We celebrated our 38th anniversary. This is our 5th stay at a RIU property. We like staying at the RIU because of the consistency of cleanliness and service. We arrived on May 26th around 4pm. After checking in and getting settled in our room, we went to the buffet for dinner. The food was delicious. They served Lobster tails. I don’t know what happened. But something I ate that night made me horribly sick. I spent the next 2 days unable to eat or drink much of anything. For that reason alone, I will have to think twice before staying at a RIU again.

I was a little disappointed at check in. I had reserved a hand cap room for my parents and a room with double beds for my son and nephew. The rooms were not changed until I asked several people. Everyone at the hotel is nice. There font desk just seems to not work well with Hotel.com reservations. Next time I stay at the Riu I will book directly through them. It will defeat the purpose of my app and I will loose points but they seem to not like the App.

The walls are incredibly thin and the music outside is sooooo loud late into the night. The resort is beautiful, but definitely not a place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet. The room service staff was wonderful. The staff around the pool was great as well.

This was such an amazing trip. Breath taking views. The staff is supper friendly. Great food.the entertainment is above and beyond!!. I just wish i could get the name of the 3 signers on our first night march 5th they were so amazing. I teally want to go back soon

We loved the recently renovated rooms and restaurants. The pool upgrades and the pool bar were also very nice. We were sorry to see the lounge gone and replaced with a lobby bar. The ambiance was noisy and the music couldn't be enjoyed like it was in the lounge. But overall the beaches and staff were excellent and super clean

The facility was very clean and all of the employees were very helpful and pleasant. Three pools were nice so you could go to the quiet pool, the drinking pool or the activities pool whichever your preference.

This property is beautiful. The food and drinks were amazing. The staff was always so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were plenty of loungers. No need to play the early morning towel game. Always some activity going on. We also enjoyed the evening shows. Just be careful around the pools as the cement is very slippery. Saw many slips and falls. We will definetly return.

This is the best service I’ve ever received at a resort. Every single person we encountered on a daily basis was friendly and helpful. In addition, the food was excellent, the beach and pools were gorgeous, and we loved our stay. If there was one thing to recommend, it would be to have the gym open earlier in the morning (7am is late for early risers who want to get their workout done before the gym gets busy).

Second time we have stayed here. The refurbishment is great and the room was beautiful. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Unfortunately the weather did not co-operate but that is out of anyone’s control. Would definitely come again

This hotel has been renovated and is in tiptop condition. The facility is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the food is wonderful. It is a little noisy at night for those of us who like to go to bed early but then it is very quiet in the morning for those of us who like to get up early.

We have not stayed at this property before however we were thoroughly impressed with the overall ambiance and decor. The resort is beautiful. Apparently it was remodeled and the design is elegant and you can tell a lot of thought was put into it.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. We also appreciated that on the last day they held our luggage and allowed us to continue enjoying amenities until later in the day when we departed for the airport similar to our early arrival.
The cleanliness was great. The bathrooms were constantly maintained and I never saw an area that wasn’t well kept.
Food is the only thing that isn’t amazing but it’s also not bad. I would say it’s mediocre but wouldn’t sway us from staying here. The cafe was wonderful and there are several restaurants to choose from but it’s definitely resort style food. I would give the food a 4 out of 5.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

My husband and I surprised my sister for her wedding anniversary. Her husband was in on it, but she was so thrilled to see us walk into the Italian restaurant onsite!! Having various restaurants on site as options, was wonderful! We enjoyed our room and we enjoyed the property, atmosphere and surroundings. We had a memorable time and we felt very safe.

There are quite a few nice things about this property. The beach was very nice as were the pool areas, with lots of lounge chairs at either. The lunch area by the pools and beach was excellent. Overall they kept all areas very clean.
There were quite a few negatives as well. They allow smoking anywhere on the beach. Internet access wet very unreliable and dismal for the most part. Many evenings the food was good, but it was not consistent. The next night, food at the same restaurant would be just ok. Sometimes the waits were long and one night we waited for over 2 hours to get into the steak house. The Steak house and fusion restaurant were consistently the best, the sports bar was also consistently good.
The charging ports by the beds turned off when you removed the room key to leave the room, so we were unable to leave devices to charge when we went for breakfast or dinner. The room security boxes were on the floor which was very inconvenient for something the gets used numerous times a day.

We had a wonderful stay at this all inclusive. It was quiet, super clean and the staff we all, without exception, excellent….friendly and hospitible. The food was amazing!! Fresh and well prepared. The only bad thing about our trip was my bag was stolen from, we are thinking, the beach.

We loved the entertainment staff. They were talented and energetic. In fact, all the entertainment was stellar.
That said, the pool areas were treacherously slippery, there were too few restrooms (especially since most of the guests were seniors).
Another thing to note: we were taken by bus to the Riu Jalisco for a Neon Party. The Jalisco is by far the ugliest hotel I have ever seen. It looks like some low level of hell. Really!!! Nightmare material. Also, on that bus they loudly played an endless loop of Riu propaganda. Awful!!!
The food was passable, the buffets were the best option.
On a positive side, all the service people were wonderful and deserve raises for incredibly hard work.

We having been going every year back to Rui Palace as it is an excellent beautiful resort. Their buffets is spectacular with so much varieties to choose from. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean with no musty orders.

Read this. I agree with all other positive reviews. AND Yes, it is adults only. BUT make sure you do know that most adults are over 50 years old. Its like a retirement center. We just got back. Were there from Jan 29 to Feb 2. I am 38, i literally saw maybe 2-5 other young couples. No joke. I think majority of people were between 60 and 80. If this is your age group then its great! If not... i would go else where. I guess it make sence cause younger crowed are in school... and young parents are with kids. Just keep that in mind. You have been told:)
