After hours on the road, it was very refreshing to spend the evening in such a lovely inn. The room was comfortable and the history contained within was inspiring. A lovely dining room provides delicious dinner and breakfast options.

Boone's is a huge white beacon in the center of a busy college town. Painters were working 2 stories up when we arrived so maintenance is important to the owners. The antiques used in the building are beautiful but the atmosphere was stuffy. Even though college kids work at the hotel and in the dining room, the feel of the "tavern" was anything but relaxed.
The double bed that I slept in seemed to sag on the aisle side. The TV was difficult to use- I had to get Joshua from the desk to come to fix it and show us how to use the directory. I wouldn't choose to stay here again. It's too formal for my liking.

Absolutely loved this hotel and the history of the area and hotel! The restaurant and coffee house in it are excellent. It reminded me of the titanic as far as the woodwork and style. Loved that our room had a ceiling fan. We will definitely return to this hotel when driving south again

Always clean, comfortable and quiet. Shower is top notch and the adjoining restaurant is the biggest reason I book here when I’m in the Lexington/Richmond area.

I liked thàt the college runs this facility and that it is right here at the college. This is the old part of the town so it doesn’t have a lot of restaurants ya but what is around is good.

Very nice hotel. Clean, friendly, cosy. A nice fireplace in lobby, a portrait of a young Lincoln above the fire place with other colorful paintings scattered about.

We totally enjoyed our stay last weekend. The hotel was decorated tastefully for the holiday; the staff was accommodating and pleasant and our room meet our needs. We even had a Christmas tree in our room! The city was also decorated and festive. We plan to return during the summer months.

It’s a charming historic building and the location is lovely. That being said, it is in major need of a renovation. The bathrooms are falling apart. The grout in the bathroom is moldy and the sink nearly came off the wall when I leaned over it. I left in the morning and saw someone had left their room service tray outside. It was still there… two days later! The staff is unfriendly, apathetic and unprofessional- they just don’t care. If you do decide to stay there, bring slippers. The carpets are sticky and left my feet black. Honestly, they need to do better. It’s a real shame. And yes- I’ve stayed there on more than one occasion. And yes, so have my friends and family. Consistently disappointing, but as it’s one of only a few options in town, you don’t have much choice except this overpriced hotel.

Make your dinner reservation even if they tell you you don't need to! We walked up around 7 for dinner and were told that they couldn't seat us. The front desk had told us not to worry about making a reservation! Luckily they created a table in the cafe.

I am here for a quick overnight. Perhaps an extra night would have been fun as there are a couple shops and the restaurant seems excellent. I did order room service dessert and decaf coffee upon arrival, as I had already supped. The decaf was exceptional and steamy. Bread pudding was tasty too. Could not eat entire serving. Plenty of coffee for two and glass mugs in room to share a cup with travel companion. Quick response to every request. Thanks be to God.

Perfect stop on our way to Michigan from Georgia. Good food in the historic dining room! Beautiful accommodations!

This place exudes charm. Past that, it's clean and comfortable and a bit pedestrian, but a great value for the price. Just don't make the same mistake we did and eat at the very, very, very expensive restaurant on site.

The stay was decent and we tend to put up with the funkiness because we like the area. The hotel went through some changes and the price doubled or tripled and we stopped going there. The price dropped again, and we made another venture and got a two bed single room. We found that the beds are so bad that you cannot sleep comfortably with two in one bed! However, this time, these were the worst beds we have had and even sleeping solo in a double was tough. Also, the AC was a bit mixed and the room was very stuffy upon arrival. There are no fans in the bath which likely leads to some of this. We do like the area, and the folks we have run into are always friendly. We just like the old hotel, but not at the ridiculous prices of $250 or more. We got our room for about $95 I think, which makes it a reasonable value. Also, the fridge was not working well, and some of the outlets were blown. Was able to work around it, but some may not. Will likely stay again, but only when prices are decent. 3.5 stars is likely appropriate.

I was very disappointed with my room. I paid for a queen and got a double bed. Dump trucks kept going by all night long. The tv remote was complicated. No tavern food.
