My rating would have been excellent if it were not for the issues with the elevators during our stay. One elevator in the main bank was down for repairs. and one elevator in the secondary bank (service) was used for furniture moving. This created a logjam of delays for both customers and staff trying to use the elevators. The delays were serious. Not good planning on the part of management.

This has become my go-to hotel of choice when in NYC. It is in the theater district, is one block from Central Park, and the entire staff could NOt be more helpful every time I stay there. Their concierge/doorman staff is outstanding. (My personal favorite this time was Ishmael!) Thank you guys, and I'll be back on my next trip!

Hotel is great. Staff is super friendly. Rooms are clean. Great location. Upscale experience.

Room and entire facility were very clean and comfortable. Best bed and bedding! I was disappointed to have towels replaced and dishwasher run every day, which was unnecessary.
Dishwasher didn’t get silver very clean. Room needed work—peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, just generally run-down. And for an almost week-long stay and lots of $$$, I would prefer a window looking out at something other than an air shaft!
The Manhattan Club is in an extremely convenient location for everything in the city.

Staff was great and very accommodating.

We had a penthouse suite which was amazing very clean and daily room service was very good, hotel was in a perfect place for us just five minutes walk to Central Park and only 20-30 minutes walk to 5th avenue shops, Empire State and the Rockefeller building. Lifts are always very busy so quick tip there are two more hidden away just head to reception and turn left through the side door to find two more lifts rarely used.
A superb family holiday in an amazing city thank you Manhattan Club and thank you New York

Great property with a fantastic location. Reasonably priced and nice service from front desk, valet, etc.
Room was really hot. Uncomfortably stuffy. They don’t turn on the air conditioning until May, so an April stay kept the air in the room quite stale. Otherwise, this was a good choice, and would recommend.

I had a good stay in the Penthouse Suites. They were nice. The price was excellent, and although the rooms are a little dated, they seemed very clean. The housekeeping was excellent (always replacing towels and offering nighttime turn-down). The rooms were noticeably quiet with only the heater running. The temperature was kept at a perfect level for some cold days (not too cold or hot). These suites give a lot of room, but my room was two levels, and I really did not need the top level bathroom. The rooms have half kitchens, so that was great. Overall, this was excellent value compared to staying at another hotel with single small room.

Perfect location. Right coner of the carnegie hall. Safe to walk in night. Friedly staff and wider room space. But fan in the room is a little noisy.

I have stayed in this hotel before with no issue.
I was given with a room that had the extractor fans for the whole building located outside the window. The noise was deafening.
Also, I could not heat my room and I was cold.
I was assured these issues would be resolved early the next morning.
The way I was treated the next day was horrific. I was told that I would have to check out by 11am and wait until 4pm to get a new room. The reason I was in New York on Friday was because I had plans on Saturday. I said that if I had to check out, I wouldn’t be checking back in and I wouldn’t be paying for the remainder of the stay. The manager said that was fine. I was also informed that the heating was switched to neutral for the hotel and I could not heat my room.
When I checked out (at 1.30pm, after hotels.com spending 45 mins on the phone trying to resolve this ), I informed the staff that they were not authorised to charge anything further to my card. I recorded myself stating that to protect myself.
During this, another member of staff came over and acted aggressively to me and then threatened me with the police.
I have never experienced such behaviour in a hotel. Big thanks to the doormen who treated me kindly as I was very shaken.
All staff I encountered agreed with me that it was excessive noise.
My bank contacted me to inform that this property has tried to charge for the WHOLE stay despite my non-authorisation so they acted fraudulently. Hotels.com have not helped

I would highly recommend this stay for a family or for people spending a long time in New York. Our room was extremely spacious—A living area with kitchenette and small dining table, a bedroom, and two bathrooms. The customer service was terrific. The valet parking was reasonably priced and convenient. There was no self parking, which I would normally opt for. But the valet service was so prompt and convenient that I was glad to have it. The hotel was clean and well appointed. The location was tops. Very close to Central Park, with many delis, small restaurants, and coffee shops close by for a quick bite to eat. The location and the space of the room were the highlights for us. Can’t be beat. The one criticism (though it didn’t bother us at all!) is that the rooms (at least the one we were in) were not updated. The dining table showed a lot of wear and tear, for example. And the decor was not modern. So, if it’s important to you to have a glitzy, modern, Instagrammable hotel, this may not be for you. But if having a spacious room in an unbeatable Manhattan location, and excellent customer service are most important to you, book now!

