The room was ok, the beds are comfortable but you don’t get much of a blanket really. No frills but at the price I don’t expect them. The breakfast consists of waffles, two types of cereal with a pitcher of milk, one yogurt that i am pretty sure was there a week before when I stayed there on my way to Texas, bread for toast and hard boiled eggs. This morning, though, the waffle machine was sticking and so the staff just turned it off so really no breakfast at all. Overall an average stay for an average price I suppose

Old building falling apart. Bathtub was rounded so it was very awkward trying to take shower. The staff was very friendly. La Quinta hotels are one of my favorite places to stay but this particular on I don’t think I’ll stay there again. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Aging carpets. Breakfast was poor. Served 6 to 9. I got there 8:30. No fruit. No waffles. Good coffee. Cereal and milk. Oh well.
Overall experience - adequate. Slept well. That's what I needed after 500 mile bike ride from SC.

Seems this hotel is really having some money issues. The one complementary soap was so thin you could almost read through it. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, corn flakes, Raisin Bran, white bread slices for toast and yogurt. Waffle maker was there, but, no waffle batter. Microwave in room was broken. Start button didn’t work. Upon checkout I was told because I booked the room online, they were not allowed to give me a receipt. I got one when I checked out of the LaQuinta in Hoover and booked it online. Clerk couldn’t explain why it was different in Meridian. She could not even be sure what amount I will be billed??? Although we’ve stayed at this La Quinta several times in the past, this will be our last.

This motel has had no maintenance in twenty years. The complimentary breakfast was a toaster, a loaf of white bread, cold cereal, and a broken waffle maker.

The room was so disgusting we left.
The elevator had dead bugs in the above
Lite and it was all cracked.

This property has gone way down hill since last time we were here. Best part was the bed was comfortable. Bedding was worn but clean. Was afraid of walking on the hallway carpet, it was very worn and stained. This property needs a face lift!

Very clean and the staff were all very nice.the hotel is older and doesn’t appear to have any upgrades in a very longtime. Very quiet. If you’re looking for a simple no frills room that’s what you will get here.

Towels looked like someone wiped their butt. Literally. Sheets were also dirty. Booked a room for 5 people and was given a room for 4. Desk attendant offered no resolution.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. Over the past 10 years of travel, this experience stands out as the most disappointing. The rooms designated as pet-friendly were not suitable for human occupancy. The pervasive unpleasant odors and stained sheets implied an assumption that only animals would inhabit the space.
This issue extended beyond the room we initially booked, encompassing two additional rooms during our stay. Even though the last room provided had faults, pen stains persisted, though it at least lacked the overwhelming scent suggesting multiple animals had occupied it. Before showering, the tub required pre-cleaning, and the bedding, consisting of a fitted sheet and an unfamiliar top piece, fell short of acceptable standards. We had to approach the front desk to obtain two washcloths and hand towels. Regrettably, we received one washcloth and two hand towels. It appeared as though the missing washcloths would be sourced from a different location along with the comforter that should have been part of the room. Furthermore, I was charged a $25.00 pet fee for my service dog, despite filling out the provided form. Moving on to the breakfast experience, or lack thereof, it was the most subpar continental breakfast I have encountered. The absence of fruit, eggs, and minimal offerings like waffles and yogurt, along with issues with the juice machine, left much to be desire

Please start offering sausage ham and bacon with the breakfast…

I trust La Quinta nationally as a clean, good-value stay. This property should have been demolished and rebuilt years ago. At least they could have replaced the filthy rugs. Our family had to keep our shows on whenever walking around the room. I'm not giving up on La Quinta yet

Hotel seriously needs to invest some money back into the property.
Run down, needs repairs, linens worn and dingy

It was very nice hotel and cleaness

Aging hotel. Maybe because we reserved a pet friendly room, but it smelled like urine when we walked in. HVAC system was noisy and sounded like it was about to break. Fortunately weather was cool enough that we just turned it off.
Convenient for easy off I-20 and pet friendly while traveling, but probably won’t stay here again.

The rooms were refurbished and good but the carpet in the hallway needed to be replaced.

We were given a key to an already occupied room. The attendant never apologized and then gave us a key to a new room which was poorly cleaned. I had to clean someone else's blood off of the toilet seat. The next morning, i watched 3 employees go from the front desk out to a white SUV with a widow missing and sit for an etended time in the SUV, leaving the front desk, phones, and patrons unattended.

The rugs in the hallway were very old and stained and carried over to the rug by the sink.

This was our first and last stay at this location. The facility was run down and our room smelled like cat urine. The carpet was stained and our window unit air conditioner/heat made the loudest noise when turned on.

I checked in and immediately checked out. I’ve always had good experiences with this chain, but this hotel was filthy! The carpet was horrible! & as soon as I walked in my room, there was a roach crawling around in the sink. Night staff was not very friendly.

Staff was great but working with a new system so check in was slow.

There was a major problem with the plumbing. Early in the morning water poured down from an area of the ceiling next to a fire sprinkler down onto the floor below.

It’s a flat out no from me. Absolutely filthy. Run down. Just straight up nasty. Boogers on the wall, hair and mold all over the bathroom. “Clean me” written in chapstick on the filthy mirror. And then 160 a night is a joke.

We arrived late into the evening. When entered the lobby, we smelled pot. Even though our room was a non-smoking room, we could certainly smell previous smoker. Bed slept good. We left pretty early the next morning.

Front Desk receptionist was great. She was super conversational and I really appreciated her welcome. Hallways and carpeting looked dingy/dirty. Room smelled of stale smoke / musty carpet. The pillows were a joke - the smallest most used pillows I've seen in a long time. One of the four pillows that were balled up on the bed was a feather pillow - I don't even want to imagine how gross it was under the cover. Ended up bringing in our own pillows from the car. The breakfast bar in the morning didn't have anything appealing to eat, went to McDonalds instead.

We had a great late check in (11:30 pm)! We got the last pet room and so happy that they put the pet rooms on the 1st floor. We could definitely tell that it was a pet room because of the look of the floor (not a bad smell, tho) and chewed on furniture, but that was totally expected. The bed was super comfy and wonderful hot water in the shower. Great waffles for breakfast, as well as plenty of parking.

Most of the carpet is stained. Paint has been put on thick to cover up imperfections.

Burn it down....I had stains on my bedspread and it looked like someone already slept in our bed there was also mold in the bathroom and I itched the entire time. Funny I stopped all that when we left😡

The tv didn't work. Went and told the front desk and all she said was she wasn't IT and gave us a new remote. And the tv still didn't work. Let my granddaughter crawl on the floor and ger feet got dirty from the carpet. Some of the towels we had had stains on them. Not happy 😒

The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Only had 2 towels in the bathroom & smelled very musty

The properties smelt like an old musty smell, had roaches in the bathroom and bathroom vanity. No breakfast was served Continental or otherwise, had to go next door to Wafflehouse for breakfast, The properties wasnt what they advertised at all, it was an older model.

Check in was slightly confusing. The desk clerk seem to be talking to me and somebody else at the same time. Our room key did not work the first time so we had to go back downstairs. The bathroom smelled clean, but it didn’t really look clean. The grout had some issues. The room was not thoroughly vacuumed. When we went down for breakfast, we were surprised to learn that there was none. The person who was supposed to set it up did not have a key to access the supplies needed. That was very disappointing. I wish we could deduct $15 from the room charge for the breakfast we had to buy. All in all it wasn’t too terrible. It was just a place to sleep.

Only comment is disappointed with condition of hotel. Room was clean, food at breakfast was acceptable.
