The apartment was spacious and very nice for a family of three persons. A perfect stay on the island, I don't know what could be improved. Thanks to all the staff for helping in any situation.

Compass point always delivers! Good comfortable stay and service with on-site dive operator ocean frontiers. Diving has world class service. The condo hotel itself is basic but clean and in a beautiful setting.

dive staff was great and the diving was great as well

The property is located in a very safe and beautiful area of the Cayman Islands. The restaurant onsite was great, staff all around the resort was super helpful and very friendly. Ajay (sorry if I mispelled) was so nice and friendly, Clara was amazing, Evan provided great customer service - Sergi and Ben who took us to the Singray sandbar adventure, were great! Highly recommend staying at compass point. You'll need to rent a car if you want to tour around the island. This place, ammenities, cleanliness, and staff were fantastic!

The property was quiet and charming. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great staff. Very nice facilities. Made diving a pleasure

Property was away from the “touristy” area of the island. Property is terribly outdated. The pictures on the website CERTAINLY do NOT match what you see there. Virtually NO BEACH to speak of.

Lovely property and the staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Gorgeous rooms and location. We couldn't have asked for a better stay as we returned with our two kids to show them around Grand Cayman 17 years after our honeymoon.

Compass Point is a beautiful oasis! Very relaxing and peaceful. The place is clean and kept up well. All of the staff, from sive instructors, office, restaurant, and cleaning staff were amazing and were all about helping us enjoy our stay

Beautiful accommodations. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever you need.

Great Staff! Little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Nice and quiet with easy access to diving. Boat rides are pretty short and the snorkeling trip (3 sites) was nice. Couple tips:
Try Taco for dinner (Tues / Thurs are BOGO)
Snorkeling down the road at the dock at Morrit's has some nice fish and really large tarpon (5ft plus)

The hotel was spacious, extremely clean, great kitchen, very quiet. Great restaurants right there as well.
The Ocean Frontiers team was fabulous. My daughter and I have never been snorkeling, and we were both very nervous. Even though I think the staff are used to more experienced divers and snorkelers, they were so accommodating, professional and friendly we were comfortable enough to try it out and had a fabulous time.

Although we are not scuba divers, we loved this dive resort in the less populated East End. The accommodations are comfortable, furnished with everything you need (full kitchen, washer and dryer, etc.), and the front desk staff patiently answer questions and register you for snorkeling and other trips. The large lagoon is beautiful and has several reef sites. A small open-air restaurant has very good food and service and couldn’t be more convenient. You can’t take long walks along the beach here and there is not a swimmable beach in front, but there are sandy areas at the edge of the water for relaxing in hammocks and loungers. We had an ocean front unit and a wonderful view of the ocean. All in all, comfortable and relaxing, with opportunities for various trips by boat.

Overall it was great the Ocean Frontier staff was wonderful too

Compass Point Dive Resort surpassed my expectations. It was super clean, modern with very comfortable beds. Pool and hot tub were in excellent condition. Family dive vacation. Full kitchen. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the condo, then walking to our dive boat. All our dive equipment was set up and waiting for us. Ocean Frontiers did an excellent job. We had a few 20 mph windy days. Their custom dive boats 48' long, 16' beam handled the seas very well and we enjoyed the diving every day! Service was excellent. Will definitely recommend Compass Point/Ocean Frontiers to friends and family!!

Staying at Compass Point Resort was just like being at home except home doesn’t have a view like that. Loved waking up to that view and having a cup of coffee on the balcony.

Really nice rooms. Friendly staff. Need to rent a car to get there and get around. Restaurant was good, though outdoors and mosquitos were hungry too. Overall great stay and I’ll be back.

For the serious Diver. Ocean Frontier Divers is on site and EXCELLENT. We received our certification there and spent the rest of the week diving. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment which truly made us feel right at home. There were also 2 Murphy beds. It was so nice after hours of diving to come home and have plenty of room to relax. So much better than a Hotel room. |Grocery store was just down the road. It is on the East end of Grand Cayman so If you want to be able to walk out of your room and into the water for snorkeling, probably best to stay at 7 Mile Beach. This is a rugged, rocky coastline but we LOVED it . It was so peaceful and a bit secluded. but yet close to so many things. Loved the hammocks next to the water. so relaxing.RENT A CAR for easy get around. Close to The Blowholes, Bodden Town, and several miles but easy travel to Rum Point where you will enjoy great snorkeling, eating, and where different tours leave from, including Stingray City. There is a restaurant on site that has some really great food! All the staff is excellent and so very helpful. What a wonderful relaxing time we had. Will definitely be back.

This is the second time staying at this resort. LOVE IT. Spacious, clean and with ocean views. AND, in my opinion, next to one of the best restaurants on the entire island.

As long as you don’t expect a swimming beach, Compass Point is truly a friendly, relaxing place with super courteous staff and wonderfully well maintained condo-style rooms. If you’re a diver, this place and Ocean Frontiers (their on-site dive operator) is wonderful concierge style diving. They will spoil you!

