I was put on the second floor and was not told the elevator was out, the hallways smelled of dogs and got stool pretty visible not to mention the internet was impossible to use.

I booked a deluxe suite, paid for it, then when I got there they said there weren't any available, and put me in a room that was in terrible condition. There was no trash can when I got in, a bathroom light was burnt out, and the carpet was so frayed at the bottom of the door that it was a trip hazard. Most inconveniently though the bolt to the door would barely retract so that you could shut it. It took numerous times to get it to stick. When I complained the said they'd fix it tomorrow, and then when I complained the next day when I couldn't get the bolt on the door to retract at all they said I was being too loud about it and gave ,e 1/2 hour to collect my things and go. They essentially stole a week's worth of rent from me because I complained about the poor living conditions. Mainstay Suites in Cincinnati is the much better alternative everyone.

Had a very short lived experience at this particular property. Pulling into the parking lot, you’ll notice shutters on the windows that are falling off. The pool at the front of the property is drained and the patio around it is being used for storage. There was a group of people sitting on the table in front of the entrance smoking cigarettes. We got our room key and started down the hall to the room itself. There was plastic Halloween decorations, hanging up outside of one of the guest room doors, signal, and somebody has been staying at that extended stay for a very long time. When we open the door to our bedroom, there was threadbare carpet, torn curtains, stained drapes, stained couch. The bed frame looked like it belonged on a Murphy bed. When I pulled back the sheets to check for bedbugs, there was what looked like pubic hair in the “clean” sheets. The only way to describe the bathroom was very nasty. The TV appeared to have white residue sprayed on it as well as on the headboard. The whole property smelled of very strong cigarette smoke. Upon leaving the property we noticed that the exterior door had all locking mechanisms removed, allowing anyone to walk in from the outside. We immediately put our belongings back in our car and contacted Expedia. We were very disappointed that the Expedia agent was not very helpful and getting any kind of refund, instead suggested we go fight with the manager ourselves. This property was not what we thought we getting.

This property is very dirty and poorly managed. When we first showed up no one was there to check us in that knew how so we were told to come back later.. after we checked in later we discovered the place was DISGUSTING. Broken outside door, gross stained carpet, smelled like drugs and cigarettes in the building, looked like someone tried to pry open the room door, room had no sheets, no curtain. Building needs a lot of work!!

It was filfthy and misrepresented. It may have a stove, sink, refrigerator, but no cups plates pans etc. No coffe maker. No ice machine. They gave us a bed and an extremely lumpy twin size rollout for 4 of us grown adults. Cat had scratched up loveseat sized sofa and drapes. Our allergies from said cat flared up. Carpet was black. It was the worst hotel I've stayed in. Do NOTsave this. Expedia should reconsider including this property.

The location is in a quiet area which is nice. The staff upfront Carol she was great an provide things to do around the area. The hotel though was not so great Pool is out of service, hall way an rooms smell disgusting. We literally had dirty towels hanging as our clean ones an looked like someone used it. They don’t do housekeeping which really isn’t a big deal to me but if you want clean towels you have to bring your dirty ones to the front desk. There’s also people that are staying here longer an you will see a lot of people out in the parking at night. And the day we were checking out it was 10:50am an someone from maintenance was already knocking at our door. Overall I wouldn’t recommend or would stay here again.

I called ahead of time to make sure that if I got there later that I would still have my reservation but of course we were traveling from pretty far away, the lady on the phone assured me that it was fine. We got there at 9:50 the lobby was already closed and the lady was standing at the door, she already knew who I was and told me she didn’t have my number to call me and told me they gave my room away and she couldn’t help me… so at 10;00 me and my family had to go on a search to find a new hotel around the same price range… the really sad part is they still tried to charge me 100 dollars for this hotel.

I booked a double room at this location for 6 days. When I arrived, I was given a single room. The young lady that met me (she was very nice) explained that the pictures and the description on the listing are not this hotel! She said they did not have any rooms with 2 beds available at the time. I asked for extra sheets for the pull out sofa. When I went back to the room, I found that the pull out sofa was stained and had actual dirt on it so I couldn't sleep on it. Additionally, the room was not clean, the floor was not swept, there was no chair for the desk, and no bed skirt just the bare box spring. I tried to work with Hotels.com until 2 AM to get another hotel reservation to no avail. The next morning I asked the front desk clerk for a refund. She tried to argue that I got the room I selected through Hotels.com although I had confirmation that I did in fact select a double room. I requested a refund for the remainder of my stay. After some discussion and reluctance, she contacted her regional manager to get approval for the refund. Consumers - I would only recommend staying here as an absolute last option. Hotels.com/Birch Hill - Show the appropriate pictures of the rooms or stop listing it on the website.

