Very central and close to Union street.

Ticked all my boxes. Only query I had was the strong smell of tobacco on the first floor landing at the lift access/egress, which I reported and appeared to have been dealt with as it had vanished about an hour or so later.

Location great and room clean and everything worked. I still don't understand why all hotels don't have a plug socket by the bed - but that is the case at all Ibis hotels as far as I am aware. Breakfast was good, except the liquid marmalade that comes from a nozzle. I've had better, although I appreciate its small issue.

Check in friendly and efficient.
Room not huge but well designed to satisfy needs for a couple of days.
Bar comfortable.
Bed comfortable.
Compact bathroom with good shower.
Location is almost ideal for food drink transport and culture.
Certainly would consider using again.

This property has kept a high standard since the 80’s with staff just as friendly and helpful as always, the location is ideal for town. The only enduring reservation is sound travels between rooms and corridor readily so hope for quiet neighbours. Very good.

Welcoming friendly staff. Great central location.

Lovely, helpful staff and a clean room with all the usual hotel provisions.
The Hotel is convenient for the main street, cinemas, theatres, art galleries etc. Close to the docks which we had a view of as requested.

I was visiting Aberdeen for the first time as my son was moving there. We decided to stay in the Ibis hotel. Things were going well until the second night when at 3:29am a drunken fool came down the corridor and proceeded to bang on doors and took particular attention to ours. I assume he was in another room but had no key or was locked out. This went on for a while and I shouted to him that he had the wrong room. At 4:18am he came back and this time was more aggressive. At one point I had to put my feet against the door for fear he might break in. There were no telephones in the rooms so my son sent a message through WhatsApp as directed. There was no response. Eventually he stopped and I opened the door. He was standing outside another door and just looked at me. We left the hotel the next morning after little sleep.

The hotel Wifi was terrible and TBH meant that i could not even connect to allow me to work from my laptop.

Perfect location. Incredible view over harbour and sea. Beds a little small (we had a twin room). Will definitely come here again.

Adequate

Staff were great, really helpful and the breakfast at the hotel offers a great range. Only complaint is that the rooms are usually too warm with no realistic way of cooling them other than opening a window (there is no air con, or cool air source other than a window). You can't leave the window open at night for fairly obvious noise reasons.
As a result, the rooms can be well above 20degrees C when trying to sleep which isn't particularly comfortable.

Lovely place for a few nights stay. The bed was a bit creaky and on inspection, had a broken slat that was hastily repaired. The key cards were also very temperamental, losing magnetism relatively easily but the staff were fantastic in getting them sorted

We had a room overlooking the harbour. It was very nice to watch the sun come up each morning see and the ships coming and going.
Location was very good, close to shopping and transport options and it was an easy to walk to see more of Aberdeen. Rooms were very clean and adequate for a couple of nights but we found the automatic room air conditioning was too warm for us. There’s no bar fridge in the room, which made our usual habit of an evening drink, and a simple breakfast, a bit of a challenge.

Unbelievably unhelpful

When we arrived to the room it was smelly, since there is no way to comunicate with the front desk, we had to go down. Staff was not particularly worried about our problem, we said we needed to have a window open, so staff went up and helped us open window. Smell went away as long a fresh air came in. Room was small but conformble. Not very fan of this hotel, but still our stay was good. Very short walk to train station and shopping area.

Lovely friendly staff on check-in and check-out, served me quickly and accurately.
My room was on 1st floor at end of corridor so was quiet overnight and in the morning.
The shower was OK but took a very long time to get any hot water through which is not great for the environment as it wasted a lot of water.
The bed is a thin mattress on a solid base so if you are not a fan of a firm sleeping surface you are going to be very uncomfortable. I managed ok but this definitely would put me off staying again as I prefer a slightly softer bed.
Breakfast was plentiful and filling, lots of choices including veggie and vegan options.
Overall a decent place for a one night stay when going out in Aberdeen but not sure I'd return.
