Check in starts at 4, but your room isnt guaranteed to be clean until 6pm. We werent able to check in until nearly 6pm. This isnt something that is shown on the hotels.com site, so please be aware. But the resort was great and we enjoyed our stay.

One of my favorite resorts. The rooms are nice and spacious and comfortable. I always enjoy staying here. It is even better in the snow with the fireplace going. The front desk staff are friendly and I love that they have a texting option. It is nice and rustic with modern touches.

Our room had a beautiful view and a small gas fireplace. We loved the room. Know that, somewhere in the fine print, it says the resort will charge a certain percentage as a resort fee. We were not aware of this. For 3 nights, that charge was close to $90 for our two bed room.

After visiting for the last two decades I can honestly say the current standards have fallen dramatically. Upon arrival we noticed our room required cleaning. We found hair in the bathroom, a pacifier under the TV console and a gap between the door and the jam wide enough that we could see out. We attempted to contact management and were promised a call back that never came. If they had responded to our concerns they would have been informed that a member of the staff was locking the hot tub area at 8 pm instead of the posted 10 pm. Because of this experience I CAN NOT recommend Sunriver Resort any longer.

The room was very small and there was only one chair that we could not move out of its cubby. There was a huge TV, but not much room to use. This was very expensive and not a great place to unwind.

We really enjoyed our stay, and wish we would have booked more nights. First time at the resort, and it feels like a proper resort. It's expansive, lots of bike trails and activities. Great amenities such as a pool, gym, bike and kayak rental, etc. Even a lot of stuff to do for the kids with minigolf, bouncy castles, various rides, bumper cars, and so on. Most importantly very relaxing and peaceful! Food tastes good, but once in a blue moon there are minor problems with the order or service. I think they're a bit short staffed over there, but overall not a major issue.

Amazing getaway if you have small children - you can do plenty of activities like cycling, swimming in the pool etc.. The golf course looks huge. Staff is warm and welcoming and the rooms were very clean & quite luxurious. Only drawback is food - bit expensive and not worth it but I wouldn’t hold off for that. Definitely coming back!

We cancelled it weeks ahead and did not get a refund even though the contract says we should have received all but one night refunded and we have travel insurance. Have contacted them many times as well as Expedia. Nothing has been done to resolve it.

We loved the cozy room with an amazing view of mountains. The restaurants were amazing. Didnt get to enjoy the pool since there were way too many kids all day but we did get to enjoy the hot tub by our room in the evening.

I liked the suite, very clean and nice with kitchenette, staff was friendly. Didn’t like: I’ve never checked in at a hotel before where my 4 pm check in is actually a 4-6pm check in, be more considerate and accommodative of your guests, we traveled a long way to get there and were hungry and tired, wanted to get cleaned up and eat but were told our room wasn’t ready at our check in time which I had down as 4pm. We ended up eating in the parking lot and waiting over an hr in the parking lot to receive a text then have to go back into the lobby to check in. What a process… Not expected for a resort like Sunriver. This was our first time there. My husband and I love taking walks at night but the area was not well lit at all, a lot of areas were pitch black dark. We never got to enjoy the hot tub across from our suite. The hours are horrible, only from 10-10, with check out at 11am, doesn’t give time to get in there. And our delayed check in, only gave us enough time to take the kids to swim at the cove, settle into our room and then figure out where to find dinner. Would’ve loved to wake up and get in the hot tub around 7-8am for some relaxation before starting the day…