Horrible customer service. Had roaches had to leave in the middle of the night. No staff what so ever. Lost my whole reservation. Never will I stay there again, neeeds to be closed asap

Arrived to see the outside pool drained. Online they had an outdoor and indoor pool pictured. When I walked in I asked about it, and the lady said they do not have a pool and the one outside it going to be filled with concrete soon. There are people sitting outside the lobby door smoking even though the signs said 25ft. It is right next to McDonald’s and it was super packed so the parking lot to the hotel was also being used for McDonald’s. People are running back and forth off of the property and on. It did not seem like a safe area for people with kids. Especially with so many people coming and going. I canceled our reservation and left.

The doors stayed open all the time for the doors never close They didn’t have any telephones in the room. They had them outside in the hallways. They didn’t even have ice buckets or ice machine or They didn’t have any toothbrushes or toothpaste also, I thought I had a room with a double queen size bed, but I had a room with stove, refrigerator and microwave and a king size bed

The property was very worn down. The pictures online are deceiving. The property smells of heavy smoke, carpet old dirty and torn. The bathrooms are outdated and unsanitary.

Room wasn't ready at 2, they said check in was 3. We came back at 330, they were still working on it. They said they put new bed frame and mattress in, one of the sponge type that are in abox, it may have been new, but not comfortable. They had to put up curtains, bring new tv in, a 32 inch. No tv in bedroom. The pool wasnt usable. The door to the building didn't close or lock. Old sticky carpet in room. Wasnt a very good stay. We won't be back. People outside smoking, loitering around. No trash can, no dishwater in room. Not even a bed spread. Just sheets and a blanket. Man and woman trying to get room ready was nice, but rooms are old, and not furnished as stated online.

There was mold on the wall. A huge white stain on the floor. No sheets for the pull out bed. Brown stains on the mattress. When we went to tell the clerk about our concerns she told us they would fix the room and it would be about 30 minutes. We left to get something to eat and I called back over to the hotel and they informed us there was actually no mold in the room but we clearly saw fuzzy mold on the wall and cabinet. When we asked for our money back they said it was non refundable even though the place was unfit to stay in. Then they wouldn’t let us back into the room because they had set off an “air freshener bomb” because they thought we weren’t coming back. Awful experience and even worse costumer service. And they blatantly lied to us about they mold.

Unfortunately I stayed for 10 days. The TV didn't work, the kitchen sink didn't drain, the garbage disposal was broke. The 3rd day the frig broke. Staff wouldn't assist with the CSCPay app for to do laundry. Other guests were loud, letting their door hit the night latch at all hours. There are 3 bell carts for check in/out.(3 in ea. bldg). I left @ 8p on day 9 and No carts were available in either bldg.

We will never even consider a long term stay place again. The pool had an inch of disgusting brown water in it, there were people roaming th outside area who appeared homeless and just hanging out, and the hallways smelled like smoke. The floor in our room was super sticky. It was disgusting. We packed up and left knowing we wouldn’t get our money back. Absolutely awful and so sorry we trusted your company to book us. Terrible experience. We had to go and pay for another hotel and it ended up being a very expensive experience!

I thought I booked 2 beds and got a one bed room for 3 people. The building was dirty and smelled like smoke. The room itself was sad. The carpet was stained and even through my shoes felt rough to walk on, no way I'd walk on my bare feet there. There were no products beyond a small soap and packet of shampoo/conditioner. No hair dryer. No USB ports for charging. The pool was not filled so it wasn't usable. Parking was limited to three small lots. Do not stay here if you can help it.

Booked 2 rooms. When part of our party arrived they were told that one of the reservations was cancelled and the pool was not open. The woman admiitted there were several things wrong with the information online, stating that a lot of it was inaccurate. Apparently the pool had not been opened in a very long time and was absolutely disgusting. The pool was noted to be seasonal per the description however it should have been open during our stay.
But let's not forget that 1 of 2 reservations was canceled. When asked why, the lady said she did not know and that expedia (hotels.com) had cancelled it. Now I'm sure they just expect most people to accept that answer and scramble to find another hotel. NO. IF you make the mistake of booking this hotel and arrive just to be told it is canceled CALL EXPEDIA!! Call hotels.com. Call who you booked through. Your reservation was guaranteed through them. They have to fix it. And they will. All with excellent customer service. But really, save yourself the time and effort and do not book this hotel. The pictures look nothing like what you actuallly get.

Terrible! The pool was not in service. They provide no kitchen utensils for you. You only get hand soap and toilet paper. We booked two rooms that were suppose to have 2 beds in each room. Our rooms were in two different buildings. Yes I understand that it might have been the only rooms unvailable but rough when you have young kids with you. One room didnt even have a curtain! There were kids who road all over the driveway and had no reapect for you. One decided to give our vehicle and touch up and wrote his name on the back with something metal. Only one room had a pullout bed. And it had stains all over it. The walls were either wrote on, not cleaned or looked burnt. It was a terrible experience for us as a family. Hotels did NOT give an accurate description of the place.

