The older rooms are in need of a refresh but comfortable. The AC unit was very loud. The grounds are lovely.

It was a wonderful experience. We loved every thing about the history and the hotel. The food was amazing and I loved the market that they have in the town.

The resort was old, but well maintained. In fact, it was a beautiful example of old spanish architecture. The room was a suite with a fireplace and it was lovely.

The staff was friendly, and the food was very good! The bar had a good vibe. No wonder I couldn't find photos of the gym on their website - it is in need of a MAJOR overhaul! The if you don't "return your key to the front desk" and "pool towel" possible fines is a little bit of nickel & dimming that I hadn't seen at a "resort" since the 80's

The place is Amazing, very beautiful. Most of the staff is very friendly. If your ok with a receptionist who is in a bad mood all the time for no reason at all this is your place.

It’s a lovely resort. Our accommodations were nice.
However, the room is very dark; not enough lighting. And the water in the shower never got warm, much less hot. The shower also needs a door!

It’s the one place I love to go for a quick get away. The Hacienda suites are wonderful. I’m always amused by the cows on the golf course. The grounds are beautiful!

We have stayed at the resort several times. The resort is very pet friendly, they have a lot of grass & easy walking paths. The golf course was in excellent shape & their staff was very accommodating.

The grounds were beautiful with all the flowers.
The only thing that was not first class condition were the robes in the room. One was VERY used and frayed.
I loved the ambiance of the rooms, very comfortable and charming with the fireplace in each room.
The woman running the gift shop was very knowledgeable about Arizona and answered all of the questions that some of the tourists had from back east.
Definitely will stay there again!

I very seldom review a restaurant or hotel unless I am very happy or very disappointed with the experience. I sorry to say that is disappointment that pushed this review.
Let me say a few good things...the property was very clean and well maintained. The rooms nice in that southwest style that appeals to us...and is why we chose this hotel in the first place.
What really led to my disappointment was the very poor attitudes and treatment by almost every employee that we encountered on our stay.....from the clerk that checked us in to the waitresses in the restaurant.
The resort tries to get along on past awards and ratings, but because of employees treatment of guests those times are long gone. We love the area and will relocate to Tubac or Green Valley in the near future, and wish there was another comparable property to send our friends and guests to, but it won't be this one.

The hotel is located in a beautiful riparian area adjacent to a wonderful hiking trail. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The property is well-maintained. The breakfast menu at the hotel’s restaurant could use a serious facelift. Selections on the one page menu fall into just three categories — eggs, pancakes/French toast, and yogurt with fruit. New and more diverse items should be added. Examples include a bagel with lox, corned beef hash, oatmeal and dry cereal, etc When my wife asked for cream cheese for her toast, she was told it was not an item that the kitchen stocked. Our stay was wonderful, but breakfast selections are old, tired, and boring.

The Historical Feel was good. The property was very run down everywhere. The Restaurant Staff (waitress) lacked people skills. None at all actually.
