I brought my two daughters and two friends to the hotel so they can swim after we went to Urban Air here in Rockford Illinois. Unfortunately the pool was so overcrowded from people that were not staying in the hotel that the girls barely got to swim. And when they did swim they were getting splashed in the face by all the kids that we're unattended. People were going in and out of the pool patio door I believe most of them were not guests of the hotel.

There was a loud unruly party with adults partaking in adult recreation activities with kids around. Other than that the bed was comfy but pillows were hard. Great overnight spot convenient to food and shopping

The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. I reported two repairs that needed to be done to the front desk the first day but they were never addressed

Had to walk around the front desk to get the worker to look up from TikTok and check me in. Room was very spacious and had all necessary items. Only issues I had were damp carpets, black wavy hair in the bedding (I’m blonde), and hair stuck to the shower wall. Pillow cases seemed clean but had previous stains still visible. Pillows also felt like bricks so bring your own pillow. Came time for breakfast and the worker “couldn’t find the pancake thingy” so she was going to wait for the 7 am shift to find it. I had to leave before then for work so that was annoying. She then offered to give me a single cup of batter to make 1.

The linens were quite clean. Carpet was old and stained. Couch was as well. The couch opened out and blocks the door from being opened so that's a little scary. Pool area is nothing like website pictures. Old, dirty, water is freezing and pool itself is quite small. Evening 'manager' was exceptionally rude and not helpful. You need pool keys to get into pool area and those and our room keys did not work. Attendants for breakfast took their time refilling stations so that was a nice spread but difficult to navigate. They still wrap everything in plastic like covid days. Walls are thin and elevator was a little sketchy and almost trapped our toddler bc the door slammed shut. Bathroom is outdated and very small. If you need a quick resting spot it's just fine for the price ($80ish). But if you're looking to enjoy and relax, this is not the place unfortunately. The maintenance staff were lovely and welcoming and the morning manager was kind. Probably won't stay again.

I was a little offended when I was given a list of rules for the hotel. On top of that 2 days out of our stay there was a strong odor of Marijuana in the 1st level hall and in the elevator. This was part of the rules.
I asked for a wake up call for Saturday morning, for a family outing, and never received the wake up call. Luckily we woke up at 7:30a, which put us behind by a half hour.
Of the 4 days we stayed it was pleasant and quiet except for the above issues.

Check in was horrible. The room and most of the hotel smelled like weed. The staff was rude and completely messed up our check in with our credit card. To top it it off we checked out a day early and now they're trying to charge us more money. A complete joke. Stay Away!!

The room was too hot i changed the temperature to 60 degrees and did not seem to be cooled down.

The rooms are clean but you could say "well worn". My husband and I like the fact that there is a a big sofa and 2 TVs with a slatted door separating the "living area from the sleeping area. So, we often stay here when visiting friends and relatives in the Rockford area because there is more room than other hotels and at a reasonable price.

The pull out couch blocks the way of the door to leave or enter the room. Huge fire hazard. The pool also always cold!!!

The Hotel was fairly clean for being an older hotel. It’s conveniently located near Walmart and many restaurants. The staff were not very friendly though. The room was comfortable but the toilet was backed up and I didn’t want to try to call staff at 11pm to fix it so it was just an inconvenience for the night.

We are doing a cross country car trip and this was a stop along the way. Had a good size room with a sitting area and separate sleeping area. Everything was clean and bedding and towels were good. Air circulation in the room was good. Place was quiet (midweek).
A little bit of a different layout given that 2 of us could not use the sink area early in the morning because there was no door to the bedroom. Made for a slight inconvenience with 1 of us wishing to get up and try to get ready while the other one slept in for a bit longer.
Attempted to work out in the workout facility but it was off the pool and way too hot. Could not find a temperature climate control for the room. Good thing I was the only 1 in it.
Drive to Giovani’s for Chicago deep dish pizza. Was worth the drive.

Floors to rooms have marijuana smell.
First room smelled like straight up ass, along with hole wall.
Second room not better.
Was supposed to have a king bed, was a double.
Bathroom had mold on floor by shower.
Vanity had names etched into it.
Front desk had their child in the back watching TV and could be heard saying “mom come here”
Had to use a separate key to use pool, which could only be acquired at desk.
Pool was supposed to be heated. It was cold.
Ice machines broken on floors 1 and 2 get acquire on fires 3-4.
Breakfast was subpar.
The lobby, where the breakfast is served has homeless individuals eating there.
Juices are all watered down.

Couldn’t use the pool. There were 4 adults and 20 kids in the pool. It looked like a birthday party even though the facility said no parties. Breakfast was well below average. Even though I paid for everything online ahead of time, I was told I owed a small balance when I checked in. Next time I’m in the area, I will try a different hotel.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the room. The staff was amazing and gave discount coupons to local restaurants. Great recommendations and we had a wonderful meal.SO happy with them.

The staff member who assisted us with check-in and check-out, Shawn, is AMAZING! The atmosphere at breakfast and at the pool was a bit chaotic and loud, however that was due to other guests and not within the facilities control. We will definitely go there again.

Hotel smelled like weed, pullout couch in room was severely stained and had sharp broken pieces hanging from it. Rooms need updating. Lobby was the only nice area in the Hotel.

The property is in horrible shape. It's also clearly a party hotel. It is not worth the room fees that are being charged. Initially, we had difficulty getting basic things like pillow for the sofa bed-fortunately, the young lady working the desk took it upon herself to find us the pillows we needed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - certainly not at the price we paid.

This room was not as good as the one earlier in the week. There were squeaky floor boards, this room did not have the walk in shower even though it was the same type of room and price. I could hear everything that was said in the room next door. The luggage trolley was almost impossible to maneuver. On the plus side, Lorraine was very friendly as usual.

I enjoyed my stay, but there was a smell of cigarette smoke up and down the 3rd floor hall and as well as in my room. And I am not a smoker, so I am sensitive to the smell. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful hotel and rooms. One of the nicest La Quinta's in which I've stayed. Large suite with separate bedroom and a big shower.

Rooms are run down and dirty. I am still working on getting a refund which is likely going to require hours of back and forth despite the fact that I immediately checked out when I saw the condition of my room among other alarming things.
