The hotel was nice but I would not think it was a 4 star due to service, and look. It gave off a 2.5 to 3 star hotel. The all you can eat breakfast for $35 gives off a best western. Eggs, pork sausage, toast, bacon, egg and cheese omelet, cereal, and yogurt. Maintenance Did not get fan to work until last night of stay. For someone who stays at only 4 and 5 star hotels I would not recommend.

My children and I had a lovely stay at Accra Beach Hotel and Spa. We enjoyed the beach and the poolside. We had welcome drinks on arrival and were able to use the facility after check-out, including the hospitality room for showers. It was great money for value! I have stayed at Accra Beach Hotel before and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is old and in poor state. The workers were nice but the fact that you could charge nothing to your room was outrageous. You had to put down every day $50 on your credit card if you wanted this facility.
There was a terrible stench emanating from the guest room toilet which we complained about. They sent a supervisor who agreed with us. Then never heard from them again. No offer to change rooms was made to us. Eventually when we called back they said they needed to pour acid down the toilet and had to wait until we were gone. But they could have offered us another room. Just awful.

All in all we were very happy with our stay in an ocean view room with terrace. Good cleaning service. Good location, nice beach, nice pool, close to boardwalk, restaurants and coffee shops, across from a convenient little mall, near a pharmacy and urgent care medical center next door (if needed). Easy free parking for our rental car. We mostly ate out so cannot really comment on the food. We appreciated the option to book a hospitality room for 30 min the afternoon of our departure to allow for shower and change before heading for the airport.
With a few upgrades the hotel could be even better: why not invest in new showerheads and sufficient nice beach sunbeds for all and accord more attention to keeping the beautiful beach clean (removing the seaweed).

Ran down and the staff was not friendly at least to me I’m sure people of a different look had a great time. All the beach chairs were being held by a towel with no one in sight the same at the pool. Will not return or recommend. You island people should be ashamed of yourselves. You’re black too you know and not all white people have money. My accent shouldn’t determine my treatment. TF

check in time is meant to be 3pm but we did not get our rooms until 9pm

Great location with shopping and food options close to public transport which was easily accessible .
The rooms are upgraded and comfortable . The staff are pleasant.
More attention is required for the little thing's ie the pool steps had green moss, the pool chairs had mildew and the corridor carpet need vacuming. Plus my room was not cleaned until around 4 pm every day.

I booked pool side view and was downgraded to island view without reason. They offered free breakfast for my stay to compensate for this which was ok I guess.

This was our third time at the property and we always enjoy it. This time we saw significant decline in the upkeep of the property. Examples were electrical switch plates falling off wall, in room safe not working but the most frustrating part was that Expedia advertised our room with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony and charged us more. However the property said they have not been running in years. I’ve recommended Accra in the past to many friends but I am not able to any longer.

Terrible service. Very dated and tired hotel. Inconsistency with room re-supply of toiletry items. Great beach and use of beach chairs.

There was no ice!!!! We had to go hunting for Ice!!! No ice machines! Room was disappointing! We were put in the old section without a balcony. No working fan in the bathroom.There was no safe in our room either. The pool area was very nice, and it’s location with access to the boardwalk was also nice. Most staff were friendly.

We love the Rockley area and this was our 2nd time staying at this establishment. Well situated in rockley and walking distance to amenities. Decent pool and board walk access. They need to pay attention to the Gym. However we will definitely come again.

Front desk gave me a desolate room with non working phone, defective balcony door, no working bathroom outlet. Complained for 3 days. Tried to switch rooms on 1st day or upgrade but management avoided me at front desk. I was out almos all day everyday. I hated that room. Coloured people avoid room 108. Thank you

I loved how it was close to many things. It’s beachfront. Safe. The bar staff including Sylvester, Shaq, Fabian and Gregory were incredible!

The beach area is beautiful. The staff I dealt with were pleasant. The hotel room needs a refresh. Decor is out of date. Pool furniture is worn. I have been coming to the Accra for over 10 years plus and she is looking tired. Please put a fan in the elevator that is not in the lobby
Although I like the area I would probably look at another hotel when I return to Barbados

The guestroom decor was a little dated, but everything was clean and well kept. I liked that every room had a balcony. The front desk staff were always accommodating and helpful. Having a shopping plaza and pharmacy across the street was very convenient. Being able to walk to restaurants in the evening cut down on taxi costs. This property is in a safe, touristy area with lots of amenities nearby. The beach at Accra was beautiful. Not too crowded, very swimable, and clean.

I really wanted to give this review a higher rating but unfortunately the rating is based on the room not being ready at check-in (close to 2 hrs late). This is not acceptable for a 1 night stay. After waiting this length of time another room was assigned and sadly this room was not cleaned properly. For the price that was paid, the jacuzzi was also not working. This was for a very special occasion and although front desk staff really attempted to resolve the situation what was offered was not satisfactory based on the price paid. On another note, the grounds and easy access to a wonderful beach were some positives to note. And again, staff were pleasant to deal with it just appeared there was only so much they could control.

Room was comfortable but service was poor at best. The wait times are bad, it felt very understaffed at the restaurant and bars. The place is a ghost town after 7pm, the lobby bar was very sterile.

Excellent pools and beach access, common areas very nice, staff brilliant, all let down by a room that was very tired even though many of the soft furnishings were quite new. Would we go again - yes at the right price!

Property is very very run down. People are rude. Staff is trying their best at the front desk but not much can be done or said. Needless to say I won’t return here and I’m sure they don’t want my business as they are receiving lots of customers through these cruise landings. Really bad hotels and Barbados in general is just full of rude people. Completely different experience from Bahamas.

Horrible hotel by no means a 4 or 5 2 at best Very Rudd at check in took 15 min to check in. I paid for a Jr suite with spa Got a deluxe room. An upgrade they say because all the spa ocean front rooms don’t work. I have an ocean view kind of. I paid for ocean front. Don’t say here. Horrible. I spoke with management. They blew me off. Rooms very out dated and dirty. Bed hard as a rock. I could have stayed at motel 6 and been happier. I’m going to complain to Amex. They will do something about it. Hotels .com won’t

The hotel is lovely, great spot for entertainment, shopping etc. however the actual hotel needs refurbishing. Room facilities need upgrading, only two hangers in the cupboard, no blanket on the bed, just the sheet set. Disappointed with the facilities.

The staff were very rude. If you are of Indian descent do not stay there. The workers treat you as if you are not a paying customer, seem to be upset if you ask questions. Good service only applies to the white demographic at this location.