Wonderful service, attentive concierge. Rooms look like they haven't been updated since 1995 - the drawers would not stay closed and the decor made things feel dirtier than they were. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at The Manhattan Club again.

Chose this hotel for its proximity to Lincoln Center, kitchenette, and ability to check in after midnight. It was a delight with friendly staff, comfortable beds, and ability to walk to everywhere my daughter wanted to go-Central Park, MoMA, 5th Ave/57th street shopping, and more.

Everything in the hotel is great and the location is great. The only problem is that the elevators are too busy during check out time in the morning.

The air conditioner (heat) was not working well and the room was like a refrigerator. As a result, I got flu and had to go to local urgent care. I addressed this issue to the hotel 3 times but it was never solved.

Definitely book your room here! Spacious and conveniently located within walkable distance of everything. Subway station is only a block away. Just know that early check in is highly unlikely but you can wait upstairs and they store your luggage. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent stay at The Manhattan Club. Valet parking was a plus. We were on penthouse floor with 2 room suite. Living/dining/kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and dishwasher. Queen sleeper sofa and full bath and TV. Bedroom had king size bed with full bath and TV. 10-15 walk to Times Square. Lots of dining options nearby. Staff were great. Room cleaned each day. Would highly recommend.

We found the service and cleanliness to be excellent. The room, however, was rather dated, chair upholstery was torn, furniture pretty worn and the shower in one of the bathrooms was not working. There were no USB portals which made cell phone charging a challenge if you didn’t have the proper adapter.

I love the size of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff.
I don’t like the difficulty in getting an elevator.
The room that we had needs some updating but was clean. Beds could have been softer.

Skyline Duplex is like a comfortable apartment with full kitchen. Having a bedroom and full bath on each floor allows for privacy. Great location with attentive staff.

For the price of the Penthouse suite it most certainly should come with better perks. The penthouse suite rooftop access was "closed for the season" which should NOT be the case! You should allow your guests to make the decision whether or not it's too cold. The breakfast was absolutely not worth the amount it costs! They don't offer any eggs other than half frozen boiled and no protein??? Unacceptable to say the least! Other than the bathroom floors covered in hair the place was clean. The place itself could use a bit of TLC. I understand the place is old and "classic" but it definitely doesn't have to look like it on the inside of the suites.

Michael and his team at breakfast were outstanding. Went above and beyond every day...old school customer service.

Great for the price. The room was SO HOT! We tried to cool the room, but only hot air came out. When I called about the temperature, I was told the building is only set to heat. In order to cool the room, you had to turn everything off. Our room never dropped below 77 the entire stay. We were in the 25th floor. Maybe the lower floors were cooler.
Staff was exceptional. The suite was spacious and well equipped. It could use some updating.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Michael in the lounge is very accommodating in the morning for breakfast. He’s very friendly, helpful and eager to assist. Housekeeping staff were delightful. Our Room condition was excellent. The mattress and bedding were very comfortable. Bathrooms were breathtaking and beautiful. The Manhattan Club is well maintained, efficiently run and located in the right place. If we had any complaints it would be slow elevators, rooms need a few more outlets along with usb outlets and the people in the next room were animals who let their children play with their entry door & it slammed every 10 seconds starting at 7am.

I like the property and area around is safe full of dinner options plus.
But the property have many problems with maintenance, cleaning, lights fixtures, carpet, windows very dirty.
Is sad because even like that guests love to stay there.
Hope soon they do something to fix and update The Manhattan Club.
