It was fantastic! From our first encounter with Conchi Fortes at the registration desk we knew we chose the right hotel. It’s a lovely place. The views are great. Their breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff are all ready to help you. Stay here,

There was a problem when we first arrived to check-in - our booking did not appear to be in their system - however this was eventually sorted out (took about 20 minutes) and we were given an upgraded room. After that all was mostly good. Room and bathroom were good size, with comfortable bed - though air conditioning didn’t seem to work well / at all for cooling, so it was uncomfortably hot at night (and this was January). Restaurant had good choice for breakfast & dinner (buffet), though food was not always very warm. On-site parking (we pre-booked) was easy & reasonably priced. Lounge bar had nightly entertainment (though didn’t begin until 9.30pm). Spa massage treatment was great, but does need to be booked a day or so ahead. Staff friendly & helpful.

I told the staff that I want the bedsheet changed everyday, BUT it never happended. They did not change our bedsheet for the 3 night stay we had.

Property was very clean, foyer and level nicely decorated and presented, room dated bathroom and bedroom could do with being refurbished. The level was not manned on a regular basis, tv in bedroom did not work no signal reported this to staff on numerous occassions. Food at lunch time in main menu always cold not a great variety to choose from either. The snacks on the level very basic not much to choose from. Entertainment very good, staff at main reception, bar and food staff very pleasant and helpful, found one member off staff on the level very unhelpful quite dismissive and could not get away from you quick enough. This is the third Melia hotel i have stayed in and would have to say it does not compare to the others.

Decent hotel however we came for a spa break. The spa is only open Wednesday-Sunday which we didn’t know. Also it closes at 2pm until 4pm. You are unable to use the spa facilities for the whole day which when you go out of season would have been nice considering the outside pools are not heated. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Dinner time was disappointing as was also a buffet and the food quality was not great. We ate out for dinner. Bar was nice however it was very cold throughout the days and nights with heating only going on one night in the bar. Staff however were lovely and room was good. Would look at staying somewhere else next time due to some of these reasons.

I just wanted to sleep in. But starting from 7, there was noise from outside and then shortly after, the sounds of housekeeping inside.

I booked this property as I was traveling alone for the first time and thought it would well located for shops etc. I can say I was not disappointed the hotel was fabulous, location could not have been better and as a lone traveller I felt totally safe and welcomed.

Hotel provides bear minimum for guests room has no amenities and no toiletries at all and all they offer is bed and bath and hand towels

Nice lobby, but that was it. Rest of the hotel hopelessely needs renovation. Really bad sound/noise from street and hallway.
Restaurant is crowded and with very little variation. Not even water is complimentary for fullboard. No vegan/vegetarian proteins made available.
Pool area is situated inbetween the two hotel buildings, meaning the sun will set early afternoon. Pool water not heated, thus ice cold. No other activities available to kids.
As an Amex Platinum I was upgraded to Gold member. However this was never noted during stay in any way. Gold members are not allowed in the lounge area, this is connected to room type.
Overall a disappointment in many ways.

No English channels on TV, needed to request tuning up the system to at least BBC news given fresh fact of the Gasa-Israel war... No other English channel whatsoever. And nothing was done until guest manager involvement...
I saw many other British tourists around - same complaint.
Magnetic entry cards are weak and we needed to return back to front desk for 6 times during 5 days stay; obviously there is a problem with those.

The staff are really helpful and friendly. Hotel in excellent location to shops and restaurants and opposite the beach.Great entertainment in the evenings.

The hotel is right on the beach. Staff are friendly and welcoming! Steps to up town are next to the property but be prepared for a work out! Very few amenities in room! To ask for a cork screw - 8€!!! Ouch! Otherwise a pleasant stay!

Frequency stuck waiting for lifts. Ten mins from room in one block to next. Felt that sectioning off the best seats on terrace was an ugly money-grab. Left a bad taste.

The location and the hotel are perfect for your summer vacation. This is my third time in this hotel and no regrets because is one of the best around the Costa del Sol of Spain.

I was food poisoned with fever, while I ate and drank in the hotel.

On rooms, Air Conditioning is automatically ajusted to work / offer a temperature of 26°C (78°F). This temperature cannot be moved.
As personal opinión, this is a wet temperature that makes you swest, and don't have a comfortable sleeping.
People from the lobby and technitians couldn't make anything to hab ve a cooler room. ☹️

Staff went out of their way to help. Beach just a few yards away and was very clean. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much to choose from and well organized.
The only downside which was not too important was the fact there was no complimentary tissues in room and no slippers or bathrobes which one would expect from a 4 star hotel. Good location and quiet.

Good hotel, but focus on details could have been better. We stayed for week. The restaurant and sun bed area on the beach was closed the first 4 days.
Reception promised to fix my door lock every day, but was only done the last day.

We were placed in the ‘second’ hotel on the site which was a long walk from the car as the direct access doors were locked which meant walking all the way round …also you had to get 2 separate lifts to access the rooftop pool as there was no chance of getting a lounger at the main pool due to every lounger being ‘reserved ‘ by 0900 every day.
Keycard to room failed every day for the 3 days we were there which meant another long walk back to reception to get the key card re activated ….
For the price we paid I feel this was not value for money and I have stayed to many much better Melia’s.

We loved the pool and bar on the roof top, service was excellent. Comfortable lounge chairs and kept very clean and tidy.
The buffet breakfast that is included was excellent too. We loved hotel Melia; the background music was so relaxing and the lovely aroma in the hotel was so pleasant.

A fantastic stay. All the amenities you would want in a very spacious hotel. The surrounding area was ideal for us with a range of shops, restaurants and activities.

The roof top terrace, pool and bar was a great space for adults only, mostly quiet and relaxing although the back ground music played was a little dull

Impressive hotel in a great setting. My trip was in the off season, so I didn’t get to use all the facilities. Breakfast buffet was impressive, but so spread out, although o can understand why when the diners are so numerous. My main gripe about the hotel was the level of noise from the elevator, hallway, other rooms and housekeeping- there appears to be no soundproofing or noise reduction on the floors.
