We were expecting a relaxing evening but didn't get that. There was a large dance competition the same weekend and the hotel was overrun with young children...long wait for the elevators, long line for coffee, messy lobby, overrun pool area...not fun.

The hotel was great. Nice and comfortable. As always, I knock a star off for resort fees and high parking fees, IMO that should be included items.

Room very dark, lack of over head lighting and low watt bulbs. Shower did not have a curtain, only partly glass enclosed, lots of water sprays on floor and hard to adjust temp without being in the shower. Only on chair in the room at the desk

The design and presumptive price point of this hotel is frankly ridiculous. The practice of adding 'destination fee' as a hidden charge is despicable. They bait-and-switched on pet fee and pets allowed, then overcharged anyway. The idea of charging for parking in this area is crazy. The layout of the hotel is awkward and not secure - there are multiple unsecured ways to get into the hotel day or night. There was evidence of illegal drug use in semi-public areas. There is an unfinished and unsecured building as part of the hotel complex. I will be looking for another place to stay in the future.

I normally don’t post reviews but my stay is not pleasant at all. We stayed near the elevator and I didn’t sleep very well. I can hear every time it moves. It’s just a hassle to move stuff with 2 kids that’s why I didn’t bother to ask to be moved.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla was really great. The front desk was really nice and welcoming when we checked it. We were on the 10th floor which offered some nice views. The room itself was pretty spacious and clean. The dressers are a must whenever I'm in a hotel. The bathroom countertop held a lot of our toiletries and accessories. The 2 queen beds for our family of 4 was just right and we all enjoyed a good night's sleep. The facility had some nice amenities. My husband and I enjoyed hangout by the fire pit at night. Their swimming pool area is also nice. Next time, I'll make sure to bring my tennis gear so I can try out their courts. The hotel itself is pretty central to where we need to be. It's right across UCSD and it's close to a lot of nice restaurants and places to eat. This place is also close to the beaches in the La Jolla area. I highly recommend this place.

Everything was easy, from check in to grabbing a bite to eat down at the bar area. There is plenty of street parking as well if you don’t want to pay for the costly valet service.

Good hotel. On arrival we realized the price had dropped by $100 from what we booked for. Our request to adjust the rate was denied because it was booked using Hotels.com

We had to leave unexpectedly due to an emergency at home, and front desk was very sweet and helpful. We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so.

The atmosphere is amazing. I loved going out each night and sitting by the fire. There was several areas for you to sit. The pool area is amazing as well. I will definitely be staying here again. Best hotel that I’ve stayed at in a long time. Housekeeping was excellent. Definitely a must stay.

Need an improvement on room decor,carpets are frayed on edges and very modest on toiletries,also,not enough power outlets in room,have to move the coffee maker and iron and ironing boards need to be moved all the way to back window

Hello - I am staying here because of an emergency situation. The staff has been fabulous and the hotel is fabulous. The only thing would add is more of a discount for situations like this. We came for my son’s wedding and my 87 yo mom ended up in the hospital and I’m having to stay here instead of going home. At over $200 a day this is getting expensive.
