Wonderful quiet neighbor with a friendly host. Joe was very helpful and served a hardy breakfast. He helped me with bringing my luggage up to my room. Thanks for that.

The Way Side Inn is a fantastic place to stay. Joe is such an engaged innkeeper. He was attentive and spent time chatting during our delicious breakfast. The bed was so comfy. The shower was very nice. We loved seeing the huge oak tree. Joe was happy to fill us in on the history of the inn. We felt safe and like we had stepped back in time to a slower time.

Nice change from staying in a hotel. Host was very friendly and historically informative. Breakfast offerings were very satisfying. Bed & room were very comfortable. If using stairs is of a concern, there is no elevator option.

Got in very late (1am) and Joe was super accommodating! We slept well in the comfortable bed on the 3rd Fl (Betty’s room). This B&B is so charming, I think it’s from 1790! The next day we explored Old Elicott Coty and went to a show at Post Merriweather Pavillion. The breakfast the next day was delicious and huge! Joe gave us some history and it was fun hearing his story! Would def stay again! No elevators for those who can’t do stairs just an FYI.

The Inn is clean and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee was very good. The location is perfect for visiting Old Ellicott City and Meriwether Post events. Definitely a bargain and so much nicer than the namebrand hotels! Highly recommend!

We came her for our anniversary. The breakfast every morning by the owner, Joe, was our favorite. The room was great too. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. We would go back :)

Joe seemed very demanding and lacked hospitality. His family paraded around in pajamas. He claimed to give me an upgrade but the room I did stay in had no amenities listed on Expedia. The shower wouldn't drain. Sadly, I was there for my Father's funeral but he was more worried about breakfast than he was empathetic about why we were there in the first place. Not to mention, he never accomodated our vegetarian diet needs instead he served grilled cheese and eggs for two days. Then, told me he had too much to do to get to the store to buy veggies. To top it all off he charged me for God knows what now I'm in the middle of a dispute. Stay anywhere else...this place is not worth the trouble.

Room and bathroom were perfect and comfortable. Breakfast was the best I can recall I have ever had in a hotel. Wonderfully prepared meal in a serene dining area overlooking a pond. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay. Owners were friendly, room was comfy and large with an extra sitting room. Loved the colonial feel and charm, down to the creaky floors and claw foot tub. And the breakfast- so good. Delicious French toast, an egg, bacon and sausage, served with a friendly smile. Highly recommend.

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast. We've lived in an older home a few years ago and this definitely brought back the memories! We loved the quietness, the amenities, the comfortable bed and bedding! We even we're able to get chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary!
The robes were luxurious and the jetted tub did not disappoint!
Breakfast the next morning was perfect and delicious!
We enjoyed our stay so much!

The property was lovely with clean, well appointed rooms in a very special early American property. Joe, the proprietor, is an excellent cook! The breakfast was wonderful and the Inn is close to everything in Ellicott City area as well as Baltimore. Also, had time to play some golf while there. Several great courses nearby! Would definitely stay there again!

We were in town to see a show at Merriweather Post Pavillion. It was a quick - less than 10-minute drive to the show. The Inn was a great place to stay while visiting. Breakfast was wonderful. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Everything you would want/need to make the stay feel like home.

A charming B&B. We will be back again. The breakfast was delicious. We liked the option to pick our time for breakfast.

A quick overnight stay that left me wanting more! Everything about the place is wonderful and exceeded my expectations. The new owners are ably carrying on a long tradition of gracious hospitality. The two-room, 3rd floor Margo's suite was quiet, full of light, with lots of attention to comfort and decor. The owner left fresh fruit salad with yogurt for me, since I had to depart before breakfast. The stairs in this historic c.1780 stone manor treasure were somewhat of a challenge for my old legs, but manageable.
