We had a really nice midweek stay for some spring skiing. The hotel is ultra-convenient being just a few steps from the lifts. Love the outdoor hot tub and all the little shops and amenities nearby.

Charged my card 20$ days after checking out for a couple water bottles they left out on the counter top. Spent 300$ for a night for the room and was surprised they rip off the guests like that after they’ve already spent good money to stay.

Very convenient property if skiing, well kept with friendly staff.

We had a great stay--if anything too short. The only two small critiques would be to have been to have a little more parking for guests, (with all the snow it was difficult to find a space big enough for a pickup) and benches or somewhere in the locker room to put on boots. We were told there was a spot but it wasn't obvious to us and it wasn't in the locker room. The staff was great, Harrison at the front desk was lovely to deal with, very friendly and professional.

Sugarloaf is where it's at if you want a true Maine experience. Excellent hotel. Great staff. Very clean. Daily housekeeping (which is rare these days). Will be back.

My wife and I enjoyed the convenience of the main lodge close in proximity to the hotel.Loved the food at the Bag and Kettle!
Only suggestion would be to have more breakfast and lunch and dinner choices restaurant wise. Also, maybe entertainmentv for those of us that visut early week.

About a two-minute walk from the ski locker room (each room is assigned a locker). We booked a superior room that is a cirner room. They are roomy, comfortable with a small kitchenette (no stove). The rooms have good soundproofing.

Hospitality was sorely lacking. Needed to book a room for a second night. I was being helped by a trainee that could not complete the transaction. A manager took ove and decided they could not rent me the room for one night. She called reservation and they finally deciddd to book. Showed no concern for someone staying at the hotel.

I stayed there for a week. There is no ventilation in the room. I was at room 214. Me and my boyfriend a really bad sore throat and heat rashes during the stay. My body is still recovering a week later. I feel so dry inside and out my body. It really affected me and I really hope they do something about the ventilation. The air was dry and still.

Staff was friendly and helpful, our room was clean and a very good size and the resort had plenty of offerings for food and shopping to keep anyone happy.

A great place to spend a few days. We appreciated that the property is basically a tiny village with everything you need. We didn’t leave the property in three days, but with the dining, drinks, shops, and entertainment options, we never felt bored. We enjoyed finding the unique gems like the wine and cheese shop, Cork & Rind, owned and run by local farmers. Thankful for a wonderful trip.

About as close as you can get to ski in/out lodging on the mountain.

It was my first visit to Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel, and what a wonderful spot, right at the base of the mountain. Friendly staff. Tasty restaurant on site. Constant availability of complimentary lemon water, tea & hot chocolate next to a cozy fireplace in the lobby. It was fun being there for opening weekend and I can't wait to visit again in the winter!
However, next time I will NOT book through Expedia as I learned priority is given to those who call directly to make reservations. For example, my booking of a "superior room" landed me on the first floor (it was still a spacious, quiet room but for my first visit there I'd wanted a view of the mountain or valley, not the parking lot). Plus, getting breakfast included in the room rate is not an option when booking through online travel apps. Gotta respect the Mainers' offering perks for registering old school!

This is easily the best hotel in the area. It is very clean and well run, with an excellent staff. The rooms are a little dated and have some issues (i.e. our bathroom door didn't close and latch). Yet, a very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Definitely a 3.5 star type hotel.
