friends! When I say they went above & beyond those aren’t just words. We had been looking for steamers (clams) for 2 days driving to places that were open online & closed when we got. Explaining this to Jon & Dave they started calling places all over the cape. To No avail. They were not to b found. Disappointed - We ordered our food. To our surprise & delight! Leading the charge when it arrived was a plate of piping hot steamers! They went to a store across the street & bought clams! Cooking them for us! They were Delicious! We’re already looking at our calendar to come back & they add to the reason!!! We appreciate all they did to make our stay at the CapeCodder a memorable one! Thank you so much

I was extremely disappointed I stayed at this hotel so my son could enjoy his birthday and it was awful. First I take him down to the waterpark and more than half of the water activities are closed due to not enough staff. They are also doing major renovations that we were not made aware of so most of the hotel was unusable. The final straw was when a fire alarm was set off sending me and my kids in the cold with our bathing suits and we were unable to use the remainder of our time that I paid for. I am extremely unhappy and want a refund. This is not okay!

The waterpark was great but the mamanger life guard was very hostile and aggresive towards all the little kids and the parents. He closed the kiddie side with about 20 kids in it including mine, which made her cry . Plenty of lifeguards to have all 3 parts open, its a kids waterpark , the little kid section should always be open . We spent a lot of money to be here for us to be kicked out of the kiddie side 4 times this weekend . Very unacceptable. Other than that the place was awesome

New Year’s trip with Grandkid.. disappointed to learn when we arrived at the outdoor pool was not accessible it was closed because half of the hotel is being renovated. We were not told that.. looks like they are putting money into the property and it is greatly needed. The mattress in our room is on its last leg felt like it was caving in and the hairdryer kept shutting off both need to be replaced was told at the front desk that will be happening.

I liked the thought of an establishment where there would be a large enough room for 2 adults and 5 children and a water park in the premises. The check in was horrific even at 3pm. It consisted of a very very long line of guests and 1 employee at the desk. The guest room was large enough to accomodate all of us and was pleasantly surprised with 2 bathrooms. But the Hearth & Kettle (on site restaurant) was obviously understaffed as we sat for quite sometime waiting for waters and our food. I assume because our room was so close to the pool that that would account for the strong chlorine smell. I also did not appreciate having to walk through the housekeeping and laundry area to get any where in the establishment. The children want to return, as they enjoyed the water park.

Half the facilities were not open yet you pay full price. No hot water the entire stay. They are so short staffed so it's not they're fault but not worth the price of admission for the whole experience.

As it is a somewhat expensive hotel, I found the environment quite dirty.

Starting from my check-in there was nothing but a problem. I paid for the early check-in for 12pm, when I showed they said they never received my request despite my conformation. I was told to come back at 1pm to gain access to the waterpark while I waited for my room. I came back and waited in line for about an hour because of the short staffing. They then said my room should be ready by 3pm. 4pm came and I still did not get a text saying my room was ready. I went back to the front and waited in line for over an hour to get a room key. The bathooms in the water park were dirty and run down. The lockers were not working so we had to find a table to put our valuables down. The first night they closed the lazy river due to short staffing. The next morning they had the entire waterpark closed all the way till my check out time. When checking out, the only thing they would reimburse was a $34 resort fee for the waterpark. Despite the website saying four park passes were included in the price of the room they added the $34 at check-in.

I have brought my grandkids to The Cape Codder for the Christmas display for many years. When we arrived there this time, there were two planters at the front door with dead mums and rotten pumpkins. When I checked in, the person at the front desk told me there would be no Christmas displays or Santa this year. This and the water park were the reason we go. The water park was on a limited schedule as well due to staffing—another disappointment.
I feel I should have been notified of all this before we made this trip. I certainly would have cancelled.

Very very outdated. I see renovations are starting 2024 so that will be fixed (I assume) the rooms are just beat up and old, the water park is in real need of an update also. Just feels so rundown. Looking forward to the changes hopefully coming 2024
