Always a nice stay here. The toilet ran all night but rather than that we had a nice time and it was super clean and cozy

The cottage itself had a good layout and the bed was very comfortable. That is the positive. Negative sides: The stove was filthy, one burner didn't work, stove itself didn't work. For having a kitchen set up, it had one cup. No sponges and when I went to locate a sponge, mgmt said they would look for one, no response. The place needs a deep clean as the shower floor was disgusting, and vents on the bathroom floor had dead bugs lodged in it. Fan blades are filthy. The futon in the living room needs to be replaced if they are going to use it as a couch. You can't sit on it, no backing to hold you up. The cottage is located behind the main motel, there were insufficient parking spaces for the 3 cottages and penthouse.

Had a wonderful stay. A hidden gem in blowing rock.

We usually stay at The Village Inn when we are in Blowing Rock. I feel like we got duped this time around. We normally stay in one of the cottages, but none were available. We booked the family suite, which boasts a "separate bedroom". It was basically a regular room with a couch shoved in the room. None of the regular rooms are described as having a "separate bedroom". Why call it a suite if it's no different than a regular room? A suite is defined as a "set of rooms". The room was so cramped that the couch can only be turned into a bed if we moved it in front of the door. I had to climb over the couch to get into bed. The description of the room was not only misleading, it was false. We were very disappointed. I know The Village Inn can do better than this.

Location and cleanliness was fine. The room smelled musty and I felt the advertising was nicer than the actual property and room. I was dissapointed that the lounge was not encouraged to be used as the big screen was not in working condition. For an Inn I expected a lounge and restaurant.

This property is very charming. Loved the big comfortable bed and the shower water pressure was awesome. It is also walkable to Main Street. The grounds are lovely with a pond in the back and it is also pet friendly. The reason for the 4 star is because the air conditioner was not working in our room. Had it running all night and still not cooling.

Its just okay. Clean and staff friendly.

Loved the peaceful back porch with rocking chairs.

It is an older motel and it was cold and windy. Windows weren’t sealed real well and heater struggled. Clean though.

The room is just enough for a quiet time away. You are close enough to downtown that you can walk from your room without worrying about parking.

Very relaxing and quiet.

We arrived to a room that had hair in the bathroom, no hangers and window coverings that did not work. The gal at check-in was pleasant but unable to provide dinner recommendations other than a pre-printed handout. She did call us a bit later to see if we had settled in. I shared my dissatisfaction. She was apologetic.Bed was soft and thin walls unable to mask Bigfoot snoring from adjacent room.

It was small but clean.

Not what we expected! The add photos are not a good representation, no activity in the lobby, fire place not used, lobby closes early. Out dated room, mattress worn out, tiny room/ bathroom, kept awake for 4 nights from noisy neighbors, foot traffic on wooden walkways, trucks on hwy. Unable to use rear porch due to rotting leaves & apples on deck. The staff was pleasant and tried to assist but apparently are not properly equipped, we had to ask for towels, wi-fi & cups. The room smelled musky, I threw out old used up damp rid bag, upon asking for a replacement the owner advised that she is not replacing them! Noisy ac/heater that was difficult to operate. The new owner is running this Inn into the ground!

Clean. Super comfy beds. Great water pressure in nice shower. Cute deck out back, with nice chairs. Retro-cabin vibes, with actual keys for the doors.

The Village Inn is very conveniently located and is a small, comfortable room for a few days over in Blowing Rock. Nothing to knock your socks off. It's just a decent bed, tv, and bathroom.

We needed a place for one night that didn’t cost a fortune, not concerned with all the fancy things as we were in a hiking trip. This stay was surprisingly comfy. It was quiet overnight, clean, and we felt safe and welcomed. some updates done but is definitely an older style mountain in. Lovely back porch area as well. Great for a weekend stay.

We had an issue with our fridge when we first arrived. The staff was attentive and swift in switching out the fridge and making sure we had everything we needed!

We loved our cottage, very cozy and quite.

This is a Motor Inn. Not that obvious from the pictures. Also, if you are in the mountains, you would like mountain views. The view is the back of the property and the parking lot beyond it. The bed was extremely soft and the entire place smelled like mildew. It lacked much value relative to the price

It is an old motel that has been updated. But the room is very small we could not even bring in all travel needs to the room. There was an awful odor in the room we had to buy frebreeze in order to stay in the room the bathroom was tiny and no counter or shelves to put the items you need to use

I liked the mountain log cabin feel to the room. It had a nice back porch with rocking chairs over looking a little creek and woods. The lobby was pretty with the big stone fireplace. The staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. We would stay there again.

This is a nice inexpensive hotel. Well decorated and plenty of space. Patio on the back with a stream in the back of the property. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Nice easy walk to the town area where people are fighting for parking. Great space in the room. Comfortable king sized bed. Shower was spacious and there was a 2 person jet tub!

Pleasant and quaint inn, easy check-in. Very clean and comfortable. Nice alcove for reading andxsmall sofa in queen room. Coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave helpful as we packed picnic and "road food" for exploring along BRP. Pet-friendly and nice walk to Blowing Rock Ale House (where we could take our pup.) Creek behind property and lovely pond in front
