We were on a nine day trip from Vacaville to Grand Canyon, via Barstow Ca., to Williams Arizona, to Canyonland Utah, to Zion National park, to Bryce Canyon National park, and stopped at the Prospector hotel in Ely, Nevada. What beautiful place. Very pet friendly, room was great, and the staff was great. Best by far

We always stay at the prosecutor on our way to Vegas. Clean rooms,a decent restaurant and the pool and hot tub are nice too. People are always friendly. And after 4 stays you get a free night.

Prospector is ALWAYS our stop from ID to CA and from CA to ID. Never dissapoints and the resturant at the hotel is consistently good. Prospector Hotel and Casino does not dissapoint!

One night stay on our way to Boise. The employees were very friendly. The food was delicious and more than enough. Upon checkin, we were given a coupon for a free gift in the gift shop, 2 free drinks in the lounge, and a 10% off coupon at a local coffee spot. I’d stay here again.

I really liked the personal touches. The room was spacious and had all the amenities you needed. I didn't like that we were on the second floor and there was no elevator to get to the second floor. Then our room was by the stairs so it was noisy with people getting their luggage to the second floor.

By far the most dog friendly hotel I have stayed at. You could tell all the staff took pride in making the Prospector a fun, happy place to enjoy the town of Ely, and inviting you back for more of a visit. Truly a hard place to not extend the stay another night or two.

We just had a short stay while passing through Nevada to Idaho but the staff were all very nice , the room was clean and comfortable , the decor was fun , and we had a fun time in the casino

My only complaint is that I slipped and fell on my way to the hot tub. I was walking carefully but the surface was very slippery.

The room was clean. The mattress was horrible. It had a big dip in the center. We got no sleep. There was no elevator and at 69 that is always a plus.

The cleanliness and overall room was excellent. Only thing they need is to start changing the mattresses as they are starting to dip in the middle. But apart from that, everything else was great.

We love your hotel. We get a king bed, the pillows are perfect and the sheets are soft ( some hotels are rough). The best shower lots of water preasure. Always clean and the little extras make it special. Wish there was one in every town.

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. After staying at quite a few places over the years in Ely, we had never stayed there. Friendly staff, dog friendly ( with reasonable fee) , good restaurant, clean room, great bed, nice shower and reasonably priced.

We found someone's keys when we went to bed. They were under the sheet, made into the bed. Ewww!

Our room was very nice. We stayed in a pet friendly room and it was completely tiled. We didn’t hear any traffic noise or any noise from the casino. Our phone was not working in our room so I couldn’t reach the main desk or the number for room service. Someone did come and look at it, but she wasn’t able to figure out what was going wrong. They need to work on their wiring system as they are using two floor multiple plugins and wires were going everywhere. I had to walk down to the restaurant and order our food to go and take to our room. It took a long time for the order to be completed and I was charged an extra $1.50 for takeout. We will definitely stop there again as it is on our way through Ely, and right off the main road. It’s a nice facility.

Super friendly front desk. Clean, well designed and updated rooms, with high quality bedding, furniture and fuxtures. Far better than surrounding motels in this remote and isolated small town. Good in-house contacted out Mexican restaurant. Lobby and adjact slot room smokey, but guestroom corridors and guest rooms are smoke-free, odor free. A lot of effort and love make this privately owned and operated motel rather nice, and very unique. Clientele mostly North-South transit traffic on the Great Basin Highway...tourists enroute to Las Vegas and points south, as well as snow birds. Appears to be many/mostly repeat guests. Property is very well maintained, in gokd repair, Grounds and parkung are tidy and well lit. Extremely unique decor inside and out (fun ). Dont stay anywhere else in Ely. 3rd visit. Can't wait for the 4th.
