Good value for money hotel. A bit tired in places , a few places to eat and drink near by.

It would have been nice to have been warned about the wedding party on the second night of our stay, the room was so warm but you couldn't open the window as we were above the wedding reception and disco. It was exceptionally noisy until 12am and children running down the corridors. Guest had no respect for others staying in the hotel.

We've stayed at this hotel several times now and have never been disappointed. All the rooms we have been allocated have overlooked the river and one has a lovely balcony. Service has always been very good with the staff being friendly and helpful. Breakfast has plenty of choice and the cooked breakfasts are fresh and tasty. We have also had a couple of meals, again, these have been very nice. Never had a problem parking the car in the hotels allocated spaces. Overall i think this hotel offers excellent value for money.

Lovely stay overall. Friendly staff in the bar. Hotel is in a beautiful location. Hotel could do with an update as it is a lovely place, just a bit tired.

The stay was very nice and close enough to both Thorpe park and LEGOLAND which is what we needed

At 9:16 in the morning, staff knocked my door and asked to check out. Then asked further: “when you check out?”
I thought I was packing and nearly done (I left around 9:40), but having stayed so many over 200 hotels, this is the first time I have the stars knock on the door ask to check out, at 9:16am.

One of the kind experience when you, along with your family, tired as dogs, roll into the room just to find out that everything is out of order. That's it..EVERYTHING! Cannot charge your phone (outlets are kaputt), cannot flush your toilet, cannot take shower. Obviously, no AC. Cannot even use the Internet to find some deal to get out of that godforsaken place. Had to step all the way to the Reception area to get some kind of a signal. Receptionist was empathetic, but completely helpless. I mean, I realize the place is old as dirt..but come on, one's experience doesn't have to be that miserable. Nice location though.

Requested a twin room, was allocated a double. Needed to change rooms, poor cleanliness. Asked for a refund and was refused.

Very spacious room. Good shower above the bath. Towels provided daily. Oil filled radiator available. Bed sheets changed daily. Lots of cupboard room for hanging clothes, and plenty of drawers for storing items.

While the hotel is a little 'tired' the owners are in the middle of refurbishment. The room and bathroom were clean and two minor issues, once pointed out, were dealt with quickly. All the staff were lovely with nothing too much trouble. Including the excellent maintenance team. The food was very good and served up piping hot. They even allowed us access to the restaurant at a time it was unusually closed so we could have a meal with friends we hadn't seen for years. Excellent customer service. We look forward to staying with them again and seeing the completion of their renovations.

It was okay I got over charged on the 1st day when I payed for my room which left me short of money for my weekend, they were very apologetic and did a refund but I didn’t get that until the Tuesday, we were on family get together for my uncle’s 75th Birthday, some had travelled from Ireland they only kept the bar open later on the last night which was a bit disappointing and lost the lodge money as the rounds were between £60-£70, it was clean and warm.

Our pillows smelt of someone’s greasy head, so hadn’t been washed from previous people, bathroom tap constantly trickling and tap turns around , and toilet didn’t flush properly, breakfast was ok but overpriced for a small plate, and it was so quiet when eating some gentle background music would be nice so we couldn’t here the other people eating and their conversations, young staff were lovely, overall we won’t be back.

Very happy with our stay, all the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a very tasty breakfast. Our bedroom was very clean with comfortable beds in our family room

Well located for the area we were visiting, free parking on site and nearby. good rate via Expedia. We were given a room at the top of the building with a lovely river view which was a bonus. Room was basic but clean and functional. Good shower pressure but hard to adjust temperature as the control was really stiff. Breakfast was really nice. Full English was hot and well cooked. Overall it was decent value For the price we paid.

The staff were superb and very friendly. The room was not clean clean. It was not noise proof. Hardly got ant sleep due to a very noisy couple in the next room

Lovely receptionist very friendly. Decor is very dated, windows didn’t open in the room. Shower curtain was half way in the bath so liked to stick to you. I think the owners should stay in all rooms and then they can see for themselves.

I had a budget travellers room but something for everyone. Wonderful Thameside location. Cheerful helpful staff

Lovely location. Property a little tired with decoration and furniture quite dated. This reflected in the price that we paid though. Breakfast was really good and good quality produce used in cooked breakfast we had. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Great for the money. Good location. Clean room but no remote for TV (not a big deal) taps soooooo slow! Bed bit soft and worn. Very shabby furniture and fittings BUT saying all that it was warm and comfortable and full filled our needs. Just giving an honest review.

I have seen some of the other reviews. Yes this is an older property and some parts are a tired but it is clean, comfortable and at the price with breakfast, free parking good WiFi it is very good value for money.
I would stay here again and all the staff were friendly.

Pleasantly located hotel on a quiet backwater of the Thames with convenient parking. Bar and restaurant serving dinner with good selection of meals and full cooked breakfast. Functional room with all necessary amenities. The floors were a bit creaky with a little noise from other rooms but not a big issue and very comfortable bed.

The location is beautiful and my room was large and well appointed but the building needs an upgrade from old fashioned decoration and some lack of maintenance. Staff were pleasant

I enjoyed the garden grounds and walkable area on the way to the shops.
Beautiful boat launch behind the Inn with plenty of benches.
Food was excellent.
Very close to airports.
I will return and recommend.
Lots of history.

The hotel is very welcoming and the staff are lovely. However, it does need some maintenance. We were in the annexe part and the door was hard to close. One day when we returned we found our door open as the cleaner had obviously not closed it properly.

Standard facilities, but the rooms are a bit tired with much wear and tear. Shower was warm enough but not hot at any point.

The bathroom is a mine field, slipped a few times in the bath taking a shower, on stepping out of the shower stepping onto a mat there was no anti slip tiles also slipped very dangerous ( perhaps a risk assessment should be done )
The toilet had not been cleaned properly underneath the seat was as a disgrace...
No plug sockets either side of the bed for chargjng my phone the only double socket available was by the dressing table. One of which was covered by the dresser..
Also the bed kept moving as i sat or leaned against it ....and not very comfortable...left with back ache..
I waited 25 min for dinner and when it came the skin on fries were burnt to a crisp..the food was unappetising and tasted bland....
There was no etiquette or customer service , i was not asked did i enjoy the meal to which i would of told them about the chips however it was very clear to see they were burnt as i had left them on the plate.....it was just taken away .
I thought prices were far to expensive ive stayed in many a hotel and these are quite steep ....
On arrival the guy on reception was on the phone and doing stuff on the computer i waited a few minutes while he was sorting things out which i undestand what needs to be done however there was no apology.. I needed reception a few times no one was available i had to call for attention.....parking is a nigmare .....
