I stayed here a few times while transitioning back to Illinois from Virginia. It took me longer than expected and had to come back a few times. The Elk Grove Village Location on Devon has been an affordable Godsend!

When I checked in at Extended Stay, my room was not correct. I was given a room with one bed, when I requested two beds. I got upset with the desk staff, and thought it was their fault, but it was as Hotel.com, through Expedia that was at fault. I apologize and said I was wrong.

The staff was very nice. It was an enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Poor customer service at check in, Nobody available at desk for checkout, Used wash rag hanging in shower, scratches on TV with poor picture quality, furniture was raggedy and spots.

The staff was not extremely rude. While we were checking in cops and tow trucks were there… made us feel real safe and warm and fuzzy inside. We continued to go up to second floor where our room was. The halls were bare and eerie. Our room still had tape on the walls from some kind of sign being hung. The tv was basically like looking at 101 dalmations. It looked like there was a side table missing because a lamp was as on the ground. Just overall not the greatest experience. Next time we will choose the location at woodfield mall.

Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only problem I had is that some of the sheets had stains & there were ants in the bathroom! Plus not sure if there were bed bugs because I woke up with bites. Wish I could get a refund. Very disappointed

Hate to give a bad review because I guess you get what you pay for. Room was just pretty gross in general, smelled like urine, TV didn’t work, hot water was limited, just not maintained. Whole facility needs some upkeep. Breakfast was just coffee, granola bars and instant oatmeal.

Excellent Except for 1 thing. The TV totally sucks some off brand made in china and the remote only clicks up and down, no mute, no sound adjustment, and no closed caption which is required by federal law.

Many insects when opening drawers… left the room in the middle of the night due to insects crawling on the bed

The rooms were dirty, the beds are uncomfortable, and the heaters in most rooms are out of service. Very limited breakfast options- good for the price, but nothing exceptional!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days And it was very uncomfortable. The room had an very bad strong odor. There was never any staff at the front desk. When there were they were not professional at all. I asked for toilet brush. One of the attendants took the toilet brush and slid it across the counter towards me and I jumped back in fear of that brush touching me which it did not. But the fear of it touching me. I asked for clean towels for 2 days every time Would get to see someone at the front counter. They would always say the towels are in the laundry. Come back in 1 hour or 2 hours. That's if you're lucky to find them at the front desk. I personally would never stay at that location ever again. touching me.

Rooms are in bad condition and the bed looks like a foldable bed with no blankets available. If you’re going to have a kitchen then leave pots and pans. Every single thing needs to be asked for. Very loud and very old hotel.

When I got into the room, there was a lamp without a bulb and not plugged into an outlet. Another wall lamp was ripped and had trash on the top and coins in the bottom of the holder. The bathroom faucet had very little water coming out of it when fully opened. The bed had no comforter. Only a top sheet and a thin blanket...btw, it's the end of December outside.

well the first room on the first floor the window didn't lock had to switch rooms. Then my second room smell like somebody smoked a carton of cigarettes. And I'm a smoker and it was nasty! Also had a cracked window. Then my third room was alright. Until the next morning. Not the hotels fault but the people above me somebody sounded like they were locked in the bathroom and was banging on everything since 4:30 AM. Then I requested another room all the way on the third floor. On my way to the room there was a bunch of chicken wing bones just left in the middle of the floor. The hallway smelled pretty nasty also maybe it was just a mixture of all the smells of everybody cooking food I don't know. there were definitely some real sketchy looking people staying there. I didn't fear from my life or anything but still they were sketchy. The workers were fast to change my rooms. I suppose if you offer mini muffins and breakfast bars and coffee you can call that breakfast don't expect anything fancy which I didn't for the price of the room for the night. the beds were not luxurious but they were not horrible. Large size in each room. They have a really nice closet space in there with a few racks and hangers. overall the room looked OK. I moved about an hour north of this area and was hoping to find a hotel in this price range to stay for the weekend once in a while visiting friends. Doesn't look like it's gonna work out for me coming back.

This hotel is beyond ridiculous you have to rent or purchase pots and pans. Only one trash can in the entire room, no napkins and most importantly no ice machine. This was a waste of my $75 dollars way below my standard, will never stay again.

This was a typical stay like any other Extended Stay America.. for us it was apleasant stay. But pet owners need to check with them about their pet policies.. they had a sign saying cats not allowed. Also they may not be very accommodating for late/early check in/check out.

On Friday, December 1st. 2023 I made a reservation at the, "Extended Stay Of America" hotel in Schaumburg, Illinois like I've done on several different occasions. But on this particular evening. The Front Desk clerk claimed that he couldn't find my reservation (confirmation) number!!! And I paid already paid for the entire weekend at that hotel. And I completely don't believe him. I don't know what to think about that.

The rooms smell like cigarettes and it’s non smoking hotel. They change your room and don’t even apologize. The next room they put us smelled like mildew and mold and on both rooms the phones don’t work.

Bathtub was stained dirty? Didnt trust taking a shower... hairs on two of the pillows...nothing as advertised ...

Beds were small and not comfortable. It could be a great spot if it had some internal updates and more staffing support. The person at the desk was nice but were overwhelmed and had nobody to assist with those of us waiting to check in.

Very noisy neighbors and looked and sounded unsafe to be in.

Try to put bed covers which are not stained otherwise the rest was fine

The man at the front desk was not welcoming and the room did not have washcloths with a small blanket for the whole night. The location is great but outside of that i would not return.

Room was dirty plunger right next to toilet , no towels in the room the pillowcase was turn inside out I discovered it was dirty used from a previous guest bathroom stinks. Condition of the facility needs a new management probably as they are not keeping up with the cleanliness.

The room was pretty dirty. There was a brown stain on the bed sheet and there were dried-up piss stains on the toilet bowl.

The area was nice because it is near the restaurant and shopping places. The room was definitely needing some improvement. The first room I got was 126, the bathroom was dirty, floor was dark with stains and the bed got blood stains on it. The staff was nice and fast to change my room right away to 128. It got better. The smells in both rooms were weird, it smells like weird spices. We turned on the fan high to help ventilating the room a bit. The kitchen sink was full of stains, and oil splatter around the wall. It's bearable for a one night sleep, but I would not considered to come back to this location again.

This is one of those hotels where people "live" for weeks or months at a time. Not the cleanest place, beds are cheap, no ice, breakfast was those pre-packaged muffins, instant oatmeal, and 1 coffee container. I guess for $70/night, this is what you get. Hallways smell and lots of loud TV's.

I visited this hotel recently for sweetest day, and it was one of the worst stays of my life. I will never book with this hotel again. When I arrived, the front desk/manager told me he couldn’t find my reservation although I was showing the confirmation. I was receiving daily reminder about the room so I was so confused how was I not in the system. He basically told me sorry if you want a room you’ll have to pay full price and not the price I reserved the room for. Wow! Like I said it was sweetest day so it was too late to do anything else. The elevators are broke. It jumped 5 times before landing and letting us out. As soon as I got off the elevator, all I smelled was cigarettes. I was confused because it was a no smoking floor. The room smelled like cigarettes so bad. I went out to buy air freshener and no matter how much I sprayed, the smell did not go away for long. Woke up the next morning and you’ll think I didn’t spray anything. It was 5 big towels and 1 face towel in the room. I have never had just 1 face towel in the room. I’m so happy it was only one night and I’ll never do this again!!!!!!!!!
