Great place to stay in Merida, we moved to nearby Hyatt after our stay in Ibis and immediately regrated it.

This is a really well-managed hotel. The staff are universally courteous and helpful. No one working there had to look up from their phone when I approached them. The interior was immaculate. They vacuumed the hallways two or three times a day. It's on Calle 60, which is just under a mile from the center of the historic district and walkable when it's cool. I love this place.

Hotel staff was amazing and helpful, location was on point. Everything was perfect! Will definitely come back to this hotel in my future trips to Merida.

The value for the money was excellent. Breakfast was surprisingly good, offering a wide array of Mexican options and fresh fruit. I lost a hat, we were pleased that when we returned in the evening, the staff was holding it at the desk for me. all in all an excellent value.

Room was super tiny for a family of 4 we couldn’t fit our luggage open. Service was ok, when we arrived, there were only 2 towels, when we asked for 2 more for the kids, girl at the front desk told us we had to go down to reception to get them because they didn’t have room service. Not what you would expect at a hotel, they should have at least one person to fix issues like this, because it was their bad not to have room ready for us. We Didn’t feel welcome. The location is great but that’s about it.

GOOD ---very clean and quiet .
NOT GOOD --- only 1 English TV channel that repeated the same 2 documentaries over and over for our 2 day stay. Also too far from downtown . No swimming pool .

We paid for 3 rooms “double bed” and they give us a single bed , when we back to the front desk and ask for a change they said ni because that is we rent .

Staff do not speak English. Friendly towards locals but not as much for Foreigners.
No designated smoking area, ash trays or sitting arrangements for smokers. No toiletries provided. The bed is prone to cause back pain

Not very good reception staff, had to argue to get extra towels, no facials or hand towels. Pillows very hard to the point they caused neck pains. Limited restaurant facilities.

Great stay at Ibis! First time staying here and it was great! They held our bags for us while we went to explore since our room wouldn’t be available until 3pm and in fact we got our room at 2:30! So that was a win.

Compared to other properties out had excellent value for what you got. The kitchen stayed open late to cook me something to eat since I arrived after they closed.

The location is perfect.
I loved all the employees, they are so polite, friendly and always willing to help.
The hotel looks like new, so clean and beautiful.
There’s enough parking and it is included in the nightly rate.
I am still amazed at how confortable the beds are, like a cloud.
There are only tree things that were King of a downer: the shower is quite small and the shower had is directly in the ceiling, a bit awkward when you only want to wash the body, then there is no desk and no place to put suitcases as there was only an extremely narrow closet, and the 3rd is the cable tv, my friends only spoke English but unfortunately 95% of the channels were in Spanish.
But honestly overall it’s an amazing place to stay, the little downsides won’t stop me, I’ll try to stay there every time I go to Merida.
