Room was large with fridge, sink and stove. There was lots of storage/closet space. Shower was hot with a good flow. We had difficulty working the heat/AC remote so room was a bit chilly but nothing bithersome enough to call front desk.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely outstanding! Property and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and I had a lovely view of the lake. The staff was amazing with all good vibes! Food in the dining room was fantastic with beautiful ambiance. My only suggestion is better bedding especially a big poofy comforter.

Lovely property which was formerly a monestary. Wonderful view of the lake, nice dining room on the premises and close to downtown Geneva.

Everything around this place is completely magical. The staff were amazing… Flights of wine tasting, and a delicious dinner at the bar after a long drive. Woke up and had coffee on the edge of the lake from 75 feet up. The bed was comfortable the hotel was quiet would do again might in fact move there.

The “brand new” mattresses, as we were told by the front desk, are hard as a rock. The pristine pictures you see online don’t look anything like this place. There is no view of the lake from the rooms. The place is old, dated and the rooms (ours was a suite) have commercial kitchen type of quarry tile with dirty grout lines. Save your money and go elsewhere. I complained about the mattress so that’s how I know they were “brand new”. We ended up not staying the second night forfeiting $450 for the night because they said they couldn’t refund it. Hotels.com claims they tried to get us a refund but they failed miserably as well. There were very few guests and no weddings going on when we were there. I guess that’s why they couldn’t refund our money when I told them I couldn’t stay another night on that hard mattress due to back issues I . Instead we let them keep the money and we drove 6 hours home. Buyer beware!

We lived on a third floor. The veux was wonderful. However, the stairs are very steep and you would think twice of going back to the room. Elevator would greatly improve the accessibility

Beautiful property! The view of the lake and the landscaping is fantastic. The proximity to the town of Geneva is a major plus.
The only criticism is that there is no lobby and area to gather. The check-in is located in a very small office. But other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property!!

We are an older couple and had a room on the top floor- did not know that there is NO elevator and they were also doing noisy roof repair directly outside our room all day long. No indoor pool, the bathroom was the size of a closet and the decor is ancient. Overpriced and not worth it.

First the good - great staff, beautiful grounds and excellent location. Renovated bar and bartender were great!
Now the bad - rooms are dated and in need of renovation and the on-site restaurant is violently overpriced and serving poorly executed food. As a chef, I was embarrassed for them serving such badly prepared food and then having the temerity to charge high end prices. It was also roasting hot in the dining room. Anyplace would be better to eat.

We had a great stay for our first trip to the Finger Lakes region--easy to check in, friendly and accommodating staff, delicious meals on property, beautiful grounds, and comfortable room...will definitely stay here again in the future and highly recommend to others!

We had a very nice stay. A lot of renovations being made so limited access to the facilities. We feel that should be noted when you book a room. It however, didn’t greatly effect our stay. Breakfast at the restaurant was very nice. Staff over all is very kind & accommodating. Our room was very clean & comfortable. Kitchen appliances a bit dated but everything you would need to make breakfast, a quick meal or snack provided. We were very pleased. Stately, impressive property. I’m sure it will be stellar after the renovations.

Loved Geneva on the Lakes. Joan and Kristen are amazing keepers of the hotel. It's right on the lake. Townhouse was supplied with all necessities.

Our first contact with the front desk, we knew we made the perfect choice in our stay. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and excited to see us....even though it was our first time there. She gave us a free upgrade without even asking for one. The property was clean and the room was like stepping into a colonial age. The room quiet and cozy. We did have breakfast in the morning which was delicious. We definitely recommend staying here and will do so on our next trip to the finger lakes. Bob and Tammy Powers

We stayed in the dog friendly townhouse. It was like taking a step back into the 80’s. Everything was so outdated. I’m guessing this is why there are limited pictures online. What was supposed to be a nice getaway turned out to be very disappointing. Would not recommend for the price.

We had a wonderful time. Walked the grounds. The history of the building is amazing. We had dinner onsite at Lancellotti Restaurant. Noah our waiter was a wonderful young man and took great care of us. Steve the piano player played a great selection of music. Our food was fabulous and we will return.

The hotel overall is pretty nice. Unfortunately during the winter there was not much to do around the local area. The staff is very nice but restaurant service was very slow for the price we paid.

The property was overall disappointing. I thought it would have been a lot better. The living room was drafty and cold. The room smelled musty. There were numerous stink bugs found in the room.

Our second time there, it is a beautiful property and the staff is excellent! Very convenient to Geneva and the wine/beer trail. The room though needed attention. It was generally clean but the carpet needed a good shampoo. All in, we enjoyed it and will be back.

The property surrounding the hotel is beautiful. But I do feel we were not treated as Hotel guests since we only had maid service ONE day. After the second day of our stay we had to inquire why our room had not been cleaned especially the bathroom also there were no clean towels. They told us the maid had not shown up and to bring our dirty towels down and pick up clean ones. When I pay over $400 a night and have to clean my own bathroom (tub, toilet and sink) and chase after clean towels I am most certainly not a happy customer. If the maids do not show up for work they are obviously not payed adequately!!! Sorry will never go back.

Friendly, accommodating staff. The rooms were comfortable with (surprisingly) too many closets.
The one significant downside was the apparent updating that was necessary throughout. or the amount of money we paid, more was expected.
The dinner menu is overpriced and not recommended, though service was nice.
The grounds were well manicured, pretty and peaceful.