Had a huge problem! Went to check-in and they told me my reservation was canceled. No other rooms available. My reservation was guaranteed. Had to scramble to find another hotel. Ended up paying more for the night than I had planned. Very upsetting, how did this happen!!!!

This place needs updated pictures! It is a joke!!! Trailer trash at its finest not somewhere you want to stay with a family when you are coming in from out of town!! When we got there the person at the front desk was trying to charge me twice and finally realized what I was telling her about I had already paid through Expedia and was trying to charge me a higher rate!!
Then we get our room and it’s not even the room we reserved we had a 2 bedroom and got a one queen bedroom for me my husband and my 2 kids!! Then I go back to the office and they had closed already and there is no number to call!! We try to make the best of the situation stating there was no smoking signs and in the contract it also said it yet the room and the hallways smell like cigarettes!!! There were pictures of pools inside and outside yeah NO POOLS!!! We had extra friends with us roaches in the room!!! The next day we checked out didn’t even stay the extra night so we lost out on $100 because of their no refund policy!! This place is ridiculous seriously I will NEVER stay here and Expedia you definitely need to double check the places you want to post as hotels!!

After driving 5 hours from Michigan, they called me 10 mins before I arrived which I could not get to the call when I called back the phone just hung up twice. In getting to the hotel they said they were booked full and no rooms. We ended up in a unit that was I hope being considered for remodel. Black mold in the bathroom, filthy carpets and stale smell through out the unit. TV did not work. Tub was clean and beds were ok, but I felt like I was getting pinched all night and when looking I found no bed bugs. Traveling with 2 puppies it is not easy to find a hotel that takes them. Totally a hotel I would never stay in again. It used to be a choice hotel but no longer.

Paid extra for a double bed and received a handicap room with one bed. No hair dryers. Didn't clean room and bring fresh towels between stay. The room was 75° very uncomfortable.

No dishes,no pots or pans, no utensils, no blankets, no mattresses on the pullout couch, no sheets and blankets for the pullout couch. The elevator was extremely nasty with a fowl smell. Upon arrival, the desk clerk said my reservation was canceled and attempted to turn me away like a couple of people before me. Only after getting upset and loud, I was given a room that I booked four months prior.

We drove 4 hours to attend an annual bowling tournament in Cincinnati. I booked this hotel based on the pictures and I wish I had done more research. This hotel is the stuff horror movies are made from.
Stench of previous lodger’s cig smoke was the first thing to hit us like a cloud. A/C didn’t work. Bathroom light didn’t work. No holder for toilet tissue. What they told me were bath towels were actually oversized hand towels.
But the coup d’grace … the family of cockroaches that greeted us when I opened the kitchen drawer. The dishwasher was full of moldy dirty dishes. But the refrigerator was clean. LOL
I had to have Hotels.com find me another facility. While I was in the lobby waiting for them to complete the task, a prostitute walked up to my husband, who was sitting in the car in the facility’s parking lot, and asked for a date!
The ONLY saving grace for the experience was that Hotels.com found us lodging at a nearby 5-star hotel. 20,000 stars to Hotels.com, and minus 20 to the power of 10 stars to Suburban Extended Stay.
By the way, I’ve learned that Suburban Extended Stay was part of the family of Choice Hotels (Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Quality Inn, etc.) This was certainly a bad “choice” on my part. Never again.
But thank you Hotels.com for saving the day!

The worst hotel experience in my life to date.It was so disgusting, I left; I refused to remain the last 4 days, although I prepaid. I would not bring my wife into such a filthy, unkempt place. I booked another hotel the last 4 days.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever seen! The couches were stained and tore up, the tv in the "front room" had a huge gash in the middle of the screen, there was gnats EVERYWHERE, the carpets looked unvaccumed, there was crayons all over the walls, some type of droppings on the ledges of the picture frames, the pillows didn't have pillowcases on all of them and the ones that did have some sort of brown stain on them, the toilet does not flush properly I was afraid it wasn't going to flush!, the fridge was all taped up, the floors were sticky like soda was spilt but never cleaned. My spouse and I ended up leaving within 20 minutes of checking in, she was crying because it was so disgusting! I took photos and made sure to share them with my friends and family so they could avoid spending money on a dump. Also, the lady at the front desk when asked if they had something to kill the gnats she said "here's an old towel" and rolled printer paper for me to squash the bugs! I was hoping for a fly/gnat trap. I honestly think everyone who stays here and has a bad experience and leaves early should be given back their money they wasted on this room, and be rebated for the additional money spent on a new place! (FYI when my spouse was getting the old towel and dog peed in the front lobby and the owner was screaming at the dog and threw it in a room and proceeded to yell at the dog that you could even hear it in the hallway! FYI the guy was a WORKERRRR!)
