This place is lovely, the room make us feel in another time, this hotel make me feel that I will never get back to chain hotels, the mystery and elegancy of this place make us realize that small is better

This place had a very old feel to it. We upgraded to a balcony room on the second floor. Lots of staircases around the rooms. Very cool. Our balcony door kept opening in the night from the heavy winds so we thought. We read more about the hotel. There are many ghosts that haunt the space. We think maybe George was responsible for pushing our door open. We walked the halls and may have disrupted him. He doesn’t like to be bothered. Overall it was a great evening. You also have access to the partnering hotel down the road, Adrift. We used their pool and sauna. Wonderful. Got swimsuits from Dennis Ace Hardware. They keep them in stock year round. I recommend this place. We will be back. Thank you.

We had an amazing stay for our anniversary!! The staff was the highlight of the beautiful hotel; from the moment we entered, we were treated with kindness and generosity from everyone we met. The building itself is wonderfully preserved with an air of charm and warmth. Our room was 6, the attic room, and it felt like a getaway in the clouds. The Pub was delightful for dinner and it was easy to meet our particular food needs (gf/veg/sober) with the PNW cheese board, an n/a beer, and ginger beer.
We will absolutely be back and tell all our friends!!

Super cute hotel with a restaurant and game room in a convenient location in Long Beach

Just beautiful, this Hotel was built in 1896! Unique and charming and full of history. You can feel how special this place is. Plus you get to enjoy all the modern amenities of the Adrift hotel just down the road.

Our room was very small. The floors were very uneven. The lighting was very poor. When my wife tried to put the 2X6 in the window to keep it up it fell to the ground and almost hit a person. It seemed a little spendy for what it was.

Love this hotel! We had an excellent meal at the restaurant and enjoyed the pool, sauna and spa at the Adrift. Also close to Astoria, OR! This made for a relaxing rainy weekend baby moon that was perfect.

Very cool old building the staff were very good at there jobs.

No Air Conditioning is a negative for me, and the showers upstairs were old fashioned and very small. But overall I really enjoyed the historic feel to it.

We picked this hotel because it had a breakfast, dinner, and a bar. There is no longer breakfast. Dinner is actually just pub, food snacks, etc. The room does not have a coffee maker in it. The door to the outside deck broke, and we couldn’t open it.

Quaint charm. Nice staff. Food was fabulous! Stay away from bar. Drinks were way over priced! Well drinks were $10. An extra $4 more if you wanted it with some form of mixer. AKA coke, orange juice, etc.....$14 for a well drink in a short glass is Ridiculous!! Shower temperature fluctuated from hot to cold constantly.

This is an amazing property. In continuous operation since 1896 and meticulously maintained in its period state. It’s a rare gem, and it is blessed with a coastal setting to match. Not to be missed!

I was a fan of what was then called the Shelburne Inn -- granted, that was back in the '80s. So I was looking forward to spending two nights at the 'new' Shelburne Hotel while enjoying a 50-year college reunion with longtime friends. Sorry, Adrift (the locally owned chain of hotels/restaurants), but you have some major work to do, from some much needed hospitality training for the staff to ensuring that guests are aware of the narrow stairs to access the top floors. And no sign of any staff to help with carrying bags, etc. Also, why only breakfast on the weekends? And although I appreciate the fan in my 'attic room,' there were no windows that could be opened -- very uncomfortable in the 90F degree weather. This is a wonderful, historical building in Seaview, and deserves to have wonderful service and amenities.

Beautiful hotel built in 1896 with lots of history, and staff who are simply the best and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Loved the pub downstairs and the garden outside. The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants and a supermarket

This property features history (est in 1896) and charm. Very unique and quaint. You will not find an A/C, mini fridges or microwaves in the rooms and you’ll need to ask front desk for ice. However, some rooms offer original claw foot tubs and homemade sea salt bath salts. The rooms are quiet. Minus the background noises of those from the past and yes, the hotel is known for its spirits. The staff are very welcoming and personable. I would highly recommend a night at the Shelburne if you don’t mind a few visitors at night!

I love the idea of this place - it was quaint, cute, and just adorable. Unfortunately, I had a lot of trouble with the stairs, and grounds that caused me to trip and fall a few times. An “historic hotel” usually means no elevator, I get that, but the uneven steps, no in-room fridge, and a loud fan really just made it not as comfy as I’d wished. But it sure is cute!

It was 4th of July and not one American flag was flying, instead they had pride flags…on the 4th of July. Our place was nonrefundable and there was no where else to stay due to the holiday. This should be offensive to everyone, we would not be able to fly flags of choice without what the American Flag represents! Also it was $250 for a bedroom with a bathroom in a very old hotel, you can hear everything, including them vacuuming at 10 even though checkout was at noon. Staff was very friendly but that was the only positive.

I was so pleasantly surprised. I was on a solo trip and stayed in room #6 which had an entrance from inside the building and a private entrance, which I loved. The bed was cozy and I slept wonderfully. I was worried there would be noise but nothing. Beautifully decorated as well.
I ate dinner in the pub and it, as well as the service was wonderful.
My only complaint was that the coffee station was cold, but I really didn't need any more coffee and I didn't say anything so, I was good.
Beautiful building and an excellent location with a little store across the street for your needs.

My husband and I booked a two night weekend getaway to Seaview and were ecstatic to get a room at this hotel. From the get-go, the service was impeccable and Dede at the front desk was incredibly knowledgeable about the hotel history and the local events. We were greeted with a glass of champagne upon checking in and a run-down of the amenities, as well as things to do year round. The interior is beautiful and the stained glass is breathtaking. During our stay, they also decorated for Pride month, which made our stay even more comfortable. Our room was quaint, to say the least. It was not only spacious, but it had a private balcony, a claw foot bath tub, and wonderful, local shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The pub has impeccable food and we found ourselves eating in any chance we got. My husband is a professional chef and was blown away with every meal. We will definitely be returning, as this is our new home-away-from-home.

We have stayed at the Shelburne twice before.
This time, all the "Victorian" furnishings had been replaced by ugly "mid-century modern" furnishings.
We will NOT return.

Very historic property. The oldest continuous use hotel in the state of Washington. Very interesting though. Some floors were uneven and stairs also. Does have an old pub on the property.