From when we checked in to when we checked out, we completely enjoyed our stay! Very clean and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the quiet and not as busy like the West side of the island. Would highly recommend this place!

The resort was awesome!
Super friendly staff.
Great dive shop and guides!

Great place to stay! Diving or not. The East side of the island is so much more authentic and laid back. This is not 7 mile beach and the crowds that come with it...which is a GREAT thing.
The room was great! Clean and fully stocked. Onsite restaurant had an amazing grilled lion fish (the only place we could find where it was grilled and not breaded/fried).
Diving operation was amazing and spoiled me for all future dives.

This was a dive trip The service was truly valet diving. The room/condo was beautiful. The only problem is that this place is way out of the way on the East End. You must have a car. We rented one for a couple of days to get groceries. There are only two restaurants within walking distance, one of which is Mexican. The dining is limited.

The unit we stayed in at compass point was beautiful, spacious, recently updated and well maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly. Have no bad things to say about it. East end is far away from all the hustle and bustle of Georgetown and is very low key but enjoyably so. The diving offered by ocean frontiers is excellent as well. I’d highly recommend compass point and ocean frontiers.

We had a great time at compass dive. It is convenient to several restaurants, an easy drive to groceries, and good for exploring the quieter side of the island, including the botanic gardens, the blow holes, and even up to Rum Point. The staff Could not be better we loved Brit and James, who always gave us great recommendations. The condo/ apt was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. Sunrises are amazing. Last but not least, the snorkeling and kayaking was fabulously fun.

I didn't like the restaurant or the dive shop that was onsite.

Off the beaten path is the only way to go in my book. Far from the crowds around Seven Mile Beach, this dive resort is great for non-divers too like us. Walk out patio directly onto a beach with direct full view of the ocean. Strong fast wifi and a fully equipped kitchen saved a lot on food. We only ate out twice during our 4 day stay and stocked up supplies from Hurley's. Staff was friendly and we were treated to a free dinner and beer anniversary party celebrating 22 years for CPDR. My wife says she will never stay at a noisy cramped hotel again. Highest recommendation.

Super relaxed location in the middle of Grand CI east end.
Ocean Frontiers / Compass Point Resort folks are really easygoing and helpful.
One drawback ,there were lot of small bloodthirsty mosquitoes

The condo was right on the beach. Clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very professional and took care of us. This was my Boy friends first diving experience and the first dive was in 25 knot winds. They took him under their wing and made us feel comfortable. The ocean Frontier was very generous to give our money back for dives we couldn't make due to weather or illness as long as we canceled day before and they set us up with another place for sting ray city after they had canceled due to weather. We would go back in a heartbeat. Plenty of towels and full kitchen supplies.

Secluded, great ocean views, place has a kitchen and extra bed. Loved our stay. You will need to bring your own shampoo. Suggest stopping by a grocery store before getting to the lodge. I will definitely stay again.

We came down here for a scuba certification and walked into paradise. Our room faced the water on the ground floor and there was plenty of space to stretch out and truly relax. Beautiful room, nice kitchen, even a jacuzzi tub, very kind and professional staff...could not have asked for a better experience. Eagle Rays on site was so convenient for a bite of lunch, dinner or just a cold beverage while overlooking the diving dock.

My wife and I travel to a warm, beach area every February. This was our first trip to Cayman. We picked Compass Point for 2 reasons: 1.) the pictures showed it to be very scenic, close to the water and nice acommodations and 2.) it was really far away from the more touristy Georgetown / 7 Mile Beach area. The resort is about 30 minute by car from the airport. The staff was friendly, it was quiet, the restaurant was very good (the lion fish tacos were excellent), it was very laid back and relaxed. We would go there again for sure.

Peaceful, quiet east location. Perfect for divers. While we are not divers we still enjoyed this quiet resort. Rooms are more like condo suites. Very well appointed with full kitchen and in room laundry. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Overall it is a place we will stay at again in the future.
2.5
The resort was lovely and the staff provided great service. Our dive gear was picked up from our room and setup on the boat for the dives that we booked through Ocean Frontiers. Kayaks are available to paddle out to reefs off the shore, although one needs to be replaced. Grand Cayman's shoreline is mostly coral, so swimming is best at local beaches. You could wade in from the sand at Compass Point, but there is seaweed and rock. Public beaches are only a short distance. Seven mile beach and Georgetown are a 45 minute drive. Prices in that area are deceptively higher, many resorts advertise their ocean front location but still do not offer beaches with swimming conditions. We were glad that we chose to stay on the quiet East End in a nicer part of the island. The Kittiwake dive from Georgetown and the Stingray City snorkel trip from Rum Point require a car or cab. Other resort highlights included a washer dryer in the unit and the on site restaurant Eagle Rays. In general food on the island is not world class, but the local seafood offerings like lion fish are delicious. Since the room offered a full kitchen, we packed some food and bought the rest from Fosters grocery stores. The vacation was amazing overall, and we felt that the resort provided everything that we needed to enjoy our stay.
