Hotel was overall in fairly poor condition. Workers were installing something in other rooms (new beds, perhaps?), but much of the hotel felt far past its prime. View from our window was of what looks like several wrecked vehicles on adjacent property. The entry door was incredibly difficult to open (warped or out of alignment) and the clerk was gone in the morning ("will return in 30 minutes") with no indication of when the 30 minutes began or would end. During this time the "breakfast" was essentially empty. Finally left and just scooted our card keys across the counter out of reach of other customers since there was no clerk and no drop box.

well, it wasn't really a Hotels.com issue. It was the hotel super eight Wyndham in Taos new mexico they were still cleaning the room when I got there at 5 PM and I came back in an hour. The door was wide open and the room is still filthy. I asked for a refund and never got it. I ended up going to another hotel down the street and pay the extra 50 bucks for the service

We were given a renovated room which had nice beds but the bathroom door closed poorly and was loud. The bathroom exhaust fan was loud and there was only a thin blanket on the beds.

Requested a first floor room. At check-in I was told they never received the request. The ice machine did not work, service was poor to not available. I would not recommend this hotel. The front door would also stick and even with your card, you couldn't get in.

This hotel and the people who run it are disgusting. We attempted to check into our room only to find the room a disgusting mess and the beds all tore up, and not even made when I complain to the front desk. They offered us a second room and took us in it to show us how nice it was, but it wasn't. It was tore up trashed and the beds all tore up again. Neither room was made up. They called the manager. Manager said well, give me a full refund and good luck. Finding another room. I've never been treated like this. I've never been so grossed out. They wanted us to wait while they made up the rooms. And we're not talking about at noon. We're talking about at 9 PM way past when they were supposed to be done. But after walking in seeing the room looking disgusted, nobody wants to go back again, Oh, it's nice now. No, it was terrible. It cost me $60 more to get another room. It was worth it. I would tell everybody that goes to this motel skip It go down the street to the Quality Inn.

Overall this hotel is a good solid stay. No frills, average all the way around. It's exactly what I paid for and I have no complaints. It's a bit dated, but safe.

It’s a clean, convenient, safe, friendly budget hotel. The building is a bit aged. Great service and full breakfast with waffles. Good for last minute or just economical. Walkable to other restaurants.

Stayed here because it was the only option left for New Years weekend. Arrived a little late to check in at normal time to be told rooms weren't ready. This was after watching 2 employees argue and fight in front of us. So we were asked to come back later. When we come back we're told we can have get in our rooms but they won't have towels til later. Overall rooms were dirty and old. Beds were loud and uncomfortable. Pillows were horrible. We never received turnover service or fresh sheets despite asking for it. Walls were thin and other guest were loud at all hours. Staff was not helpful or seemed to care to do anything. Breakfast seem to not have something every morning like Coffee but no creamer. Will never stay here again and only recommend to stay away.

The property is filthy. Our room was given to us without cleaning. While waiting for a substantial amount of time for it to be serviced, we heard and saw numerous other customers complaining with issues. The bathroom to the lobby was unavailable, internet was down indefinitely, room without heat, our room -once available- would have been perfectly adequate had we not had the lobby experience. The TV, however, did not work. Safety was a big concern of mine. I personally did not feel safe there. The main desk kept referring to our room number loudly. As a woman traveling alone with a young daughter, I did not care for that particularly in front of multiple groups of men. The woman at the front desk was calm and spoke nicely to patrons but her standard answer to literally everyone who approached her with a problem was that it wasn’t in her control or she couldn’t do anything.

Never seen such property in my life. Front desk lady gave me keys for another room and when I entered in the room someone was watching TV. Thank God he didn’t scream on me . Later the front desk lady said she is sorry and gave me another room. Breakfast is so cheap that the front desk lady only told us that everything is so cheap here. No one was eating the food because it’s so cheap and dirty. Owner should himself stay in this cheap place and make his family eat this food

Hotel was not well kept up. Hotel staff not the friendliest. Ran out of milk for breakfast, suggested to buy milk next day for breakfast, and answer was no wven though they had plenty of time to rectify the situation for their guest for next morning. Fire alam had a bandaid on it, not sure why. Walls had holes. I would not stay there again

It wasn’t too fancy but that was expected since it was so cheap. My room didn’t have a TV remote so she gave me one at the front desk when I asked about it. She didn’t know if it would work. I googled it and was able to program it to the TV. Both nights when I came back to the room at the end of the day my room key didn’t work and I had to get it re-programmed. Everything else worked, they kept it clean and the employees were nice.

All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The toilet in our room was found to have not been flushed after previous use when we entered our room for the first time.

Run down. Fan didn't work in bathroom. One light fixture in room and only one side of it worked. Bathroom door so warped that it wouldn't close. Mold on ceiling above tub. Water damage on bathroom ceiling. Breakfast room had 7 tables and only 7 chairs. Overflowing garbage containers outside and garbage on ground. Front door to lobby was really jammed, very hard to open. Side door to hotel did not lock.Thankfully, the bathroom was clean. The lady that checked us in was very, very nice.

Just a quick stay due to an early morning event in Taos. First I want to say that the staff was wonderful — this was a last minute arrangement due to a reservation at another hotel in Taos (part of a generally respected chain, actually) falling through and some pretty bizarre behavior from *their* staff... So it was really nice to get in late and still be greeted by a really friendly and efficient desk agent. That was great. The motel is in kind of rough shape — I didn’t feel unsafe or anything but it was definitely a little worse for wear in some ways that weren’t ideal (tried to turn the fan in the bathroom on for a shower and it was 1. falling apart and 2. made a horrible screeching sound… the hallways also seemed kind of generally dingy) The room itself was clean and seemed like there had been some recent updates, though.

Wyndam should drop this line of hotels. We booked two Super 8 hotels on this trip. The one in Durango was clean and in good repair. The one in Taos Is probably the worst hotel we have EVER stayed in. Building is beat up, furniture in lobby and rooms is beat up, carpets and drapes are dirty, the doors to the maids closet are coming off the hinges, the toilet paper holder is coming off the wall and there is a car in the parking lot with the back two wheels up on cinder blocks. We arrived too late to go somewhere else, or we would have.

The sheets were too small for the bed so they kept slipping off. The bathroom fan sounded like a continuous blender. The smoke alarm was right over the bed & flashed throughout the night. Breakfasts didn’t have any protein but peanut butter, bread was stale. Building was old & needed some attention.

Staff was excellent here; helpful with arranging rooms. We had inadvertantly not reserved for our first day's stay but were put at ease and given a suite for a discount. Motel was reasonably convenient to all we wanted to see and do. Good value.

Clean, ample supply of towels. Our heater/air conditioner was not working properly. The bathroom mirror was cracked in half. The shower was dangerous. The drain couldn't keep up with the water flow. The guests were noisy late into the night
