Simsbury is a lovely property, in a nice location. Staff is great, plenty of nice touches.
Our little party put them to the test. We had asked for one room with a couch; didn't get it, but they made it right. One 90+ yr old in our party thought the cookies came every day; they made her happy. We switched credit cards at check-out. The succotash became a favorite side dish (don't miss it!); the chef substituted it for fries (upcharge, but def worth it!).
Breakfast food was great; pastries above the norm.
The jacuzzi was hot - not the tepid "meh" you find other places. Pool lovely, well maintained, nice towels. I noticed one extra towel on the chair closest to pool stairs. JUST IN CASE you forgot to get one as you went into the pool, one was waiting for you as you got out. How thoughtful is that?
I selected this as a destination property for a family road trip. From the description and photos, I had high expectations. They were met and exceeded.
Minor note: if anyone in your party needs a grab bar for the shower, ask for an accessible room.

My husband and I booked a stay here for a night of relaxation away from the responsibilities of home. And we didn’t get it. The room they placed us in was closeby to a very loud party. There was screaming and yelling and kids running all over the place. We called down to the front desk to ask to be moved but were placed on hold indefinitely. Finally, we left at 10pm because it was so uncomfortable. The next day I checked my account and realized they doubled charged me. I called the hotel and I was told they have no idea how this mistake happened but that I would have to wait for the manager to come in to refund it. I still have not been refunded. I would not do business with this establishment again.

It was my first time in the area and it was a pleasant surprise to stay at such wonderful Inn. The room was quinte, clean and charming. Coffee and tea was available at all times in the lovely lounge.

We stayed for my wife's birthday. The appearance and decor was amazing. Our room was beautiful and comfy. The staff were awesome and friendly. We pre dinner drink at the bar and the bartenders we super nice. We ate dinner at Twiggs lounge and the food was service was spectacular.
On Sunday we stayed for the Sunday brunch. The menu was over the top amazing and very delicious. The staff was again the best. My wife and i will definitely make the 2 hour drive and stay again.

We've stayed at the Simsbury in many times, usually during the warmer months. Always wanted to see the inn decorated at Christmas. It was absolutely beautiful. So classy and festive. We have never had any issues during any of our stays. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. We always receive a warm welcome. Hotel very clean. As usual, we highly recommend!

Our bathtub had 8 hairs in it, it was disgusting. It was clear the cleaning was inadequate.
There was a storm and the hotel lost power so we had no lights or heat in our room for a few hours. It was uncomfortable.

This historic hotel is not just charming, it also has plenty of amenities. Our crew loved that breakfast started up early each morning with grab and go or sit down options. The rooms are large and nicely appointed, and it was wonderful having a pool, sauna, and hot tub available after a long hike.

Loved the 4 poster bed, thick towels, chocolate chip cookies, 24-hour coffee. Just a lot of small nice perks. Oh, and the vanity kit. Breakfast was good and a lot of options.

It is very comfortable! It’s a little outdated in the pool area, but the property as a whole is quaint. Also, there is a smell of air freshener or candles that is heavy but only in the check-in area

While trying to reserve a room, the receptionist put me on hold. After 18 minutes, I gave up and reserved through Orbitz. The hotel sent me a long questionnaire which they said had to be filled out. I did fill it out, but when we came to check in, they did not have the info in the system. So, check-in was very wasteful of time.

The Simsbury Inn is colonial, but it's sort of stuck in the 80's with the heating and a/c system. Also, the mini fridge and coffee pot were in the bathroom.

This property is in serious need of an upddate. Multiple areas are showing wear and tear and neglect. Poor value for what I was charged for my stay.

My husband and I love the Simsbury Inn. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. A beautiful property with lots of amenities. Great food in Twigs Restaurant and a fabulous Continental Breakfast every morning. Whether you're looking for activities or just a relaxing atmosphere to kick back, I highly recommend the Simsbury Inn.

Abysmal floppy pillows that translated to poor sleep.
Toilet paper was the roughest tissue gift wrapping paper. I’ll never understand the point of eco tp and paper straws. Why am I suffering for the people of China, India, and Africa that contribute more than 3/4’s of the world’s pollution?
Struggled to find anything remotely tasty at the continental breakfast. Get firm pillows, soft toilet paper, and a partially hot breakfast, or else look elsewhere in the area.

Love the Simsbury only one complaint the shower needs to be un clogged that was disappointing. Other than that I love staying here. Have quit a few times and hope to again. Simsbury is absolutely beautiful and love the feel of the hotel. Front desk is very helpful and nice.
